I have been emotionally down than ever since yesterday. I don't even know what to do again. These people want me to loose hope which will never happen. You would recall we paid the surgery money on Thursday and hasten everything she needed for it. They did say on last week Wednesday (even before Thursday that we paid) that the operation could be done any time between that Thursday and this week. Our minds was put to rest when a Doctor confirmed it on Monday that it will be done on Thursday this week only for one other doctor to come yesterday and said it is next week Monday owing to insufficient blood of Maami that she will need another pint before the operation. Haba why na? It was after they did PCV for her which was 27 then that she collected a pint of blood na. Does that mean it has not increased? I do not believe him. But he was lucky I wasn't there yesterday. My sister was. So in a nutshell, the surgery now on Monday.
Please medics in the house, help us in anyway you can. This thing is getting too long and the pain is getting more severe. By that Monday, it would be a week she has been there not counting the number of days she spent in Epe general hospital.

I don't think this thing will be done today. Maybe tomorrow sha which I doubt too because its weekend. A nurse told me now that today is the Doctors' whatever. Then I went to meet the man that helped hasten the scan last week and he said I should let him know if they do not do it today. Now I have to wait till around 4 to know what to do. Do we not have people here who can help us contact them to do it today or tomorrow worst case. I was extremely bitter when I saw the leg this morning when they dressed it.

E-exam ended last Thursday.

Few days ago I posted elsewhere that if not for the education I had acquired (mostly through reading books and listening to action oriented motivational speakers), I would have been emotionally down and perhaps psychologically affected which may eventually lead to severing relationship with people. But the learning over the years had kept me on going and upbeat. This, of course, is one of the many things reading books has done for me.

Reading motivational books inspires. Motivation as we were taught in college can be intrinsic and extrinsic. Truly the best form of motivation is intrinsic, the one that comes from within but sometimes when one is down, depressed and unhappy he might find it hard even sometimes impossible to motivate himself. At that time, a motivational book could be helpful. It might be the inspiration that will spur you to action at that moment.

Sometimes we don't know what to do next in life. Other times, we know do not know how to if we know what to do. Another time, doing it is hard due to fear and other self limiting beliefs. A book by an author might play the role of a mentor at such time. I have personal of experience of this but time and space would not allow me to that here. It's a story for another day. But suffice to know is that, books can play the role of a mentor.

Sufficiently to say is that you have ample anecdotes as example when you read books if you choose to be a motivational speaker. Experience, they said is the best teacher and I add that the best of experience is a personal story. But in a case where you do not have personal story to share, suitable anecdote from a book you had read could be of help.

This is but few of what reading books does.
I hope you make book lifetime companion like I do.

Sorry that I kept everyone waited. I needed to attend to some very important things. They have told us the result. They will amputate the leg, at the knee. I discussed intimately with the Dr but he said that is the best thing to do for her own interest. They told us to go deposit 100k for the surgery, tests, two pints of blood she would collect because her pcv is low and other unforseen expenses. They advised us to do it soonest to prevent further degeneration of the leg. We think next week as this week is gone already. To ensure that next week is feasible we had ensured she did some of the tests needed today as there is public holiday till Tuesday. At this juncture, we need your spiritual, moral and equally financial support in addition to what you have been doing. We had spent a lot. We have even lost calculating. There is one injection she takes twice a day, Mesporin IV, it is #4500 and she has been taken that since the day she arrived - exactly two weeks today. Not to talk of others that we cannot even remember.
