Politics / Exemption Certificate Allegedly Issued To Adeosun Fake - Ex NYSC Boss by Kayus4real: 8:11am On Jul 12, 2018
A former Director of Mobilisation at the National Youth Service Corps , Anthony Ani , says the certificate of exemption purportedly issued by the NYSC to the Minister of Finance , Mrs Kemi Adeosun , is fake .
Ani said this during an interview on S unrise Daily, a Channels Television programme , on Wednesday.
He said , “ The NYSC cannot issue that kind of certificate. Yes , the one reported by Premium Times . We could not have issued that type. ”

The former NYSC director , who was in charge of deployment of corps members , said Brig . Gen . M . I Tsiga was the Director -General of the NYSC in September 2009 but curiously , it was Brig . Gen . Yusuf Bomoi , who purportedly signed the one belonging to the minister .
Ani added , “ The certificate that I saw , that one that I saw if it is the one that they are talking about , the one I saw online , it was not issued by NYSC . I don ’ t know who issued it. It was not issued by NYSC because what I saw there, the signatory to that certificate was our DG ( Gen . Bomoi ) who left in January and Gen . Tsiga took over from Gen Bomoi .
“ Tsiga was a sitting DG even as of that September 2009 . So , I don ’ t know where her certificate came from but NYSC cannot make that kind of mistake . The NYSC that I served , I know can never make that kind of mistake . ”

He said it was impossible for the NYSC to have issued a certificate of exemption to someone who graduated below the age of 30 .
Ani maintained that the only persons exempted from service were those who had served in the police, military or graduated above the age of 30 .
The former NYSC director said a person who was 60 years of age would be made to serve if he or she graduated below the age of 30 .
He added , “ If you are above 30 even by one day , you will be exempted but if you are below 30 or you are 30 at the time of graduation , you will be deployed .

“ It is not possible to be exempted if you graduated below 30 because it is against the NYSC Act . ”
Responding to a question , he said , “ So , even if you graduate at the age of 20 and you are in the United States and you have not made yourself available to be mobilised , whenever you come back even if you are 60 years, you have to undergo the NYSC . ”
Ani noted that it was a crime for anyone to present a forged NYSC certificate to an employer.
He said all employers were mandated to demand NYSC certificates before hiring graduates .
Ani added , “ If you read Section 13 of the NYSC Act , it says not making yourself available for service is a criminal offence . However , whenever you want the NYSC certificate, whether you delay it until you are 60 years old , you must come to serve because you graduated when you were below 30 .

“ According to Section 13 of the NYSC Act , if you give false information concerning your NYSC , you are liable (sic ). If you present a certificate that was not issued by the NYSC , you are liable (sic ) . It is a criminal offence .
“ Whoever is employing anybody in this country, whether private or government, once you are coming in to accept that appointment , you are to present your NYSC certificate and it is also the responsibility of your employer to request it. ”
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party has cautioned the leadership of the NYSC not to allow the Presidency to coerce it into covering the alleged NYSC Exemption certificate forgery allegation against Adeosun , with a purported investigation.
The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan , said , “ The NYSC must , therefore , know that its reputation is highly at stake as Nigerians are already agitated over the questionable delay by the agency in coming out with an answer on a direct issue that requires a simple computer or even manual file check at its headquarters .

“ NYSC is advised to have it in mind that in this age of global Information Communication Technology , there is nothing anybody can do to suppress or distort facts , even in the public service . Any attempt to cover up will invoke the wrath of Nigerians and irredeemably rubbish the integrity and respect the Corps has earned over the years. ”
However , the Minister of Information and Culture , Alhaji Lai Mohammed , on Wednesday , said it was wrong to say that the Federal Government had not spoken out on the alleged certificate forgery involving Adeosun .
“ The government has spoken . NYSC is part of the government and I have nothing to add to what the NYSC has said , ” the minister added .

Crime / SARS Operatives Torture Woman’s Only Child To Death Over Phone. by Kayus4real: 7:50am On Jul 07, 2018
A Kano- based single mother will live with an irreparable loss for the rest of her life after some operatives of the Special Anti - Robbery Squad in Kaduna State allegedly tortured her only child to death .
The victim , 21 - year - old Richard Gora, was a 200 level Architecture student at Kaduna State University and lived with his grandfather at Gonin - Gora , Kaduna South.

Saturday PUNCH learnt that the SARS operatives accused Gora of being in possession of a phone used to send threat messages.
He reportedly bought the phone from somebody.
It was gathered that the operatives traced the phone to Gora and stormed his residence on Sunday morning.
They took him to their office on Independence Way , Kaduna , and reportedly tortured him.
The deceased ’ s mother , on hearing about his arrest, was said to have travelled from Kano State and went to the SARS office that evening.
Our correspondent learnt that she met Gora unconscious and begged that he should be released to her on bail so she could take him to a hospital for treatment . But the policemen did not bulge , insisting that they would not release him until their boss was around.

An official of a brewery company in the state , Winifred Leha , who shared the story on her Twitter account , @ winnie _ wesley, on Thursday, said the student gave up the ghost that night .
She wrote , “ SARS beat a 200 Level boy till he died; he was the only child. He bought a stolen phone that doesn ’ t even browse . The boy didn ’ t even know it was a stolen phone .
“ That phone is not more than N 10 , 000 . He was unconscious and they refused to release him to his mother to treat him .
“ He was to resume school next week ; though the stolen phone was used to threaten someone , at least they should have released him for treatment immediately he became unconscious , his family is taking the matter to court ! I ’ m happy . ”

However, in a chat with our correspondent on the telephone on Friday , Leha said the mother of the deceased was considering to let go of the incident, adding that she was too distraught to comment on the incident .
“ I talked with the mother of the deceased and she was very emotional. She said she had left the matter to God . But a lot of us are telling her not to let the matter go.

“ The SARS men claimed that the phone was used to threaten somebody. They could not locate the SIM card used with the phone so they traced the IMEI number of the phone to arrest him . The phone had passed through about six buyers before Richard bought it. My worry is that even if the phone was used to threaten someone , they should have interrogated the boy instead of torturing him to death. "
The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr . Mukhtar Aliyu , said Gora was arrested in connection with robbery and sending of threat messages , adding that he complained of illness while he wanted to write statement .
Aliyu, who denied the torture allegation, stated that the 21 -year - old was taken to a hospital, where he died.

He said, "We received a complaint on a case of criminal conspiracy , intimidation and armed robbery. There was this man whose office is at Gonin - Gora. He received a text message of threat to give N5 m or else something dangerous would happen to him. He usually stays late in the office, but on the day he got the message , he left in time.
"Around 3am , five men went to the office, but they did not meet him. He still received another threat message and we started investigating . We arrested three persons and through them, we were able to arrest the man (Gora ). We traced the phone that was used to send the messages to him. He could not give satisfactory account of the phone. Celebrities / Buhari Didn’t Give Me N2m, Says Small Doctor by Kayus4real: 7:13am On Jun 24, 2018
When a former Director of New Media for the Peoples Democratic Party , Deji Adeyanju , recently revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari gave some selected entertainers N 2m each during a visit to Aso Rock in Abuja , it raised eyebrows .

Politics / Offa Robbery: Buhari Speaks On Saraki’s Involvement, Witch-hunting Him. by Kayus4real: 5:39pm On Jun 10, 2018
The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kwara state, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, has said that the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki and the state governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed are being victimized by the President Muhammadu-led government.
Buhari said the politicians were being unnecessarily victimised over the Offa bank robbery saga.

The Publicity Secretary who was sharing the opinion of the APC in the state in an interview with the Punch, said everybody knows that what is happening is a clear case of witch – hunt.
Speaking further, Buhari said, “One can recall how they started with him. The executive started with the issue of asset declaration at the Code of Conduct Tribunal which he said he was ready to face in order to prove his innocence.
“He had earlier raised the alarm that there was information from Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed that
he was to be implicated in a cult – related case .
“We know the efforts and mechanism he put in place to banish cultism in the state . So within a short time that he raised the alarm , the police came up with another allegations in connection with the Offa armed robbery allegation.

“The police said he knew something about the Offa armed robbery . It is a laughable matter to be sincere . We know the antecedent of the Senate President. He declared an asset worth almost N40 bn in 2003.
“How can such a person, a two- term governor , a senator who has been in the National Assembly for seven years and the President of the Senate for three years , be involved in armed robbery? What is he going to gain and achieve from that? It is totally uncalled for! He has never been involved or sponsored any political crime within or outside the state before because he is not a violent person. He does not appreciate or encourage violence. He does not even encourage thuggery.”

Asked about the confession of some of the arrested gang leaders who said Saraki bought vehicles and empowered them with vehicles and other logistics, Buhari added, “It is possible for a kind- hearted personality like him to empower anybody with vehicles and this happen everywhere.

“Go to Lagos State, a member of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajiabiamila, gave out buses to people . Many people are doing
that. Many state governors are also doing it.
“Saraki did not give out vehicles to the boys so that they could use them to rob people. One of the suspects categorically said the Senate President did not send them to rob. So the Senate President has been exonerated already.”
On the belief that the suspects are part of the Saraki ’s political family and card carrying members of the APC, the APC spokesperson said,
“If people are saying that the suspects are part of the Saraki political family, does that also mean that the almajaris, who are fighting in some parts of the country , are also members of the Buhari political family? No ! You cannot say that they are part of his family.

Celebrities / Afeez Owo: My Tribal Marks Got Me Insulted, I Tried Using Sandpaper To Remove... by Kayus4real: 7:17am On Jun 09, 2018
One noticeable feature of popular Nollywood actor , Afeez Abiodun popularly known as Afeez Owo are the tribal marks on his face . While some might argue that he would have been more handsome without them , the actor begs to differ as he told Saturday Beats that he had to face reality and accept what his parents created on his face .

He opened up that initially as a young boy , he disliked the marks and went to the extent of using sandpaper to get rid of them all to no avail simply because he was always taunted by bus conductors .

Owo added that he would never allow anyone inflict such scars on the face of his children.

“ I am very comfortable with my tribal marks now and if anything ever wipes them off my face, I would feel bare or naked and my fans would not recognise me . While I was growing up in Surulere, there were a lot of times I was teased by people because of my tribal marks . They abused me so much but I did not care; today my tribal mark is my trademark. There was a time people teased me so much that I attempted to use sandpaper to wipe them off especially when bus conductors insulted me about it. They always picked on me and called me various names but I thank God for who I am today. I am also glad I did not get rid of the tribal marks . There is no insult anyone can dish out to me over my tribal marks that would hurt my feelings . Although I like my tribal marks , I can never allow anyone to give my children tribal marks , ” he said .

The thespian went down memory lane with Saturday Beats as he spoke about how his parents did not support his career and he had to sponsor his education when he was in primary school .
“ When I started my acting career, it was rough and tough . The first challenge I faced was from my parents who felt I did not know what I was doing with my life . I lived with them in Oyo State and they felt that I ought to go to school to study . They weren’ t pleased with me , so they backed off and I had to finance my education from Primary 5 till I got to Form 5 . When I got to Lagos, I had to fend for myself as well . I got a little place on Randle Avenue , Surulere and whenever I was going for rehearsals , I trekked from my house in Surulere to Saka Tinubu , Victoria Island . I never knew that I would become someone in life . I just went with hope and I had it in mind that if I passed out while trekking either to the venue or back home , then so be it. I got a breakthrough in 1998 and two years later , I produced my first movie , ” Afeez Owo said .

Politics / NASS Should Impeach Buhari Immediately To Rescue Nigeria –fani-kayode by Kayus4real: 7:09am On Jun 09, 2018
You have been a strong critic of President Muhammadu Buhari but always defending former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Why is this so ? Is it that you feel a sense of loyalty to him ( Obasanjo) because he appointed you as minister ?

President Olusegun Obasanjo is an elder statesman , a great nationalist, a historic figure , one of the most respected leaders on the world stage and a man that I love , respect and admire. I make no apology for that. He is an exemplary leader and I consider him to be the most effective and transformational President that Nigeria has ever had . I say this because his record in public office is second to none and what he managed to achieve as President between 1999 and 2007 was not only outstanding but also borders on the miraculous .
It was an honour for me to serve in his government and he taught me much of what I know about governance , politics and public service . He is loyal to his own ( people ), strong, courageous , focused and inspiring and he is a man of deep religious convictions and faith . He is a devout Christian who fears no man, and honours , reveres and loves God . That is who and what Obasanjo is .
Having said all that , I must add that I do not always agree with him . For example, he opposes the idea of restructuring and seems to have reservations about the right of self -determination for the various ethnic groups that make up our country whilst I am a passionate believer and supporter of both .
I also disagreed with his choice of President Buhari in 2015 . I supported President Goodluck Jonathan who was, in my view , a far better man whilst he supported Buhari . I believe that was a grave error on his part and I think that my position has since been vindicated . This is because Buhari has proved to be selective , vindictive, divisive, incompetent and wholly unfit to lead a multi- ethnic , multi - religious , multi- cultural and plural secular nation like Nigeria . I say this because Buhari ’ s only purpose was to exact vengeance on his perceived enemies , divide the nation , effect an evil and ancient hegemonistic agenda, subjugate our people, Islamise our nation , persecute southerners and people from the Middle Belt, humiliate Christians, diminish and degrade the Church, ruin our economy , destroy our country and push us to the brink of armed conflict and civil war. Since he came to power , the country has gone on a downward spiral. Nigeria needs to be rescued and saved.

Recently when President Buhari said a former President ( alluding to Obasanjo) , spent $ 16bn on power and that still , there was no power , you also came to Obasanjo’ s defence . What do you know about the power project that the President or Nigerians don ’t know ?

Obasanjo never spent $ 16 bn on the power sector . The $ 16 bn figure was a fictitious one and it was maliciously fabricated by one Tanimu Yakubu , who was the late President Umaru Yar ’ Adua ’ s aide .
Yakubu , together with his boss, Yar ’ Adua , were hell bent on discrediting Obasanjo and tarnishing his record in public office . Another Yar ’ Adua ’ s aide by the name of Engineer ( Foluseke ) Shomolu, who was his adviser on Power Reform , attempted to counter Yakubu by writing a memo to Yar ’ Adua , warning him that Yakubu was telling lies and he sent the relevant supporting documents to prove it.
Sadly , Yar ’ Adua did not only ignore him , he also fired him for speaking the truth . They probed Obasanjo on the power issue and it failed . The then Speaker of the House of Representatives , Dimeji Bankole , who was very close to Yar ’ Adua , set up a House of Representatives ’ Committee , which was chaired by my friend , Ndudi Elumelu . But after Liyel Imoke , who was Obasanjo ’ s Minister of Power, appeared before them and proved that nothing untoward was done and that only $3 . 4bn was spent on power and not $ 16 bn as Yar ’ Adua had claimed , the whole thing fell apart and they could proceed no further .
Imoke also explained to the committee that Obasanjo increased the generation of power from 1, 000 megawatts per day in 1999 when he came in to 4 , 500 megawatts per day in 2007 when he left office . He provided evidence of the numerous integrated power projects that Obasanjo had established and how Yar ’ Adua was attempting to destroy and frustrate them .
Finally , he exposed the fact that part of the $ 3. 4 bn was spent on buying 18 massive gas turbines which had arrived at our ports two days after Yar ’ Adua was sworn in as President and which he refused to clear and left at the ports to rot . This was all in an attempt to spite Obasanjo and ‘ prove’ to the world that he had done nothing in the power sector .
The irony is that after Yar ’ Adua came to power in 2007 , power generation fell from 4 , 500 megawatts per day to 2 , 500 megawatts per day and it never went above that throughout his tenure in office . It was only after President Jonathan came to power that things started to improve again in the power sector and we were generating about 4, 000 megawatts per day by the time he left office in 2015 .
The $16 bn allegation was probed by the Jonathan - led administration as well . He set up a commission of inquiry , which was chaired by Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State and comprised of one governor per zone across party lines from the six zones of the country and officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria , the Ministry of Finance and other relevant stakeholders and agencies .
After a long and extensive inquiry , Obasanjo was cleared. There was another probe after that by another committee of the House of Representatives led by Aminu Tambuwal . Again, Obasanjo was exonerated and cleared. Finally , the whole matter was investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commisssion , which at that time was under the leadership of Ibrahim Lamorde . Again, Obasanjo was cleared.
It is a testimony to Buhari’ s pettiness , deceit , ignorance , malevolence and deficit of good sense that he should still be alleging that Obasanjo spent $16 bn on power and has the sheer impudence to ask ‘ where is the power ?’ The only reason he is now saying this and asking such questions is because Obasanjo is opposed to his second term bid . That proves to you just how vindictive and petty Buhari can be .
Sadly, he has set a standard that he himself is incapable of keeping . For example , he has spent $3bn on looking for crude oil in the Chad River Basin over the last three years yet no oil has been found . Just as he was asking Obasanjo ‘ where is the power’ , I am constrained to ask Buhari ‘ where is the oil ?’
You said Obasanjo’s mistake was not jailing Buhari for an alleged scam in the Petroleum Trust Fund . What was that about because as far as Nigerians know , Buhari was not indicted in that matter ?
If dead bodies are hidden under the floorboards and are not seen , it does not mean that they are not there or that they do not exist . One day the bodies will begin to stink and everyone will know that they were hidden in order to avoid detection. It is only a matter of time .
Anyone that tells you that Buhari was not indicted in the PTF probe is not being honest with you . The matter was probed by a committee led by Haroun Adamu . Part of the findings was that approximately $ 3bn was missing and was described as being “ recoverable ” .
Sadly, the final report of the committee was never released to the public which I think was a mistake . Only aspects of the interim report were leaked to the press . That is why people don ’ t know the truth .
Yet the matter did not begin with the Haroun Adamu - led Commitee report. It started earlier . After preliminary investigations on the PTF by the security agencies just after Obasanjo came to power in 1999 , Buhari was summoned to the Villa , shown the findings and asked whether he benefitted from the money that had vanished .
He feigned ignorance of it and said that the person that needed to be asked was one Sahilijo Ahmad , who was the Chief Executive Officer of Afri Projects, the principal consultants to PTF , and who also happened to be Buhari’ s right hand man and in- law. Buhari claimed that he did not benefit from the missing money .
Obasanjo gave him the benefit of the doubt and opted to wait to see what Ahmad would have to say once the security agencies questioned him .
Many waited with baited breath for the outcome of the investigation but sadly not up to three weeks after Buhari was called to the ( Presidential ) Villa , shown the preliminary report of the security agency and had his discussion with Obasanjo, Ahmad died. His death presented a major challenge for the investigation and the security agencies . The Haroun Adamu -led committee was later commissioned and still went ahead to do its job and it confirmed the findings of the security agencies that a lot of money had gone missing . However , it was difficult to act on its findings and prosecute those involved because the person that was the principal suspect and witness had died a few months earlier.
How would you describe President Buhari ’s legacy , how does it compare to the legacy of others and what is the way forward?
Buhari’ s legacy is disastrous. Under him , we have borrowed a lot of money, millions of Nigerians have lost their jobs , and industries and businesses are folding up.
He boasts of bringing us out of a recession yet he fails to mention the fact that he put us there in the first place . Food , transport , diesel, kerosene and electricity prices have sky -rocketed. Things have never been so bad in our country and millions of our people are not only suffering and living below the poverty line , they also lack the basic necessities of life .
Transparency International, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch , International Monetary Fund have all spoken about the Buhari - led government. The United Nations has cautioned them . The President of the United States , Donald Trump, and the American Congress have spoken about the slaughter of Christians under their watch and have both said it must stop. That is where Buhari has taken us .
Obasanjo and Jonathan were forward - thinking and under the two of them, the economy boomed , Nigerians flourished and people felt safe from political persecution . They were not tyrants and they were not sadists . You could oppose , criticise and insult them as much as you liked and nothing would happen to you because they respected the right of free speech and they did not take it personally .
Sadly, Buhari is the opposite . Even his own party has been divided and destroyed by his deep intrigues . Many in the APC secretly despise him but they are not prepared to say so publicly out of fear .
The truth is that Buhari has failed woefully and his is a legacy of blood , violence , hatred , division , corruption , ethnic cleansing , mass murder , genocide , carnage and slaughter . Under him , our country has been turned into a totalitarian fascist state where those that oppose the President are set up and all manner of criminal activities are fabricated against them . Even members of the President ’ s party that incur his displeasure are not safe. Look at what they are doing to people like Dr . Bukola Saraki and Dino Melaye. It is utterly shameful.
The 12 - point ultimatum given to Buhari by the National Assembly is too little , too late . You do not warn a snake before you kill it. In any case , Buhari will not back down , he will disregard the ultimatum and he will move against the National Assembly leadership . He has committed many impeachable offences over the last three years. I urge the National Assembly to stop dragging their feet , to impeach him right away to save Nigeria !

You said President Buhari cried like a baby when he begged Obasanjo. How did you know this ? Were you there ?

I was not there when Jesus Christ was born , when He was crucified or when He resurrected 2 , 000 years ago either , but I know that it happened .
But a former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu , alleged that the $ 16 bn which former President Obasanjo purportedly spent on the power sector was shared amongst his friends .
Orji Kalu is my brother and my in - law . I have known him for over 30 years and even though we are in different political parties , we shall always be friends . It is not true that Obasanjo shared $ 16 bn with his friends . My brother , Orji , was misinformed and misled into believing this but the assertion is false . I challenge him to provide the names of those friends that Obasanjo supposedly shared the money with.
In any case , you cannot share what does not exist . I have told you that the $16 bn never existed . It was fake news . Obasanjo never spent $ 16 bn on the power sector. There are no records of such a large amount of money being spent on power during his eight years in power either in CBN or the Ministry of Finance . I challenge those that doubt me to go and check.

Are you saying that Obasanjo and the Peoples Democratic Party - led administrations that were in power for 16 years were not corrupt and that this government is lying about the figures being released to the public ?

I am saying that I do not accept the notion that Buhari is an angel and the absurd and childish narrative that all PDP governments and leaders over the last 16 years were thieves and treasury looters . Such notions are false and they emanate from a government that is foul and malicious in all its ways . The only thing it is good at doing is to indulge in falsehood and propaganda and label others as being irresponsible and corrupt . Meanwhile, they (the All Progressives Congress- led Federal Government ) are more corrupt than anyone else . Let me give a few examples . First , there was Mainagate , then Osbornegate, then Barugate , then Babachirgate and so many other ‘ gates ’ .
They talk about campaign funds , forgetting how they funded their own campaign and where they got their money from. They talk about the National Security Adviser ’ s office , forgetting that Buhari himself got a number of things from there. They persecute and terrorise leaders of the opposition and their perceived enemies , including members of their own party that turn against them with vicious witch - hunts and media trials , yet they turn a blind eye to the atrocities that their own people are committing on a daily basis .
They say that the PDP is irresponsible , yet that is the sort of nonsense that they are doing . Future generations of Nigerians will be paying our debt off for the next 50 years . They have mortgaged our future and destroyed our country. In any case , where is the money they borrowed and what have they used it for ? The same question can be asked about all the money they claim to have recovered . You have been in power for three years and yet you do not have one project to your name which you began and concluded and which is ready to be launched . Instead, you are busy completing and launching projects which Jonathan began and did not have the time to finish.
Buhari calling the PDP corrupt is like the pot calling the kettle black . It is like the physically challenged and the leper calling the Olympic athlete unwell.
They are the very essence and definition of corruption . For example , never in the history of Nigeria has the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation siphoned off up to $ 25 bn through shady deals and contracts in the space of three years .
That has happened under Buhari and it was his own Minister of State for Petroleum Resources that exposed it. The sooner people accept the fact that we are saddled with a perfidious and mendacious government which is run by liars and which is primarily for liars, the better . All they do is indulge in falsehood , deceit and perfidy . When compared to them , the PDP are angels.

This government recently said it was not like Obasanjo’ s government that used the Department of State Services and other state instruments to topple democratically elected governors and it gave instances that included former governors in Ekiti , Anambra and Plateau . Do you agree that this government has done better than Obasanjo in that regard?

The assertion that Obasanjo used the DSS to topple democratically elected structures is another of their lies . There may have been instances of over - zealousness on the part of the security and intelligence agencies here and there but the DSS did not remove a governor under Obasanjo and neither were they constitutionally empowered to do so. It never happened . To remove a governor , you need the State House of Assembly to impeach him and that is what happened in each of the states you mentioned.
The impeachments of Joshua Dariye in Plateau and Dr . Chris Ngige in Anambra were fair and square and I really don't see what either of them had to complain about . However in my view , the case of Ekiti was regrettable. I was not happy about what happened to my friend and brother , Governor Ayo Fayose , at that time and this is especially so given what he was subjected to by the security agencies after he was impeached . I am glad that in the end , he was vindicated.
Eight years after he was impeached , he was once again sworn in as governor . Only God can do that and God is with him . Despite this , permit me to add the following : whatever Obasanjo may have done pales into insignificance when compared to what Buhari has subjected our people to over the last three years.
Ethnic cleansing and mass murder thrive in Buhari’ s Nigeria , yet he not only refuses to arrest, bring to justice or kill the Fulani herdsmen that perpetuate these crimes but instead , elements in his government secretly protect , sponsor and encourage them .
He has declared non - violent groups like the Indigenous People of Biafra that are simply asking for a referendum to exercise their right of self- determination as terrorists , yet he has refused to declare the genocidal maniacs that are known as the Fulani herdsmen as terrorists . These are vicious , murderous and callous monsters and an ethnic militia and jihadi army that do nothing but target primarily Christian communities and slaughter defenceless and innocent men , women and children, yet Buhari regards them as his kinsmen .
He promised to stop Boko Haram but instead of doing so , he has empowered them. He targets members of the opposition , violates their human rights , sets them up for malicious and politically - motivated prosecutions and intimidates , locks up and threatens journalists for speaking the truth .
He detains his perceived enemies indefinitely, he violates court orders by refusing to release them . He appoints a northern Muslim to head every single security agency in the country and every branch of our Armed Forces , except for the Navy .
Obasanjo never did such things. Unlike Buhari, he was not an ethnic or religious bigot who saw the people of the Middle Belt and southern Nigeria , and particularly Christians, as nothing but conquered vassals and slaves. He did not promote , empower , protect and encourage violent ethnic militias.

President Buhari recently praised the late Sani Abacha , who is seen by Nigerians as a corrupt despot , who ordered assassinations of people, saying he built roads and so on , what are your thoughts on this ?

He also said that the Nigerian Army treated the Biafrans with restraint during the civil war . He also said that Nigerian youths were lazy . He also said that all Heads of State and Presidents that came before him were corrupt and that only God could forgive them .
He also clapped for David Cameron , the then Prime Minister of the United Kingdom , when he said that the Nigerian people were “ fantastically corrupt ”. He deserves our pity rather than our wrath.

Politics / I Have No Hand In Saraki’s Travails, Says Mustapha by Kayus4real: 6:52am On Jun 09, 2018
Moshood Mustapha, a former member of the House of Representatives , says he has no hand in the rift between Senate President , Bukola Saraki and the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris .
Mustapha, a governorship aspirant in Kwara , said this in a statement on Friday in Ilorin .
The former Special Adviser to the Senate President on Special Duties said his recent visit to Idris was personal.
“ My attention has been drawn to the rumour going round that I am the brain behind the IGP and Saraki saga.
“ Therefore , I find it expedient to lay the matter to rest once and for all.
“ I want to state that the accusation is unfounded, baseless, untrue and an attempt to malign my person and that is totally unacceptable.
“ I am a very upright and principled person and it is not in my nature to bring down others for self- aggrandisement, ” he said.

He said his relationship with the Senate President had spanned several years, adding that he would continue to hold
Saraki in high regard inspite of their current different political platforms.

“ Therefore , I will never do anything to instigate people against him and I am sure he is aware of this fact .
“ The Senate President does not have any criminal record that I know of and he never indulged in any criminality throughout the period I worked with him.
“ So, why will I meet with the IG to indict him?
“ I will advise the detractors to count me out of this issue and take caution with the way they politicise a complex security issue such as this , ” Mustapha added.
He said his visit to the police headquarters was to meet some friends who were his colleagues during his days in the Nigeria Immigration Service.

“ I am a social networker and I maintain a cordial relationship with everyone across all spectrum but that does not imply that I will use my connection to tarnish someone's image.
“ The issue between the IGP and the senate president, who is the number three citizen of Nigeria , is quite unfortunate and it shouldn ’ t have degenerated to this level .
“ But I am confident that everything will be resolved amicably and everyone responsible for the attack that led to the loss of lives in Offa will be dealt with accordingly .
“ I sympathise with the family of the dead and pray that God grant the deceased eternal rest , ” he added .

Politics / 4 Gang Leaders Accompanied Saraki To Sympathise With Offa Monarch — Police by Kayus4real: 7:22am On Jun 06, 2018
Abuja —The Police said, yesterday, that 48 hours after the Offa bank robbery that claimed the lives of over 30 persons, including nine policemen, four of the gang leaders accompanied the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, to the palace of the Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye, to sympathise with him.
They also said it was necessary for the Senate President to explain why he purchased prohibited arms for the suspects, insisting he had a case to answer.

A source at the SARS office in Abuja, told Vanguard, yesterday, that contrary to widely publicized report, which indicated that Saraki was invited because of his role in the robbery attack, the Senate President was only invited to explain why he allegedly purchased illegal and prohibited weapons used to kill innocent and law-abiding people.
Leader of Offa Bank robbery, Ayoade Akinnibosun (a.k.a AY) paraded by Police Public Relation Officer Jimoh Moshood and Commander of IRT, DCP Abba Kyari during press Conference at Police Headquarters Abuja yesterday. Photo by Gbemiga Olamikan.
According to the source, “it is an offence to purchase prohibited weapons for criminals in whatever guise, be it thuggery or whatever you call it.

“For your information, 48 hours after the Offa armed robbery operation and killings, the four gang leaders of the group that perpetrated the devilish act, accompanied the delegation of the Senate President to visit the Olofa of Offa to console with him over the killings.”
The source disclosed that Police investigators during interrogation of the suspects also discovered that one of the gang leaders was putting on the same ankara clothing specially invited guests wore on the day of Bukola Saraki’s daughter’s wedding in Kwara State.
“So from these and other discoveries, there is really the need for the Senate President to explain these links. Nobody is saying otherwise,’’ the source added.

Health / Strike: No Pay For Health Workers, FG Insists by Kayus4real: 10:30am On May 31, 2018
The Minister of Health , Prof . Isaac Adewole , again on Wednesday said that the Federal Government would not pay members of the Joint Health Sector Unions , who had been on strike since April 17 .
The Minister of Health , Prof . Isaac Adewole , stated this during a telephone interview with The PUNCH , just as Justice Sanusi Kado of the National Industrial Court in Abuja ordered the union to call off its strike latest Friday .
JOHESU, which comprises all health professionals excluding medical doctors , had declared a nationwide strike on April 17 , 2018 , despite pleas from the Federal Government.

The Federal Government consequently implemented a ‘ No work , no pay ’ policy thereby stopping the April and May salaries of the striking workers.
However , the minister told The PUNCH that the workers would be paid for the work done from April 1 till April 17.
He , however , said for every day that the JOHESU workers embarked on a strike , there would be no pay .
Adewole said , “ We are not paying them any arrears. We will only pay them for the 17 days they worked in April. However , any health official who worked during the strike would be paid in full . Some of them actually worked all through the strike. ”
There was confusion on Wednesday on whether the union would call off its strike as ordered by the industrial Court.

The Vice - President of JOHESU, Chiemelie Ogbonna , in an interview with journalists outside the court , said the union would abide by the court order and call off its strike by Friday , June 1, 2018 .
But later on Wednesday , the President of the union , Mr . Biobelemoye Josiah , in an interview with journalists after a meeting with the Senate President , Bukola Saraki, said negotiations were still going on .
A group, the Incorporated Trustees of the Kingdom Human Rights Foundation , had obtained a court order against JOHESU mandating the health workers to call off their industrial action on May 21 , 2018.

However , JOHESU refused to comply with the court order , insisting that it would appeal.
In its resumed hearing on Wednesday , the counsel for the claimant , Nnamdi Okere , said JOHESU had yet to call off the strike , despite serving the President of the union , Josiah Biobelemoye , and the Vice - president , Ogbonna , with the court ruling .
Consequently , the claimant filed form 48 and 49 which are for committal proceedings on contempt of the court .
In response , the counsel for the JOHESU President and Vice -President , Hezekiah Ivoke , argued that they had filed an appeal and stay of execution and so the National Industrial Court should decline jurisdiction on the matter.

However , the court observed that the said appeal and stay of execution were not in the court ’ s file.
The counsel for the plaintiffs, I . T Abdussalam , argued that there was a pending ruling of the court directing that the strike should be called off and that the court took the decision because human life , which is guaranteed under section 33 of the 1999 Constitution , is involved and so the court should compel JOHESU to obey the law and not to disobey the ruling which had not been appealed against.
In his ruling , Justice Kado ordered that all the parties should ensure that the court ruling was obeyed . He ordered that JOHESU should call off its strike in 24 hours.

However , it was extended to 48 hours after the counsel for JOHESU pleaded for more time to obey the order.
The court noted that the matter was a sensitive one as human lives were involved due to the nature of the sector involved in the dispute.
The judge , therefore , warned that none of the parties should do anything to jeopardise the dispute resolution process.
In his remarks outside the court , the Vice - President of the union , Ogbonna, said the union would call off its strike by Friday , June 1, 2018 .
He said , “ As responsible citizens of Nigeria , we have decided to honour the National Industrial Court by submitting ourselves to its mediation centre which must commence immediately. We would also call off the strike on the first day of June .
“ In the interest of Nigerians, we are sheathing our swords . We are a law- abiding union and we shall give the law the opportunity to take its course for equity, fairness and justice to all parties
But after the meeting with Saraki, the President of the union , Josiah , in an interview with journalists , declined to say whether the strike would be called off or not.

When asked if the strike had been called off, National Chairman of JOHESU said , “ The other time I told you that the meeting with the Senate President was promising , it still remains promising . Discussions are still on and we have got to significant levels but in our routine , we will also call our members .
“ After further discussions, briefing them on what we have been discussing with the Senate President , we will then communicate to Nigerians on where we are . ”
Asked if the workers were closed to calling off the strike , he said the leadership would meet with the members to determine their decision.
Wednesday ’ s meeting , which lasted over three hours, was held behind closed doors in Saraki’ s office . Saraki had met with the workers on Monday .

Last week , Saraki had begun his mediation between the government and JOHESU over the ongoing strike by the workers which has crippled Nigeria ’ s public health care facilities for the past 40 days.
The Senate President had held a meeting with JOHESU’ s leadership on Thursday afternoon and later on Friday morning with the Minister of Labour , Productivity and Employment, Dr . Chris Ngige and the Minister of Health.

Health / Health Minister Talks Tough, Orders Resumption, Vows No Pay For Striking Workers by Kayus4real: 7:15am On May 29, 2018
The Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, has directed the governing boards of federal tertiary health institutions to convene emergency meetings of boards and order back to work striking health workers.
According to a press statement issued by the ministry on Monday, the minister also had an emergency meeting with the medical directors and chief medical directors of tertiary hospitals to review the status of services being rendered at the various health institutions in view of the ongoing strike.
The minister, in the statement signed by the Director, Media and Public Relations, Boade Akinola, said anyone who fails to resume after the directives of the governing boards, would be considered to have absconded from duty without leave.
This, he said is a serious misconduct in line with the Public Service rule 030413.

The health workers across secondary and tertiary health institutions in the country have been on strike for 41 days . Their demands include increment in salary and increase in retirement age of health workers.
The health workers, members of the union, JOHESU, have also accused Mr Adewole, a medical doctor of bias; and called for his sack. This followed the threat by doctors that should the government heed the demands of JOHESU, doctors would commence a nationwide strike.
The workers strike has paralysed health service delivery across most health institutions. Doctors have been the only health professionals attending to patients. This, however has not been effective causing most ill people to seek medical attention at private health institutions.
Mr Adewole said monitoring teams were dispatched to tertiary hospitals to access the activities in various hospitals and reports were presented at the meeting.

“The report revealed that some hospitals were doing well in providing care to the people while others have performed below expectation,” he said.
The minister commended the facilities that are offering full services using locum staff and volunteers and directed immediate restoration of full services in all the other facilities.
He singled out facilities in North-east, North-west and South-south zones of the country for outstanding performance.
Mr Adewole said there was no reason why each hospital should not have one ward per specialty open for operation.
He said one gynaecology ward, one obstetrics ward, one paediatric ward, one surgical ward and one medical ward should be kept functioning immediately in facilities that are yet to do so.
“The clinics must run, theatre must be opened; there is no reason why they should lock your theatre. No one has the right to lock up government hospitals,” the minister said.
Mr Adewole also maintained that everyone who participated in the strike would not be paid for the period of the strike even if the strike is called off.

“We want you to go back and restore services in your various institutions immediately,” he said.
The minister urged heads of the governing boards to take charge of their facilities. He said any chief executive not willing to keep the services running, should be suspended and be replaced with another officer in acting capacity.

Politics / Sponsors Of Benue Killings Will Be Exposed, Special Assistant On Herdsmen... by Kayus4real: 4:56pm On Mar 16, 2018
The Benue State Special Assistant on Herdsmen Matters, Alhaji Shehu
Tambaya, has said sponsors of killings in parts of the state would soon be exposed. Tambaya in an interview with our correspondent in Makurdi on Friday said it was inhuman for some people with blood running through their veins to keep snuffing lives out of their fellow humans without the slightest remorse. "The Almighty will soon expose those behind these killings as well as their sponsors. They will surely reap the reward of their dastard acts in the hereafter and even the law of the land would catch up with them when they are exposed," he said

The special assistant who lamented the continued killings in the state, however, appealed to the law enforcement agencies drafted to hot spots in
the state to do their best to stem the tide by restoring quietness for people to return to their homes. Tambaya also assured law abiding herdsmen to go about their businesses in the state without fear of harassment and continued to obey the anti-grazing law by ranching their animals in line with best global practice.

Health / Meet The Woman Who Jogs Naked In Order To Look Young (photos) by Kayus4real: 4:44pm On Mar 16, 2018
Ukrainian jogger enjoys running through the snow naked. Inna Vladimirskaya, 32, says that she jogs and swims in the snow every weekend for the past nine years because, she believes that the freezing temperatures are what keep her looking young and healthy.
This brave swimmer certainly has a brrracing workout each weekend – she skinny dips in one of the coldest rivers in Europe –which regularly plummets to temperatures of -9C. The thrills seeker says she’s been carrying out the bizarre ritual for nine years – often alongside her husband – because she believes the freezing temperatures keep her looking young and healthy.
Inna said.
Her most recent escapades were captured on camera by photographer David Tensinsky, who heard of her freezing and naked jogging rituals from locals who have seen her skinny dipping or jogging every weekend.
What do you think of Inna’s routine? Too much, or bring on thecold?

Politics / Hijab Controversy; Protest By Muslim Groups Rocks National Assembly. by Kayus4real: 7:35pm On Mar 14, 2018
A coalition of Muslim organizations, on Wednesday, held a protest rally at the
National Assembly Complex, Abuja, over the decision of House of Representatives Committee on Justice and Judiciary to cancel a public hearing on the hijab controversy between the Nigerian Law School and Miss Amasa Firdus (a Nigerian Law School graduate) slated to hold.
The cancellation of the public hearing was informed by a court injunction
directing the committee to stay action. Miss Firdus came to limelight last
year, following the decision of the Body of Benchers to shut her out of the
call-to-Bar ceremony of the Law School over her refusal to remove her
hijab, the Muslim women headgear.

The public hearing, which was scheduled to hold on Wednesday at Room 236
of the House of Representatives Wing, could not proceed, following an
announcement by the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Rasak Atunwa, that the Committee had received an interlocutory injunction from a High Court
restraining it from proceeding with the hearing.
An incensed Professor Ishaq Akintola, scholar and Director of the Muslims
Rights Concern (MURIC) insisted that the committee must continue. He
claimed that those who obtained the injunction will truncate the hearing if the
committee fixes another date.

"We reject this and we are saying that the injunction is a travesty of justice.
We have come here in peace. These people do not want freedom of
expression and they don't want freedom of speech," said Professor Akintola.
He alleged that the injunction secured was dodgy, branding it a “Kangaroo
injunction, and frowned at the decision of the Committee to obey it.

"If the constitution and government fail to protect us, then we will liberate
ourselves using every constitutional mechanism that will not cause violence
and crisis. Amasa Firdus has challenged the status quo and she is the heroine
of today,” he said.
He said the hearing was prevented from holding by those who do not want
justice to be upheld and asked the Committee to study the 87 memoranda it
has received and take a decision based on the submission of the stakeholders.

Romance / Re: Who Checks The Virginity Of Men? by Kayus4real: 3:34pm On Mar 13, 2018
Kayus4real:
The virginity demand is unbalanced, who checks the virginity of men?
That has always been a big question in showing how one sided things are. For
a lady, virginity is a big part of how she is seen and what she is seen as. It's
almost like a reduction to a second class status without it but should it be
like that?
Is virginity over hyped or under demanded?
With the trend in play today, things have gone from that general demand for it
to a more general loathe for it. The virgin is the one who probably wouldn't
know what to do and would make marital copulation work instead of fun.
But in places where it is still demanded, it is almost like the ladies are being
held to a higher standard than the men so you hear question like that above.
Who checks the virginity of men?
To this, there should probably be a secondary question,
Who should check the virginity of men?
The answer will provide the answer to other questions.
Ladies are quick to cite how unbalanced things are but how many ladies today
want to be married to virgin men who alongside them, would be learning
everything from scratch? Oh, now you are thinking about it.
How many women set such standards for the men they want? Extremely little,
the meaning being that virginity is not a requirement for men even though
some have it.
You'd think this is about religion till you ask the ladies in religious circles to
answer anonymously. I did and I promise you, you'd be shocked at the nature
of replies that came through. But then nothing should really shock us anymore,
the fear of a poor sex life is real and nobody wants that in marriage.
So, to get married to a good virgin man with absolutely zero practical
knowledge on sex or a good man who has had sex?
The general answer is the reason we are where we are today and it is decided
by women, not men.

Romance / Nigerian Girls Are Easy To Deceive – Frenchman Who Slept With 1400 Women by Kayus4real: 8:19am On Feb 22, 2018
His confession has been translated from French to English by Simon Ateba in
Washington, District of Columbia and it reads:

“Good morning Africa 24, I have a confession to make about the havoc I have wreaked in six African countries, including Cameroon, Togo, Nigeria, Ghana and Guinea. I am not proud of what I have done. These were unfortunate experiences.
“In France where I hail from, I did not have money. I was very poor until one
day I played and won lottery. I won 550 thousand euros. It was the largest sum of money I had received in life.
“I did not know what to do, and a friend suggested we travel to Africa. We
obtained all the documents, entry visa, and the rest, and our first stop was
Ivory Coast.
“In Abidjan (the capital of Ivory Coast), we rented a furnished apartment. We
had money to spend and met Ivorian people and we became friends. They introduced young Ivorian girls to us, and that’s when it all started.
“I began having sex with girls every day. Sometimes, I would sleep with three
girls at the same time. It was a marvelous experience.
“I worried less about my health. All I wanted was to have fun. My friends and I
were in a night club in the town every day looking for girls.

“One time, I met a girl and gave her money, and she told me to be engaged to
her. She was ready to get pregnant for me. I don’t know whether it was the
money they liked or the fact that I was from France that attracted them.
“I spent three months in Ivory Coast, spent 60,000 euros and slept with more than 80 girls. After leaving Ivory Coast, I went to Togo where I slept with over 100 girls and spent 40,000 euros.
“I spent three months in Togo and went to Nigeria. Nigeria was where I got
more girls. I did not speak English, and it seems Nigerian girls love foreigners.
“I rented a furnished apartment in Nigeria and I was in Lagos for six months. I
spent 100,000 euros and slept with 230 girls. Nigeria was the place I appreciated the most. Girls were always available and easy to deceive.

“From Nigeria, I went to Ghana, and then Cameroon and ended what I describe
as my sex tour in Guinea. I was in those three countries for more than a year
and spent over 200, 000 euros. If I told you I slept with more than 700 girls
in those three countries, you won’t believe me, but it was unbelievable!
“In all, I slept with more than 1,400 girls in six different African countries. I
have all their pictures in my photo album, including the dates we met, their
names and phone numbers. I opened a Facebook account only for them.
“Since I returned to France, I have had more than 600 of them who told me
they got pregnant for me. Some committed abortion, and I do not know exactly how many finally gave birth.

“Africa is a marvelous continent. Girls are beautiful and very sexy. All they
want is a man who has money, and the worst is when he’s white.
“I realised that they love having mixed race babies. I do not know why, but
many would do anything to get pregnant for you. 100 euros is plenty of
money in Africa.
“To summarise, I went on a sex tour in Africa, I slept with 1,400 girls in two
years and more than 600 got pregnant.
“I know many of you would judge me, but I do not care about your insults. I
know that what I did is not good, but I enjoyed my stay in Africa, and I am
planning another trip to Senegal, Mali, Gabon, Benin, Niger and Democratic
Republic of Congo.
“The day after I returned to France, I went to the hospital for medical exams,
and luckily, I was HIV negative, and I did not have any other infectious disease.
“My friend was also negative and we are planning another trip. I did not go to
secondary school, so disregard my grammatical errors. Thank you for reading
my story”.

Politics / Soyinka: A Psychiatrist Should Examine Me If I Join Obasanjo’s Coalition. by Kayus4real: 4:45pm On Feb 19, 2018
Wole Soyinka, Nobel laureate, says he should be examined by a psychiatrist if he joins the Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM) masterminded by ex President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Obasanjo recommended the coalition in a letter he wrote to President Muhammadu Buhari in January.
The elder statement had asked Nigerians to rally round the movement, saying neither the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) nor the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) could give Nigeria the leadership it deserves.
But speaking in an interview with BBC Yoruba , Soyinka said the coalition
is not meant for someone like him.
“Me? Obasanjo would establish a group and I will become a member of such group? That means they should get a psychiatrist to examine me,” Soyinka said.
He also spoke about the letters which Obasanjo and former military President Ibrahim Babangida addressed to Buhari. Soyinka said people should get suspicious “when these soldiers speak” because there is the possibility that “what they have in mind is different from what we have in mind”.

The scholar said nonetheless, the content of the message should be examined even though the messengers are not trustworthy.
“When these soldiers begin to speak, we are supposed to get suspicious and ask what exactly do they have in mind? It is possible that what they have in mind is different from what we have in mind,” he said.
“You can look at it from two perspectives, the messenger and the message. The message should be examined closely. We should not look at the misdeeds of the messenger alone. Let’s start by asking, is he saying the truth or telling lies, or is he being tricky?
“If he is saying the truth and talking about things that are beneficial to the masses, we would allow that be. After that, we would now look at the person speaking, what is in his mind? … even if it’s a little child who is speaking, as far as that child is saying the truth, we won’t ask the child to keep quiet. We won’t ask the child what do you know? We would listen. It is the same situation with those who have presided over the affairs of this nation without making significant progress.
“We have seen their weaknesses, we have seen their unclothedness in public, if they now want to be covered by saying that they have turned a new leaf, we would examine that, too. What I am saying in essence is that what they have said should also be examined".

He urged the youth to come together and present a candidate to represent them, adding that the older generation would support them.
“We have a lot of them. It is the turn of the younger ones. If they come
together, as we speak, if they can start now and bring out one individual among them, we will work with him,” he said.
“We are going to give them the support they need to transform the country. People like us are supposed to sit somewhere.”

Politics / EFCC Grills Prison Officials Over N300m Patience Jonathan’s Contract by Kayus4real: 7:48am On Jan 29, 2018
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has interrogated an assistant controller of Prisons and others over an alleged N 300 m contract given to some companies owned by Dame Patience Jonathan , wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan .
According to an EFCC detective , Mrs . Jonathan allegedly got some contracts to supply beddings and also fence some prisons ’ facilities.
“We invited some prisons officials including an Assistant Controller, to explain why over N 300 m was paid into the account of a company linked toMrs . Jonathan but they could not give us a logical answer.

“All they said was that the contract was for the supply of beddings and for
fencing some prison facilities . The process of how the contract was awarded and all that remains a mystery.”
The source said the contracts were allegedly given to some companies that
were not registered at the Corporate Affairs Commission.

The EFCC official added, “ During investigation, we discovered that some
companies traced to Mrs . Jonathan received money based on some questionable contracts . The companies don’t exist in the database of the
Corporate Affairs Commission.

“The firms include: Eurorica Concept Limited , Pastorage Vert Limited and
Mabelt Construction Limited . These firms received money from the National
Information Technology Development Agency , the Nigeria Prisons Service
and the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.

“Mrs . Jonathan also used the companies to secure contracts to build rural
information technology centres across the country. We have not been able
to determine all the money involved so far. ”
Attempts to speak with Mrs . Jonathan ’s spokesman , Belema Meshack - Hart , proved abortive as he did not respond to several telephone calls on Sunday .
However , one of her lawyers, Mr. Ifedayo Adedipe ( SAN ), described the allegations as “mere fiction.”
The former first lady has been having a running battle with the EFCC for nearly two years .
The anti- graft agency has frozen several bank accounts with a balance of nearly N10 bn linked to her and some members of her family .
Mrs . Jonathan has written petitions to the National Assembly accusing the EFCC of breaching her fundamental human rights and harassing members of
her family.

Sports / Alexis Sánchez Joins Manchester United As Mkhitaryan Seals Arsenal Move by Kayus4real: 7:36pm On Jan 22, 2018
Alexis Sánchez said he could not turn down the chance to work with José
Mourinho after sealing his transfer from Arsenal to Manchester United in a
deal that sees Henrikh Mkhitaryan move in the other direction.
Sanchez becomes the second high-profile forward to move directly from the
Emirates Stadium to Old Trafford in the last six years following Robin Van
Persie's £23m transfer in August 2012. Like with Van Persie, Sánchez departure is a huge blow for Arsenal but, equally, comes as no surprise. The Chile forward had become increasingly disillusioned with life at the London club, and with his contract up in the summer there had been persistent speculation about his future since the last-minute collapse of a move to Manchester City on the final day of last summer's transfer window.

A move to the Etihad Stadium to link up with Pep Guardiola, under whom Sánchez played when he was at Barcelona, had appeared to be the likeliest
outcome for the player. The 29-year-old had reportedly agreed personal
terms for a move to City during the current transfer window, who had
submitted a £20m bid for the player, only to join to their bitter, local rivals
instead after they came in with a reportedly better package, as well as a larger transfer fee.

“I am thrilled to be joining the biggest club in the world,” Sánchez told United’s
website . “I have spent three and a half wonderful years at Arsenal and I bring
with me very positive memories of that great club and its fans. The chance to
play in this historic stadium and to work with José Mourinho was something I
could not turn down. I am very proud to be the first Chilean player ever to
play for United’s first team and I hope I can show our fans all around the
world why the club wanted to bring me here.”

The blow has somewhat been softened for Arsenal by the arrival of Mkhitaryan. The Armenia midfielder has struggled since joining United in July
2016, but proved at Borussia Dortmund that he is a technically gifted, creative talent. Mkhitaryan told Arsenal’s website : “I’m very happy that we could finish this deal and I’m very happy to be here. It’s a dream come true because I've always dreamed of playing for Arsenal. Now that I’m here, I’ll do my best for this club to create history.”

His new manager, Arsène Wenger, said: “Henrikh is a very complete player. He
creates chances, he defends well, he can absorb distances and he’s very
committed as well. I must say he’s a player who has all the attributes.”
Mourinho paid tribute to Mkhitaryan as he welcomed Sánchez to Old Trafford. “Alexis is one of the best attacking players in the world and he will
complete our very young and talented group of attacking players,” United's
manager said. “He will bring his ambition, drive and personality, qualities that
make a Manchester United player and a player that makes the team stronger
and the supporters proud of their club dimension and prestige.

“I would like to wish Henrikh all the success and happiness that I am sure he is
going to get. He is a player that we will not forget, especially for his
contribution to our Europa League victory.”
