seyewest: Thank you... Can you tell me about the hotel and surrounding area? The hotel ambience is fantastic. There is a swimming pool if you are interested. Apart from the metered cabs suggested. There is a metro train station not too far from the hotel to get u around Dubai if you are familiar with d city. |

seyewest: Gist me about everything from Dubai Airport to Corpthorne Airport Hotel and back to Dubai Airport. I'm thinking of taking a trip to Europe soon and I've seen a flight with 18 hrs stop over that will give provide me with Dubai Connect. It's a nice experience. You will be directed to a window where u will pick up your 3days transit Visa. After you pass through immigration, guys at d Emirates counter will assemble you guys in one corner (lol) inside the airport. Their shuttle buses will pick u up to Copthorne Hotel (although this might take a while depending on the number of people). Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided (buffet) operation showing boarding pass before you enter the restaurant because d boarding will be scanned at d restaurant for records. They will call ur room once its time for trip back to the airport, should in case u over slept. Trip to d airport is usually early probably for checking and security screening. All d best. |

Funmiloveth1: greetings house,
Am a complete greenhorn here, i tried to read part 1, 2 and this very part, but its not been easy to stay on a laptop all day long. Please i will like you to educate me as i don't want to go through any agent. I am in my early 40s, married but separated, i work with a Fed Agency with 20 years working experience, have traveled to Dubai on a business trip sometimes 2007 and 2013 pilgrimage to Israel, now i want to visit US for vacation and if possible attend few days conference as i billed to proceed on my annual leave by June, 2018. Now, my questions are:
1. Do i still claim married because i just filed for my divorce last week due to unresolved issues. 2. my leave is for four weeks, can i go on 10 days vacation? 3. Can i get any free conference to attend especially something related to my career (Drug Abuse Treatment, counselling and Rehab) 4. What other documents will i need to enable me apply for visiting visa 5. All my documents are still bearing my maiden name, do i claim married or divorced or separated? 6. how do i proceed from here on entire process? 7. how do i find conferences to attend?
Thank you all. Congrats ma'am. So it just reiterate d fact that It doesn't have to be Disney land Florida before you can get your family visa approved as some people will make u believe. |

seyewest: Including the old passport won't work because when you do dropbox it must not come with any other additional document unless they requested for additional document (e.g old passport with visa) so apply for your dropbox and luckily you will fill the ds160 with the necessary visa number and code... that should give them a clue of what is going on. In addition, the new passport data page carries the old passport Number . They can check ur visa history in d system. |

meadows: Hello gurus in the house, I have been following this thread for some time now, and I must say it's really helpful.... Myself and hubby applied for visa in 2015 for honey moon but was dienied, in our application our agent filled 300k as our monthly salaries but when the VO asked us how much was our monthly income we said 150k each cos we didn't know...we own our private company...then we applied for Uk and got d visa we both traved.. we applied again last year 2016,2017 with our 18months old son but was also denied we have traveled to Uk 3 times as family....now my question is how do we know if we are been ban... Cos I feel we are been denied cos of our previous mistake which is a red flag to us..Cos I intend to apply in July with my son for child birth... Pls house I really need help on this.... I think there is a birthing thread, that will give u all the necessary info. If you meet the requirement. Do you have a copy of the DS160 form the agent completed for you? If not you may never know the reason why you are being denied. however, you can come clean when completing your next form and let them know you have misrepresented in the past and you may may be lucky to meet a nice VO. |

OmoBendel24: From now till late August, the closer the date the more you pay likewise in December. From late September/early October till November, you can almost still get a fair deal a day to your travel, then from late January till April/May also. What Seyewest is saying is that the FX crisis will relax and be much more stabilized by the coming week hopefully, if I get him right. Fares aren't gonna get reduced in dollars right now per se, but they may in their naira equivalents! Copy that! Thanks for shedding light. |

grabeconnie: Here is my question
I was refused visa two months ago to attend a conference. I am a pastor, and I serve in a Baptist Church, lecturer in Bible seminary. Right now, I am thinking of applying for a vacation visa with my daughter.
Why not with my wife?
She will be in school, writing her final paper, and also she is pregnant.
I know the outcome of visa approval is not predictable, I just want your insight and your contribution, if you were the visa officer that would interview me that day.
Looking forward to hear from you soon. Has ur circumstances change since d last application? Moreover, given that itt was two months ago u were denied d VO may sense desperation due to timing and purpose of visit. If u ask me, i'll say give it some time before u re apply |

LadyGuinivere: Beautiful. So the question is, why take an avoidable risk? What will 1 or2 extra days filling the form cost an applicant? Compare that to the stress of spamming this thread and airtime calling the embassy. Or even the tp to the embassy only to be turned back I will use myself as a practical example. I booked our appointment before submitting d DS160 forms for 2 reason. D passport photos required for my wife n kids were not yet taken (learnt on dis forum on how to circumvent that now. thanks to ladyG) 2. I wanted an early date so that I can try other countries if denied before d summer madness began. I almost succeeded unscathed until I discovered I didn't save my son's DS. 160 form properly before using d code to book for an appointment. Did what I learnt on dis platform and d rest they say is history. In as much as it is good to follow d rules peculiar circumstances may not permit in some cases. However, if u plan shunting, Pls, pls pay attention to details (I would have felt so. Stupid if I discovered on d day of d interview) |
Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Kbuddie: 11:45pm On Jun 09, 2016 |
@Gflat, a lot of things could have gone wrong. I believe each application would have been considered on its merit. Some may be denied for lack of travel history, while others based on d profiler of DS160 forms or attitude and expression during d interview. Or simply hard luck. There are 1001 reasons even d VO may just not like someone's face seyewest: I don't mean it that way but maybe it's the same agent that filled the form and everything is generic.. like where they asked you what you do and mind you the probability system on the computer is very smart..this is what they look out for.... 25 Glo staff were denied visa out of 30 when I got my visa that day... We can't say they are not well educated or do not have good enough ties. |

latech: I am one of the silent reader of this forum. This will be my first post here in almost 2 years. I thank everyone that has taken their time to share their knowledge and insights on obtaining US visa. I secured my first US visa this week at my 3rd attempt. I have a brother in US who filed for my family since 2007. My first attempt was in 2010 going for training but was refused. I attempted again in march 23rd this year, going for holiday, the VO asked me only 2 questions and denied me. I thought I was denied again because of my pending immigrant application but when I read the VO's comment here that this category of people still get visa, I then decided to give it a shot again. Below is the script of my interview:
Vo: Hi Me: Hello Vo: Why are you going to the US Me: To attend training on ...... during ....... Exhibition in Texas Vo: What do you do? Me: I'm an ............. professional Vo: Have you traveled before? Me: Yes Vo: Where & where? Me: China, South Africa, Kenya & some west African states Vo: Are you married? Me: Yes Vo: How many kids? Me: 3 Vo: Tell me more about the ....? Me: Please can you come again? Vo: Tell me more about the training you are going for in Texas? Me: .............................. is ............, we need this training in order to...... Vo: (Cut in) ok.... kept typing for about 45 secs..... pls pick up your visa in 3 working days and she stretched the white form across...
Please note that I stated my purpose at the exhibition, I learnt that from this forum! Then, I noticed that these guys give people visa only at their discretion, while I was on the que, a woman in her mid 50s going to visit her student son in the US was issued the visa when she even stated that her son in going to pay for her trip. I can say it is just FAVOUR of God!
Thanks everyone! Congratulations! @ slightlymad here is another exception to ur generalised believe. |

LadyGuinivere: Option 1. Upload any nansense pix egs pix of a tree. It will reject it and give u the option to proceed without uploading.
Option 2. Reduce the size via my native way of doing it. Email the pix to yourself. If its a BB, you get the option to reduce the size.Choose the medium. It comes back to you smaller and within the appros size Information is power! Being on this platform is simply priceless. I had to wait about a week to get my kids pictures to complete their DS forms. Only to see people without pictures on their DS160 forms @ d interview. If yes go through d procedure as laid out in d birthing thread. 2. Do you want to visit d US sometime? If yes go back to Q1 above. Got my family Visa and below is d transcript: We: Morning VO: Morning Vo: ur passports pls Me: Passed them VO: why are you going to the US? Me: we are going for another Family Vacation. VO: where are you going in the US. Me: Maryland. VO: When was ur last vacation Me&Wife: (Chorus) 2014 . VO: where have u been. Me: UAE,UK VO: what do u? Me: I'm a structural Engineer VO: Engineer that's cool. VO: Madam what do you VO: I'm a homemaker VO: A nurse? Me & Wife: Homemaker (we all smiled including VO) VO: I thought u said nurse. Do you have anyone in the US? Wife: yes, my cousin. VO: Are u staying with your cousin? Wife: Yes. VO: (addressing Wife)you had a DV but you didn't go. Wife: Yes, I was in school. (All the while he's been typing vigorously) I've never had my US Visa interview without barrage of Questions but this was different. He was typing most times and asked questions intermittently. on the VO: your Visas have been approved..... Me: Thanks.
Guessed it's God time! Also, it's good to say the truth. My wife won d lottery back in 2005, she was surprised it was raised @ d interview. For d legit applicants wish u God's favour. |

Governoryomi: Good morning house. i already applied for B1/B2 visa twice last year, June and October, but was denied. I have again now gotten an invitation in a first tier educational institution for a short program of 5days, of which i was advised to apply for visit visa as i-20 can't be issued to me as i do not need students F 1 visa, for such short program. Now my question is this, any hope of getting it right this time around, even with this kind of situation. I know how it feels to have tried it twice and failed, though i have learnt from past failures, coupled with my exposures here. I now know better! Kindly add your advices and comments pls. Lagos or abuja? Which is better? I have been to both in my past failed attempts. This is just an advice, I overheard a VO telling a lady April 2015, that she will keep getting denied if she keeps re-applying within short periods and going to US for different reasons. Please don't be desperate except u wan relocate mischievously. However if that's d plan then you are on the wrong thread. This is only for legit visitors to d US. |

You can also call the Embassy on 014406218 they ask for d passport Number and ask a few details of the person. They will change it @ their end and send u a mail showing the new DS number. You can also reprint the appointment from your profile once u get the mail. (however, u must listen very well to hear what they are saying on the phone. I had to keep saying pardon, can u repeat that again) kennycanny: Pls can someone send the email add to send the above documents to in other to change Ds 160 form.

i work in a federal establishment earning about 100k per month. my establishment is about to send some people to the US for a convention though they wont be footing the bills. All they will do is make you get your papers easily by presenting you as their own. fortunately, i am among the few selected interested ones.
now my dilemma is that i think it is not wise to use my years savings in footing a trip which i wont benefit from economically considering my financial status. using all my savings in going to the State just to stay for about a month and come back to the country broke. i am actually interested in going and disappearing and try to make a life there. but my parents have advised me that it is not wise to leave my job to an uncertain future. To make matters worse i don't know anyone there who can accommodate me and put me through. No contact whatsoever to take shelter with.
i am torn between taking the risk and staying back entirely and hustling it out in Nigeria as a civil servant but i don't see myself making it big in civil service except i get the opportunity to dasukigate some funds from our government. lol
