You can use your 2007 WAEC certificate for your undergraduate programme, all you need is to state what you were doing for the past 6 years such as working or studies.

As for converting your visitors visa please visit this embassy link for information: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=483&t=15

Oluwarote: Hello Chirgo, am new in this forum but i have read the whole of part 5 of this thread. Please i need your wisdom, guidance and advice about my Study Visa in Canada.
I had been offered an admission at Centinnial College for May 2014 intake, i did d admission process by myself and later contacted BCIE for visa application assistance, they has offered to assist with visa application at no cost, but they insist that i must pay my full tuition before we can start the application after i have pay initial deposit of $1,115 as requested by the college.
I have about 1.5m in my personal account which could only cover first semester tuition, and my sponsor insisted that until may be i am granted visa or d embassy instructed me to pay d remaining tuition that he can pay.
Please i hope is never too late to start d application now?
Since i have come accross this trend, i have decided to abandon BCIE and do it myself
Thanking you for your responses and advice...
One Love!
You were trying to create unnecessary headaches for yourself. You really don't need any special agent to help you apply for visa. Thank God you came accross this forum.
Now start putting your application arsenal together. Considering your admission is for May 2014, you are in a very comfortable position to stire your ship. You got till end of January to sort your documents right. Thanks to the new online route.

Oboi, if na the time of paper application, I for done chase you go apply now now cos that normally took 4 to 8 months for trv to be ready.

Good luck

onos9ice: Okay..... But I'm waiting for a custodian form from my uncle. My admission letter says I should resume by 6 of Jan. But since I havent applied that means I'll have to defer the admission. But does the embassy need the deferment letter.........
There are 2 ways to go about it. You can apply with your current admission letter and wait for the embassy to instruct; you get a new start date if your trv won't be ready on time for classes.
Or
You can request the deferment letter from the school then use the new admission letter for your visa application.

KayEnn: Hello Chirgo, do you know if it's possible for one to apply from abroad? I did my undergrad here in Turkey and would want to move to Canny for MSc. thanks.
You can apply for TRV from any country where you currently reside. So yes you can apply from Turkey and move straight to canada for your Msc.

My friend applied from the UK and moved straight to Canada for his Msc.

Good luck

SantohFilz: Can I apply online and still apply by paper?.... I need to be in Upei with my bro by January.
Having two concurrent application invalidates the whole visa process. Considering the success rate of online application; it will be extremely ridiculous to use paper application process.

The fasted TRV we have recorded on Nland took a month which is extremely rare. Now factoring the holidays in December and Early January, if you submit your application end of November, it is must likely you would get your TRV by mid January or requested to get a new start date.

ChriGo: .....did mine at CP ....mine took 13days bro...
Thank you my brother, CP dey try too. Aww we done too yab them for NLand.

I did mine at CP and to be sincere I prefer their environment 100% compared to Asuja. I believe the crowd they attend to daily is what delays the result at times. American Embassy use CP and you need see crowd from America embassy, its like 6 usa applicant to 1 canadian applicant. huh

Jinnery: Hello House,

I am landed at last, all Glory to God and thanks house for all.

I also had the opportunity to clear my doubts about Point of Entry. U can actually land anywhr in CA. When u av ur TRV. I landed in Montreal and continued to toronto. Permit issued in Montreal for studies in Regina. The Quebec pass doesn't hold for a study visa. I have confirmed that. Hope that information helps some people. Cos u might jst get a cheaper airfare to some other airports in CA.

Just something to share with d house smiley
Thank God for safe trip. And thanks for the helpful info.
So ChriGo u see say I fit pass backdoor enter CA grin

jimie: Good evening all. I am about starting the process of travelling to Canada for a PGD program. Lambton College is what i intend working on. How credible is their certificate if i may ask? I am naive with the whole process and i am kinda confused cos i am considering Finland instead of Canada.I have googled up but i am still not satisfied.

Kind regards
Kia you wan enter ChriGo trouble? You are not satisfied with Lambton ni!

Well are you comparing finland to canadian schools based on tuition or credibility? Finland is cheaper than Canada as for tuition but are you ready to learn finch in order to blend into the work force after graduation.
I will confidently tell you that most of us here in Nland are more interested in the prospects after schooling and thats why we choose Canada.

As for lazy me, I ain't ready to learn limited language like finch in this my age when I can easily blend with english in Canada. If it was french I for consider small as it can be an asset in many countries but finch. Al NO.

ceo mr ca$h:
congrats for all those coming to canny during winter......but one thing to bear in mind is dat canny is not all dat a bed of roses ooo. any sincere person in canny will tell dat u hv to work vry hard to survive and pay ur bills unless u hv a big sponser in canada who is working n been paid well. be ready to trowaway ur lagos big boy mentality b4 coming ova cos tosurvive u must do menial jobs to begin wit. wish u all a good stay in canny. dats ma $5.....
Nice information but the fact remains that you see the fruit of your labour. The dividend from the so called "menial jobs" is worth more than some "suit under hot sun" jobs back home.
