Same here.

Diamond is Unbreakable is my top pick because it had the best blend of plot, characters, and weirdness that JBA is known for. Battle Tendency is my second favourite because it had the best JoJo in his prime just being an absolute Chad. Stardust Crusaders was good but had too much filler for my liking although it really had its high points. Phantom Blood was mostly just an intro to the world and was too short to have the same effect.

I'm currently on Golden Wind but sometimes life gets in the way of watching good anime.

A painful truth

MJBOLT:
....

Milk that galactic cow dry

The Legend of Vox Machina is such a treat to watch.

Achilles100:
I know say abduleez1 and Kaycee will disagree but Roscoe(Reacher) has the best kind of tits.

Just right.

Haven't seen the tiddies yet but she has a nice ass, for a white girl.

abduleez1:
Una don forget Alan Ritchson from DC's Titans show — Hawk.

I've basically forgotten just about everything in the 4 episodes of Titans I watched.
I remember him from Smallville - Arthur Curry (Aquaman)

That Nairaland image compression, though

Annoying ash

This thread was wild asf

abduleez1:
Dune easily takes this cake bruh... I hardly see anyone winning Cinematography.

I thought Nightmare Alley's cinematography was something beautiful, though. You could technically take a shot of just about any scene and it would be art.
Then again, I haven't seen Dune.

webhead:

Which one be Gemma chan

Na the one wey no dey change her facial expression?

I'd still pick her over Meng'er Zhang and Hailiee Steinfeld

webhead:
Give me Eli Olsen anytime; anyday

How tf did whoever make this leave out Gemma Chan?

Achilles100:
So nobody fit help me understand the movie?

I'm torn between Ritter's motives being a long con to get back at Grindle or just plain pettiness because of Stanton made her feel vulnerable in their first meeting.

abduleez1:
He was fvvking AWESOME.
At times you feel pity for his naive, carefree self.

The scene I loved most was the place where he pitched his idea to Rodolfo and Jeremy Irons use vex and artistic splendour destroy him psyche...

What a way to break a man's spirit.

Rodolfo was wrong for that, mehn. There was no need for all that savagery.

Baddestguyp:

Only the Pitch Meetings

I'm not sure, but if I had to guess, it's possible he was trying to create an unusual unique atmosphere for the film. An exotic vibe, perhaps?

This sounds like the only tangible reason I've come across so far.
I'm going to make out time and read up on it. It just felt really unnecessary. Would've even preferred actual Italian over the accented English.

VerifiedStalin:
It's all a question of perception. I understand why he's been nominated, but I'd be lying if I said his performance didn't elevate the film.

What do you think about Ridley's decision to do the whole movie in an Italian accent?

I'mma need the Razzies to get all the way off Leto's back. He wasn't that bad in HoG.

House of Gucci (2021) 8.5/10
Director: Ridley Scott

How do you get people invested in a story that they mostly know how it will play out? You bring that story to life in front of their eyes. House of Gucci's greatest strength is its cast. Driver, Pacino, Irons and Leto had all proven themselves through the course of their careers. Gaga was the gamble, and boy did it pay off for Ridley Scott.
Gaga's Patrizia commands the presence of the viewer and proceeds to show a woman who is as cold and calculating as she can be cheerful and charming. You realize just how much Driver's Maurizio was not ready for her, Irons' Rodolfo underestimated her and Pacino's Aldo was enchanted by her.
But the most development went to Driver's Maurizio. Maurizio at the end of the movie was far from the naive, innocent and earnest young man he was at the beginning of the movie. And this was my best aspect of the story.
Leto's Paolo was another engaging character, toeing the line between comic relief and victim of circumstances out of his control.
Harry Gregson-Williams puts together a decent score.
The accents took a bit of getting used to, though.

Imagine anime spoilers chasing you all the way to the movie thread and it's not even for an anime movie. When people are very dedicated to spoiling.

Barely 5 minutes into Reacher and this dude just made someone apologize with a stare.

Weekend Watch List

- Nightmare Alley (2021)

- House of Gucci (2021)

Looks like the theme for this weekend was the Icarus phenomenon. People rising to great heights and grasping for more, only to fall to positions worse than they had ever been.

MJBOLT:
