adelcole:What are you trying to say? Did you get an invitation to interview or some people told you they got invited? I challenge you to post the details of your 'invitation' here. |
Karlovich:He can't deny this cos I watched it on NTA News last night. By the way, what's Buhari got to do with IPMAN issues? |
Hmmmm.... |
Costa be like "I cost them a red card back to back. My goals hit back to back" Chelsea coach be like " Leicester/Man City come and take the league if you want it" |
Ralphlauren:Are you guys blind or what? The guy mentioned 'a room' which costs N50k per month and I took him up on that. Can't you differentiate between a room and a house? Even here in Lagos where I live, there's nowhere you will be asked to pay N50k monthly for just 'a room'. Why don't you patiently read my post before passing your comments. No wonder students of nowadays find it hard to comprehend English language effectively. I won't comment further on this after this. Cheers |
Source? |
bodescous:Ki la n wi, ki lo n so? A n wi iru, o n wi iru! The guy was talking about 'a room', you were talking about 'a house', where's the correlation? Kindly read my post well for better comprehension before you become 'stale' |
seangy4konji:Oga Ade, sofri sofri na, u can exaggerate sha! I was born and raised in Ibadan, now living in Lagos but still visit Ibadan frequently. To date, I can boldly say that there's nowhere in Ibadan that a room would go as high as N50k per month (N600k p.a.?). Not even the highbrow area like Bodija. You made valid points on the other issues but your analysis of rentage is way off point. Don't scare off the OP with that information. Cheers |
LadyGuinivere:@LadyG, can you imagine, the man even said that he works in a University. These are the kind of people who are doing fake admissions and fraudulent results all over the place. I always ask myself, does it mean that some people have lost hope in themselves whereby they have the mindset that they can never make it in this country? Traveling abroad by all means possible has become the other of the day... Anyway, the VO has told him the implication of his 'illegal' intents. I'm sure that the guy will still go ahead sha. |
@OP, I don't agree with you on this. If you have been to the US Embassy before for an interview, you would have clearly seen that some people do not qualify for the visa. In other cases, some people would have filled their forms wrongly and as such when they get to the interview they will be speaking gibberish. Most time, people engage the services of agents in applying for the visa! In these cases what do you expect the embassy to do? Do you want them to start refunding visa fees to people whose visa application got denied? It is your duty to convince the visa officer whether you qualify for the visa or not. I rest my case! |
@LadyG, I think the best thing for you to do is to switch over to ghost mode on this thread. Those of us who have benefited from the advice yourself, tzetzefly and at the initial stage, suxes2000 posted here can attest to the fact that you guys are merely extending helping hands to people who need it. Some people here already has the mindset of following fraudulent means in their visa application and I'm sure that they will get their disappointment at the embassy. I have been there before and got my visa, those VOs are professionals and they quite know when someone is lying or trying to play smart. Those of you who would come after me cos of this post, please don't bother cos I won't dignify you with any response. I rest my case! Shalomm (like one guy's moniker) |
@OP, I can assure you that if the power to fire lies with your boss, then your days are numbered in that office. If I were you, I'd start looking elsewhere for job cos it can happen at anytime without notice. I'm talking from experience.... |
Ishilove:E don do you before? Were you once a victim of such? No offence meant. Just seeking for clarification |
@Goddey1975, I chose B1/B2 cos I learnt on this thread that both categories cover the same thing - visitors' visa. @LadyG, I'm sorry for the long post, that was how the whole stuff went down. |
Goddey1975:Lagos, sir |
VO: Good morning ME: Good morning VO: You are going to Las Vegas, Nevada ME: Yes VO: You are going for the Accountant's Conference ME: Yes VO: Are you an Accountant? ME: Yes, I'm an Accountant VO: Which school did you graduate from? ME: xxxxxxxx VO: You work with xx xx xx xx ME: Yes VO: How long have you been working with the company? ME: About a year VO: Before then you worked with..... (he left the statement hanging) ME: xx xx xx xx (I finished it for him) VO: Ok. That company does not sound familiar. What are they into? ME: The company is Spanish - owned with the head office based in Barcelona, Spain. VO: Oh ok! And before then you worked with a food company? ME: Yes (I mentioned the name of that company where I worked for about 3 years, which you and I know is the biggest in Noodles manufacturing) VO: Ok, that's correct. VO: Are you married? ME: Yes VO: Do you have kids? ME: Yes VO: How many? ME: (mentioned the number and sex) VO: Ok, that's good VO: Have you traveled out of Nigeria before? (Checked through my passport) ME: Yes. South Africa VO: cuts in.....ok, I can see it here VO: What did you go to do in South Africa? ME: I was at our company's head office in Cape Town for an official training. VO: Ok, that's alright. VO: Congratulations! Your visa has been approved! It will be ready for pick up next week. (Picked up the white sheet and circled the address) ME: (Trying not to betray emotions) Thank you! When I got outside, I let out a deep sigh of relief and thanked God for the favour. I observed that all the questions asked were taken from the information filled on the application form which he was seeing on his computer. I can attest to the fact that the VOs are all professionals and I don't think they deny people needlessly. If you have a genuine reason to be in the US, you have home ties and travel history you stand a great chance of getting the visa. Above all, I give God all the glory for His mercy and favour which gave me the success! |
Good morning all I just got my visa approved about an hour ago... |
Experience |
Eish!!! Very scary... |
Hello. Please is this car still available? Your number is switched off when I called.... |
How could you be the OP and FTC at once. It's unfair.... |
worry359:Thank you for your response. However, without sounding boastful, at my level I don't need to lie to get a US visa. The reason for not going with my family is just as you have rightly stated "I can't afford to pay for their trip at the moment" I have a good job with good pay and high degree of security which I can't abandon and abscond. I would appreciate more responses. |
I intend visiting the US in October. I'm married with kids but I would be travelling alone. The only travel history was an official trip to South Africa for training. My question is....should I tell the VO that I'm going for tourism (which is actually the purpose). I've learnt from this thread that they see vacation as a family thing. Also, what would be a valid response to the question of why I am not travelling with my family. Thank you. |

Nice one @Tunde |
superchi:Hello Superchi, Please could you share with me a template for the below: Travel plan: my itinerary (tourist attractions I intend to visit) and breakdown of expense (cost of flight, taxi, local transport etc) Thank you. |
Hmmmm.....I smell FP My nose didn't disappoint me... |
