Golden Kamuy S4 will restart its run in Spring 2023 season after having gone on hiatus due to the death of a prominent member of the production team.
Condolences on their loss and much appreciation to the production team for still continuing with the show as soon as they could.

Mushoku Tensei S2 scheduled for 2023. Next year looking massive already.

Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc is set for Spring next year with an April release.

Anime-onlies what are your thoughts on Chainsaw Man so far? Did it live up to the hype?

It's a pretty decent show so far. I generally haven't been moved by hype for quite some time now, so the fact that I'm actually interested in its world and characters speaks for the show in of itself.

General question, do you think the CGI has been done right so far? Has it enhanced or detracted from the series?

Aside from the shoddy parts in the first episode, the CGI has been on point so far. The animation is so fluidly done you rarely notice the CG and the modelling looks great overall, both background and central. Can't really say if it's an enhancement as I'm not really familiar with the source material.

I would have loved her directing the whole trilogy and reinstating herself in m glory, but she ain't that good in CBM writing.
I still can't picture a Wonder Woman without Gal.

Gal should calm down abeg. Sad to see Patty go. With a good writing team, she could've recaptured or even surpassed her Wonder Woman 1 achievements. She should have stuck to directing and let others handle the writing.

Series like: Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Boys, Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, and many others. But we won't hear word again because the overrated guy directed Peacemaker.
A movie like Godzilla vs Kong was even released before TSS with the same format but it did 2x TSS. Black Widow was also released the same way and it also perform better even if people still classified it as underperforming.
I just dey look DC with one eye, then see better gem there dem go pick stone.
Since Russo's brothers left how many solid movies have MCU made, non, Those guys are the real deal, not James Gunn.

Godzilla vs Kong spent a week exclusively in the theater before its HBO Max release as well as getting a China release.

Black Widow is an MCU movie. Not really much of a comparison seeing as Thor: Love and Thunder everyone agrees is trash outperformed Black Adam that most people admit is better.

Also no dey give me "many others". Name the many others. Can't be listing only 4 shows for the whole year, 3 of them just recently released.

They can't take any special place in my timeline because that movie and series were just too overrated. Nothing unique or special about them...
Black Adam villain is poor, but for where that TSS big head or starfish villains are, then it's close to god-tier..
There are so many good and fantastic series released within that period to date that Peacemaker won't even come close to, but because it's from James Gun we should treat it special...

TSS massively underperform (bombed) because so many movies were released that year and they still try to make reasonable numbers..

TSS underperformed theatrically because it was released internationally and on streaming the same day. It still went on to become the top streamed DC movie at the time even while also being the 6th most pirated movie between January and September 2021.

The simple truth is that we are overrating James Gunn. Aside Gotg1, which for me I can easily give the credit to Kevin Feige (since that's actually the MCU style of making movies even before they hired Gunn), I have not seen any real hit from him. Hiring the Russo's brother over James Gunn would have been the perfect choice for me, but what did I know. Sooner I believe Batista will come out like Chris Hemsworth condemning the way his thor character has been reduced to a clown...

Also, I actually happen to enjoy some metal. Maybe not death metal but there are some good bands that I enjoy and aren't just noise

Most people don't even realize this. It's just easier to parrot whatever narrative they're fed or agree with.

I actually do have a few metal tracks I enjoy as well. I don't personally think any genre of music is just noise, except for death metal specifically. I'm still yet to be convinced that it's not some devised form of audio torture.

Exactly! James Spader must be having severe back pains carrying this show for the past 4 years!

The makers know they still have a closely knit set of fans that will follow it till eternity no matter how sappy it becomes but they can't fool OGs like us, who know when to cut ties with a show that has gone sour.

NGL, I fell under the James Spader jazz so I still catch a few episodes every now and then.

Shows like this should always know when to stop cuz there is no why to spin the plot past 5 seasons without it been redundant and dull.

They knew they could milk Spader's performance for quite some time. Shows like this are usually the cash cows that fund the more quality Emmy-nominated shows.
