Nairaland GeneralThis Is How You Look Like In The Eyes Of Your Boss by KAYCEEJUNIOR(op): 5:58pm On Oct 14, 2014
I stumble upon this Oando job placement advert at Guardian Newspaper and felt sorry for ‘we' the employees.
1)I began to ask myself questions like:
2)Are they looking for dogs to employ?
if they must illustrate what they need, why can't they use two (2) faceless images of people, one without tie and briefcase, the other with tie and briefcase which projects him/her as the right person that has what it takes to standout.....why should they use dog to define humans?
3) I also realised that the coloured dog at the fore front means the hard working employee who will Work tirelessly to meet up workloads.

This is a real picture of how this multinational firms projects her employees, this thread is open for opinions and discussions, I know that many will say that am shallow minded....but I don't care, I just say my mind and that's the truth

Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Is The Difference Between A Resume, CV And Cover Letter? by KAYCEEJUNIOR(m): 2:21pm On Oct 05, 2014
CVWizards:
The main differences between a resume and a CV are length, content and use. A resume is shorter, maximum of 3 pages. That’s because a CV is more detailed and comprehensive.

A resume contains just about 5 to 6 sections. Namely; Name and contact (physical address, email and telephone no), profile/ objective/ Summary, educational qualification, work history and professional affiliation. While a CV includes a summary of your educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching and research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, affiliations and other details.

A CV is used primarily when applying for academic, education, scientific or research positions. It is also applicable when applying for fellowships or grants. Every other kind of job application requires a resume and not a CV.

A cover letter is different from these two documents above. It’s usually a 1-page document accompanying a resume, which purpose is to indicate interest in a job position, provide additional details that are not included on a resume and market the applicant’s skills.

Note: In Africa and some parts of Europe, when recruiters request for a CV, they actually mean a resume. So don’t get confused!
