Foreign AffairsIsrael Allegedly Tricks Major News Outlets Into Reporting A Fake Gaza Invasion.. by kcay(op): 12:37pm On May 16, 2021
Israel accused of tricking major news outlets into reporting a fake Gaza invasion to lure Hamas fighters into tunnels that were targeted for massive airstrikes

Early Friday, it was widely, incorrectly reported that Israeli ground forces had advanced into Gaza.

Some observers blame the confusion on a military ploy to lure militants into the tunnels under Gaza.

More than 150 Israeli jets went on to intensely bombard the tunnel system, known as "the metro."

Reports in the international media that Israel had entered Gaza to battle militants are being viewed by some as the result of a ploy to lure the fighters into defensive positions that made them targets for Israeli airpower.

On Thursday, news that Israel Defense Forces troops were massing at Israel's border with Gaza was widely reported. Then, early Friday in Israel, an IDF statement prompted news outlets to widely report that an invasion had begun. However, it gradually became evident that an attack did take place but did not involve Israeli troops entering Gaza.

Nir Dvori, a military reporter for N12, one of Israel's leading news networks, described the original IDF statement as disinformation meant to prompt Gaza's fighters to enter the tunnel system, known by the IDF as "the metro," to prepare for street battles in the enclave.

"The IDF makes Hamas think that a ground operation is beginning, which causes the organization to bring in all its fighters, including the Nahba, the special force of Hamas, to go down into the tunnels and prepare for combat," Dvori wrote.

"Then for 35 minutes, 160 planes hover over Gaza and drop 450 bombs, which are over 80 tons of explosives, on the entire Gaza 'metro.'"

Does this happen not too long after meals, even if it's just a few snacks?

1. Eat "very" light in the morning before setting out. Don't have breakfast at work. You'll shutdown.
2. Take light lunch between noon and 3pm, you can eat heavy foods after 4pm
3. If you eat late, take dinner between 8 - 9pm, I'm sure you'll feel sleepy almost immediately after. You need to go to bed early in order to wake up early and sharp.
4. Do some exercises
5. Take a moment for some 30mins rest at work if you feel sleepy. That'll be enough gas to take you through the day. You may need to set an alarm so you don't overshoot.

I hope these can help you.

During afternoon and night sleeps, the sleep is usually very deep (REM phase or whatever you medics call it, please correct me) and usually characterized by heavy dreams.

Even during work, I'll always take the risk to create some time to have a little sleep. I've been battling this for about 5 years now. What could be wrong.

That's popularly called the Aguada Coconut among the Osime people in Imo state. It is usually found close to shrines. It is usually used in preparing different jazz ranging from special solution for sprinkling on farmland or landed properties to prevent land encroachment, also used to cause miscarriages and stroke when the victim steps in the water.

It's advisable not to drink nor spread anyhow on the floor such that someone steps on it as myths have it that it causes bad luck.

RomanceWhat Percentage Of Your Income Should You Not Exceed On Your Partner? by kcay(op): 11:46am On Nov 27, 2019
So guys, as we all know, November will be wrapping up in a few days. For some, pay-day has come and gone, while for others, prolly today - that's if bank network doesn't fail, tomorrow, in a few days, the middle of December or till when your Boss reason your side. My bad, lol.

Now jokes aside, some of us know it is that time of the month when Amaka, Sandra, Bola, Sandra, Blessing, Aishat etc will be expecting some Naira/Dollar/Pounds/Euro in their account for "upkeep" as it is the usual practice every month, or to get that bag or gown she told you about some days ago which you will be required to respond to, right?

Once in a while, we need to commit financially to our relationships. However, we should know when to put a limit so we do not become victims of bankruptcy for some ladies who believe you need to break the bank or buy the world for them whenever they ask to prove that you really love and care about them (Scam!).

Although, there are some special events, occasion, or maybe life-threatening emergencies that may require you to break your monthly limit for your girlfriends/partner, nonetheless, in my opinion, I think guys shouldn't exceed 10% of their "Fixed Income" on their girlfriends. 5% - 7.5% I think is ideal.

On a N100,000 salary, do not exceed N10,000 monthly.
On a N500,000 salary, do not exceed N50,000 monthly.
And so on...

By the way, when I mean fixed income, I am referring to salary/wage - something you are certain of receiving every month.

I personally don't think guys should give a percentage of their variable incomes - incomes from the side jobs they engage in. This is because when the variable income stops being consistent like it used to before, you will hear some ladies say things like "He has changed, he doesn't take care of me like he used to". A few others are different though.

In your opinion, what percentage will you recommend? Please share.
RomanceRe: She Left Me For A Medical Doctor And Now Wants A Second Chance by kcay: 8:53am On Nov 27, 2019
drlance:
She kept lying about this guy who happened to be a medical doctor, I am unemployed but sell phone accessories and do mini importation on the side but doing my Masters.

It happened that one time she told me she was to travel to Asaba to meet her family members, on hearing this I was happy and looked forward to talking to them.

After spending the night at my place I put her in a bus to Asaba, she didn't pick my calls till the next day.

The next day she posted an outing pic of herself in an eatery I didn't see it as anything but it's the next one that broke me.

A guy took a picture of her with her phone while backing a glass door so I could take that he wore a blue shirt I called that day and when I asked playfully to talk to the family members she asked me "what kind of talk is that ?"

Not long from then I got tagged in a picture on her wall on Facebook, low and behold it was a selfie of her and the Medical doctor in blue shirt and the caption "I love you forever, my personal person" someone she said I shouldn't worry about but he is asking her out, that she knew months before meeting me. She was supposed to be away for 2 days and ended up coming back after a week.

On seeing this I called to demand for an explanation if they were related, she sighed cut the phone on me and didn't pick my calls ever again.

She left me for a Medical Doctor!!

One month later now she calls me out of the blue to ask for 2k to buy foodstuffs. Which I gave without saying a word.

Fast forward to today I got a job with the government and relocated to Abuja.

She called me later shedding crocodile tears and begging for me back.

People of Nairaland, what would you have me do? What will you do if you were in my shoes? It's not my fault she didn't see the bigger picture.

She isn't the first woman that has left me for a better person.
My guy, run for your life. I've been there before. Trust me, you will experience retrogression if you take her back. A word is enough for the wise.
HealthRe: I Have This Skin Problem And I Am About To Get Married (Graphic Photo) by kcay: 11:19am On Oct 08, 2019
All you need is Lemon and Sugar/Honey.

Items
- Lemon Juice (Buy Lemons, cut and squeeze out the juice)
- Cube Sugar (St Louis) or Honey

Steps
1. Add a few drops of Lemon to about 3 to 4 cubes of sugar or honey.
2. Ensure it dissolves to form a paste. Don't make it too watery.
3. Massage deeply onto your skin, more like you are scratching the affected areas. This is to exfoliate your skin

Exfoliation: You want dead skin cells to go off so fresh and healthy one can come up.

4. Leave until it get's dried. (It would turn whitish and the grains of sugar will begin to fall off)
5. You can leave this overnight and wash in the morning. But ensure you dust off sugar particles that have dried before you sleep.

You'll see the result in a week Max

To maintain good skin after that, eat healthy and drink lots of water.

This works to get rid of acne too and is very effective.

Thank me later smiley

RomanceRe: She Cheated With Her 'Cousin'. I'm Finding It Hard To Forgive Her by kcay: 6:53am On Mar 21, 2019
starring:
Good day fellow Nairalanders

I met this girl last year July through a good friend, while I was oversees, we started e-dating and everything went smoothly although, we had series of misunderstandings during December last year but we resolved it afterwards

She called me and told me to me about a particular guy that comes to sleep at her room (she's still schooling), she said the guy was her cousin. I had to believe her because according to her, he is a cousin and I don't think they will be romantically involved in anyway.

The guy slept in my GF's room 3 different times that I'm aware of. He spent 5days the first time, the second time he spent close to a week, the third, he slept and left the following day. She told me each time the guy was visiting, this made me trust her and believed that the guy was her cousin.

My GF and I had a serious argument and misunderstanding this January, my girlfriend's brother had to step in and begged on her behalf. GF's brother and I spoke at length and I used that opportunity to ask my GF's bro about the guy my girlfriend introduced to me as her cousin.

Her brother told me they are not related by blood in any way, that they are JUST close family friends and nothing more and moreso, the guy in question once asked my gf out but due to the closeness of the family, my guy's mum playfully declined the request. Immidately he said this, my blood pressure increased, my heart beat increased 100x faster, one million and one thoughts ran through my head.

Though, I once asked her why the cousin always come to her room and stay longer period of days before leaving, the answer she gave me was that the guy is a serving corps member and whenever he wants to visit his family, he branches to her place and spend some time with her before going home (when I was in Nigeria, I do visit my cousins and spend time with them before leaving so I had no issues with the guy coming over if truly they are related)

To cut the long story short, I asked her about the true identity of the guy, she told me the truth and she swore that they did nothing during her so called 'cousin' numerous sleepovers in her room. I forgave her for lying to me and we moved on.

I got back to Nigeria last month and a source disclosed to me that my GF and her 'cousin' had sex more than five different occasions. (I don't want to reveal my source, my gf is an active nairalander)

I called her and told her about what I heard. She denied at first but later told me that they had sex 4 different times while I was away. (I'm dead sure it must be more than 4 times) She said they made out when we had issues during the December time. If this is true, they had sex 4 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS within the space of 31 days. (if not more than 10 times sef)

I'm so devastated right now. We saw over the weekend, she wasn't feeling too well, I picked her from her school to the school hospital and later brought to my house. She spent the night at my place and begged me all through the night for me to forgive her and that she is truly sorry for the pain she caused me, she also begged in the car with tears and mucus all over her face while I was dropping her off to her place. She said she is a changed person and that her life will be meaningless if I leave and that everybody deserves a second chance.

I honestly don't know what to do at this juncture. I don't tolerate infidelity of any kind more reason why I'm straightforward and loyal to her. I told her I have forgiven her because she wouldn''t leave my car if I don't forgive her. She kept crying and crying making passers-by wonder if I'm trying to kidnap her or something, I felt uncomfortable with the whole situation. The truth is that my heart is far from her the very moment she admitted to having sex with the guy while in a relationship with me. I find it highly disturbing.

How do I leave her without making her hurt herself because she may get herself killed once it's obvious that i am gone for good and secondly, if truly she's changed, is her sin really forgivable and forgettable?
Emotional Blackmail. My guy, it will be a hard and wicked decision but trust me, You need to move o . I've had similar experience.

By your post, you seem to have the weaknesses of being tolerative and understanding. She knows that, that's she is using it against you. I was that kinda person.

Stay and get hurt even more. I could bet 50k with you on this.

PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole: Real Reason Why I Went To The U.S by kcay: 7:39am On Nov 24, 2018
zakim:
From his recent encounter with the DSS, to his attention-grabbing trip to the United States, APC National Chairman Comrade Adams Oshiomhole spoke frankly and in-depth to Daily Trust Saturday about a number of issues. Herewith, are excerpts:

Daily Trust: We will start with the inauguration of the APC’s reconciliation committee. How did it go, and what can you share with us about what happened there?

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole: It’s a routine after every election, even when we do isolated governorship elections. It becomes common that when people go to contest, one way or the other, one person emerges and the rest start protesting and making allegations, some founded, some unfounded. It has become part of our tradition in All Progressives Congress (APC) that after primaries, we try to talk to those who are involved in the process, not only to accept defeat, but to work wholeheartedly to ensure that the party prevails.

DT: Talking about the committee, what would you say is the fate of the anointed or preferred governorship candidates of Yari, Amosun and Okorocha?

Oshiomhole: Well, the process didn’t produce them, and that’s it. We have procedures and this is well laid out and it wasn’t invented by me or the National Working Committee (NWC). These are rules clearly laid out and provided for in our party constitution. Some are also guided by the amended Electoral Act. So, once those processes have been meticulously followed, they produce an outcome. It’s a game of process, not one of power. At this point I wouldn’t want to say who prefers what, but I know that the candidate that has emerged did not seem to coincide with the ones who are perceived to be favoured in those respective states you referred to.

DT: So, we will go back a bit. Online and social media was awash that you ‘ran away’ to the United States to avoid signing candidate replacement documents. Can you tell us what really happened during that period?

Oshiomhole: We have procedures for replacement of candidates provided for in the Electoral Act, which allows a candidate, if he withdraws, to be substituted by the party. And few people have on their own, for various reasons, written to us that they were withdrawing. I don’t need to run away from pressure. I think that the minimum requirement for leadership, or the quality of leadership has to be judged substantially by the extent to which one can resist pressure or act under negative circumstances. I believe that, in accepting this privilege to be chairman of the APC, being the party in government, there will be pressure. What is important is that no one should be able to pressurise one to do what is clearly wrong. Whether wrong with regards to our constitution or in relation to the provision of the Electoral Act or in good conscience.

So, I don’t need to run away to avoid doing what is wrong. I had to visit a family member who was sick. A purely domestic issue. I attended to it, and I came back. It’s just that we live in a country where people like to make allegations even when they don’t make any sense at all. Things that sound quite pedestrian, you find people who are otherwise reasonable seemingly giving them hearing. I think it was just the invention of the media, and those who have exhausted all the power points and choose to resort to blackmail. But It doesn’t change the truth.

DT: Apart from the whole US trip debacle, there was the other controversy, about your encounter with the DSS. What really happened?

Oshiomhole: I’m the chairman of the governing party, and issues that have to do with the security agencies, particularly the security service, which the DSS represents, I have a duty as the chairman of the governing party not to add to the challenges that such an institution confronts in moments like this. But the only point I want to make, is that the chairmanship of a party is not at the pleasure of the security services, or the DSS. It is inconceivable that the DG of the DSS will for example invite the chairman of a political party, even one of the fringe parties who cannot yet boast of a counsellor, not to talk of a main opposition party like the PDP.

It’s inconceivable that the director of the DSS will feel competent to invite the chairman of a political party to resign. And the fact that I am the chairman of a governing party, perhaps makes it all the more so. I believe that various agencies have their mandates and that they are clearly stated in the statutes that established them and they are expected to be guided by that. So all this talk about DSS asking me to resign, I am not accountable to DSS but to my party.

I read a lot of silly statements. People made allegations, and some went on social media, while some print media recklessly printed them. But somehow I found it strange that people talked about money allegedly changing hands. They have never listed one person that said I gave X to Mr. Y. Nothing can be more reckless than that. Sometimes they are attributed to an alleged DSS report. But that’s not shocking, given the level of mischief that I have seen and the fact that at inception PDP was very worried about the prospect of my becoming the national chairman, and the damage that I am capable of inflicting on them.

Even my worst critic would agree that there is no village I will not go to in Nigeria that people wouldn’t recognise me and smile from their hearts. Not everybody that has been publicly exposed as long as I have been commands that level of love and affection. Because politics is about influence, and the electorate will vote, one way or the other that vote can be influenced by people they trust.

The only thing that I probably found strange is to find a situation in which you have some voices, however discredited they are, singing the same tune with the opposition. Now that tells you there must be something I am doing right. Because nobody insists on rules or transparency without being fought. Just like people are fighting the president today. Some say what right has he to talk about anti-corruption. Some would even tell you “na anti-corruption we wan chop?” So, are you going to, because of those misguided or uninformed comments, abandon what you rightly believe, or stand firm on what you believe?

I’m satisfied that we have made positive changes in the way in which internal democracy is managed in our party. We have for the first time conducted direct primaries for our presidential candidates, for which about 14.6 million APC members voted for him, and we can rightly say therefore that he already has 14.6 million voters, because those who voted for him are likely to be able to persuade their spouses to also vote for them and probably one or two of their friends and children. So we have a possibility of multiplying that number by three or four. Now, people could decide to downplay the import of that. For me, those are the proud innovations we have brought about which some elements in our party didn’t quite agree with.
