Hello e-family, Please I need the advise of the GURU's in the house. I did paper application for SOWP on the 15th of Feb'19. I got a medical request on the 13th of May. Successfully sent the medical e-copy back to them that same day since I did up-front medical. Got Biometric validation mail on the 23rd of May. I was able to link my application online and saw that Medical was past on the 15th of May. I have not heard from them since then and my status still reads we are processing your application.
My worry now is..how long will it take to hear from them since they have my passport.
We had already planned a trip this summer to the UK for a family event on the 24th of July and we have valid visa.
Today makes the application 17weeks.
Would it be advisable to write or just wait and believe that we will get our passport back before that date.
Thanks for your usual response.
Having gotten a medical request and updated passed plus biometric correspondence letter shows that your visa approval is almost near and certain. However, since you said you already have a UK Visitors visa for the proposed event which I believe the visa is already stamped on the passport you submitted to CIC.
I will suggest you write them an email and explain the importance of the upcoming event to you and that all arrangement have been made to travel for the event, write it in a polite manner. If you have the photocopy of the UK visa and if you already booked your flight to UK attach those documents to the email, it could prompt them to process your visa faster because I believe it's 90% ready.

Please gurus in the House
Is it OK to use the soft copy of statement of account that is not signed and stamped.
This is because my bank sent to me the bank statement to my mail. They said it only be signed if it hard copy.
I also discovered the the soft copy is clearer that the scanned hard copy.
Please go to the branch of your bank and ask them to print out a copy for you, stamp and sign it. That way you will be on a safe side and avoid any doubt from the VO.

So I have my Visa already. Na just that tuition deposit I want pay. Do I have to pay all before leaving? They only asked for tuition deposit and they said I can pay the tuition before leaving if I want.
The school has given you an option to either pay the tuition deposit before leaving niaja or hold on to pay the full/1st semester tuition after arriving Canada so the choice is yours to make. And then make your travel arrangements, have you booked your flight?

Hello good afternoon house.

Is there anyone here in University of Regina, Saskatchewan?

I need information on what to do next after getting visa,

It's different methods in different schools I guess.
The next thing to do after getting visa is to pay your tuition (if you haven't done so) and register for your courses online through the UR student service portal, then book a flight and prepare for your journey. Have you gotten your Visa?

Please I want to ask . Which of the email did you sent your school cert and other documents including waec scratch cards and passport that you sumited to the school for admission process. ? I sumited mine to International.admissions@uregina.ca and reason why am asking is because I was assited by agent on my first admission so this new admission am doing it by myself no more agent.

Anyway I have mail them for the complain and I have try call the school but not available till 8:15am or 8:30am Canadian time . So I will try call them again
You can also go to the school website and get the email addresses of the faculty of business, office of international students, dean of faculty, and the department of business administration, send separate email to them all about your case and remember to state your student application ID number on the email.

Hello everyone, I'm happy with the informations and contributions I've seen on this forum as it has been really helpful. I intend to apply for my Visa and please I need clarification on funds. On the CIC website, it was stated that for the funding requirement is 1st year fees+10000CAD(for living expenses) and for my school the first year fees amount s to about 3.8Mif I include the living expenses it should amount to about 6.8M which I have as I'm going to be self sponsored, but is this really sufficient for my application in convincing the VO? do I stand a chance or must I have a sponsor with a larger amount? Please gurus in the house I'd appreciate your assistance.

cc Qudkom, Bracha, frankobbin1, OptimusPrime21, kcosam, mcobex
If your intended program is more than 1yr then I will suggest you get another person to stand in as a co sponsor and commit to shoulder some aspect of your studies such as either tuition or living expense while your personal fund shoulder the other one. If you go with this fund only as a self sponsor, the VO will have doubt as to how you intend to fund your second year of study without working or having recourse to public fund in Canada. Except if you can proof to have an established business with reliable streams of income adequate enough to fund your second year without liquidating or impairing on the smooth operation of the business.

Anyone here that is familiar with university of Regina applications status . I re-applied for admission for 2020winter since I can't make the last intake of this year. So after I have made payment for the new application fee and sumited all require documents for admission. I still check my applications menu like more than 3times it was exactly what I applied for 2020winter but suddenly it change to my old admission status 2019winter summary

Any idea
Usually uregina have each application on a separate link once you log on to the portal. There is always a link to take you to the page of each application you submitted. Check on the main menu and you will see 2019 and a different link for 2020.
However, Uregina faculty of graduate studies and research admission offer usually have 1 yr validity, so if your previous admission was for September 2019, then that offer is still valid till September 2020. I don't know much about their undergraduate program. Which program and course did you applied for?

Someone told me to focus on going to another good country instead of canada due to reason that their visa process is too stressful and tedious hence they do verification than any other country but i never believed the guy but seeing that this part 16 has got to page 7 and no one has shared visa approval testimony so far, unlike the new US student visa thread where 4 testimonies have been shared already in just 19 pages. i'm now beginning to see reason with what that guy told me.
If you got a big pocket of money and you are not bothered about staying back after graduation, then you can go ahead with the US schools.

. I’d appreciate if you can as well help to construct a convincing sop. Thank you for your time
You need to research for samples of SOP/LOE online and develop something on your own, afterwards you can ask someone to peruse it for you and make corrections/recommendations, no one will develop an SOP for you, you wear shoes and of course knows where it pinches.

If you said you have been working for a year now that means you started work in 2018 right? And you said you graduated since 2013, did you make effort to explain in your sop what you have been doing from the time you graduated to the time you were employed? That is about 4+yrs gap. There should be some activities between this gap, either academic or work.

Am about to order for gcms note .. Why am changing the school is because of the years program and also I have defer it to the last intake which is September so I don't want to rush and apply again ... I wanted 2years program which I can easily solve out than the 4years ..
But it will be the same course .

For my study leave letter it was indicated for 4yrs leave do to my program so do you think I should get another one again because the previous leave letter is still valid since I have taken leave already ..
If you are going to change school due to the duration of the program, then I think you will need another study leave approval letter which will state 2 years leave approval instead of 4 years, because the VO will doubt if you would actually come back home after your 2 year program since your study leave letter is for 4 years. This could raise another redflag for purpose of visit.

I just got a bad news from my agent (second time now)
Refusal Grounds :   Help!! I need advice for better way to address the issue  cry cry cry

* I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay. Base on your personal asset and financial status.

* base on your current employment situation.

* I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resource, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fee for the course or program of studies that you intend to purse.

* I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available resources, without working in Canada to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.

* To pay the cost of transporting yourself and any member who are accompanying to and Canada..

Are beg I don't want to use the agent again and also I want to change school from university of Regina (4years) to any cheap college for 2years program ..

I applied with undergraduate (ssc) . Age am 29yrs . I use the agent because I don't have a strong sponsorship as liquid cash .. my unclen is into wholesale business which we know of buying and selling so there is a good flow but you know everybusines man don't keep huge amount for account instead he use it to buy goods.. also my uncle business is not registered yet ...

As for me I have up to 3m in my personal account ..

NOW ITS MY TIME TO SEEK FOR HELP FROM THE GURUS PLEASE

For my 1st and 2nd applications, I submitted my employment letter and study leave letter . But I didn't include it that I run other small scale business which I run just like my uncle but not whoesales ...
Am really sorry to hear about your visa refusal for the second time.
First of all, you may need to order for your GCMS note to more details concerning the refusal.
1. You really need to work on your sponsorship funds, let your uncle build the funds in his account to a reasonable amount and print out the statement for you before making purchases with the funds if he is willing to make such sacrifice. Or you may want to source for additional person as co-sponsor and combine the two SOAs.
2. The funds in those SOAs should be enough to cover for atleast your first year tuition and living expense, also leave behind good amount of funds for the sponsor(s) to take care of there family/business.
3. Make serious efforts to show your relationships with your sponsors and a good reason why such sponsors would want to invest such amount of money in your academic pursuit.
4. I think colleges are more expensive than universities in Canada but am not sure so do your research. If you intend changing school now which I don't advice, then try to apply to schools that offer the same/similar course you used in your previous visa applications.
5. Get a new study leave approval letter which will state specifically that your position in the organization is secured upon your return, add your payslip, salary account statement, employment letter, work ID card, promotion letter if any, these materials should take care of your employment status/situation.
6. Add any document that shows your ownership of any asset such as land, shares, car, machinery, building, etc.
7. Write a well structured and convincing LOE to marry all these areas together and pray for God's grace upon your application.

After the liquidating , dude put me through a lot and now it's a Passport request .

Hello everyone,

Please for a banker applying for Canadian study permit, who is unable to get study leave from his/her bank, what other document can be used in place of that?
There is no document you can use to replace "study leave approval letter" but there are other documents you can use to support your claim of employment such as appointment letter, promotion letter, confirmation letter, payslip, salary account statement, and Staff ID card. These documents can equally support your application, we understand how difficult it is for some applicants to get study leave approval letter, probably because they want to keep their travel plan a secret from the office. Just get those documents and you will be fine with regards to proofing employment status.

I have a cousin in Canada thou but I don't really think he can do much for me, I just want to do it myself pls ,graduated since 2011
Why do you want to go for another master's in mathematics? Your B.Eng is agriculture, PGD civil, masters civil, So, why switch now? Are you currently working? What's your career line, Agriculture, civil, or mathematics? These questions should guide your choice of program and course because the VO may raise a redflag for purpose of visit due to lack of academic/career progression.

I think your best bet would be to go for a PhD in civil engineering. If you have a good grade in your PgD and Masters degrees and apply early for September 2020 intake, you could get a scholarship as well. Good luck
