*Hauwa*:Well I make it a point to learn about other people's culture's. Despite what you may think, many of us African-Americans are actually fairly well informed about various parts of Africa. Some know a lot about Egypt, some know a lot about Ghana, some know a lot about Nigeria or South Africa or whatever other area in which interests them the most. I have Nigerian relatives, so I took i upon myself to learn a lot about Nigeria and its people. |
Yes, prostitution was major part of several Nigerian ethnic cultures in the precolonial days; especially within the Edo/Bini, Efik, Kalabar and Hausa cultures. |
tpia:No, although I know you wish she had since you dislike us "Akata" guys so badly, even though I doubt if you've ever met one of us in person. Anyway, they never married-- and for a short spell of time, I heard, they separated do to some disagreements, most likely dealing with her side of family. But she was obviously wise enough to tell them to beat it and she went on to do the right thing by going back to her African-American man and father of her kids where she belongs. |
The most classy prize goes to Sistawoman. The most informative goes to Girl22. |
The most annoying prize definitely goes to that pain in the ass KarmaMod strumpet. The sexiest of year goes to Me of course. But I'll graciously hand my prize over to that New Zealand pigeon, I like her, she's got sassy appeal. The prettiest of the year prize would of gone to Snazzydawn, but she's changed her look and now she aint looking to hot now. ![]() |
Regina looks like an Black-American girl; she must be a South Easterner. |
So you'all don't like me because I'm a Black-American? |
bronx_dog:No, platinum my friend-- Platinum. ![]() |
omega25red:So has dating one been different in any significant way from dating a fellow Naija girl? |
Magz:Are you a Black-American? Most of us do not like to be referred to as Akata-- the history behind the use of the word is very negative, though today many Nigerians and other Africans use it without truly knowing the history behind the word. |
Lagos is rapidly becoming better than Abuja, thanks to Fashola. https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3243/3157340038_15a8316729_o.jpg |
sistawoman:yes, those who so rudely use the term Akata do refer to ALL of us as Akatas. |
If you've dated an Black-American (Akata) how was you experience? Good or Bad? How did it differ from dating a fellow Naija? |
Humm, spoken like a true AA woman. I agree 100%. I have far better things to do. It must be because I am 33 years old or maybe because I have children to rasie or it could be because I have tons of grown ass bills to pay but I could care less how jealous he is or is not. Once it is over it is over he can do him and I can do me. |
Well, I'm married-- though speaking as if I weren't, I'd say yes I would date such a girl if you're referring to a woman who squirts during orgasm in reference to bed wetting. ![]() |
don't you think
