ugonna0071:I have my facts and my source don't falter (believe me) ![]() |
@ coco29 Thank you! I really appreciate. |
Coco29:We were not meant to chit chat but to make me see things from a circumspective view. How will I understand your new opinion about the bible if I don't know the cause? There must be a reason and it is the reason I want to know. You can bite me if you wish, as long as it is for the gospel, I will bear it. Who am I? All that I am is what God gave me so what will it cost me to receive a bite from you? |
Coco29:@ COCO29, Why do you ask, is it a crime to have a daughter? I love my daughter and my daughter loves me. p.s, U didn't read my mail properly yesterday or where you just trying to play me? |
Without being rude and without trying to sound supercilious, I must say that your knowledge of space is a bit shallow. My job involves space and as such you can imagine my knowledge of the subject especially when you begin to realise I was taught by some of the world's best in the field. Firstly, I must establish a fact that mans knowledge of space is still in it's early years as we have a long way to go. Take for instance the issue of the tenth planet in the so called outer solar system. We used to think there were only nine. (http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2005/29jul_planetx.htm) For the benefit of our simple readers, heliocentric means :1. measured or considered as being seen from the center of the sun. 2. having or representing the sun as a center: the heliocentric concept of the universe. So to prove that you are not even arguing with your so called facts, I will quote a NASA scientist by name Ron Winther"The sun rotates on its axis; a point on its equator makes one rotation in about 25 Earth days, while near the poles it requires about 31 Earth days. So a point on the sun's equator travels at about 4500 miles/hr. (by contrast, a point on the Earth's equator travels at about 1000 miles/hr). Additionally, the sun (and the solar system) is revolving about the center of the Milky Way at about 150 miles per *second* (that's over a half-million miles/hr!)" http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/ast99/ast99027.htm Conclusion: Contrary to your heliocentric "facts", the sun is not stationary. Everyone with little knowledge of space science knows that the sun is not stationary. Moreover all objects in space including all stars and galaxies are accelerating towards a point in space which is why scientists are beginning to ask if space has an end because if it has a centre it means it must have an end. If so what lies beyond this end? I don't want to say more 'because of obvious reasons. ![]() |
@ babybee Hey!!!! My baby. It is me daddy. Why is your messenger not on? You dey hide from daddy abi? |
ugonna0071:There are angels and there are demons. If KAG don't believe in demons then I am not in same school of thought ;however, there are nothing like ghosts 'Cos it is written ", it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment." Hebrews 9: 27 My apolpgies to you ugonna0071 (AKA fine babe) |
@ enigma Welcome my brother. Feel free to express urself jare. ![]() |
@ KAG, I can see you are doing your thing here but it is good to know that we are on same side this time (may be ). There are nothing like GHOSTS!!! 'Cos it is written ", it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment." Hebrews 9: 27@ ugonna0071 Please send one to me as well and I will assist in sending it to hell where it rightly belongs. What you call ghosts are actually demons in disguise. |
The point is that the writers described things RELATIVE TO THEM. |
candylips:Theorethically we are not GOD but gods and practically we are gods too. Please, don't mix it up ![]() |
@ kodewrita , Where art thou? Absconded? ![]() |
@ deb,I like your sense of humour, infact you cracked me up but to be sincere, the question is not dumb and contrary to what you think or believe, angels are below us which is why angels are subject to me. |
ANDSTEL:@ ANDSTEL, Hey, tanxx for dropping in. It is nice knowing that there is someone here who knows the scriptures as he ought to. I have pointed these same scriptures to them in a sister topic. ![]() |
Have you heard the word perspective before? Forget belief, take those scriptures to English experts who are atheist and ask them to please explain those writings to you as per literature. If you need help with locating some, I will gladly forward addresses of some guys in OXFORD and CAMBRIDGE. From your writings, I want to believe you are not just educated but educated to high level, please let these reflect in your expressions.Tanxx ![]() |
yombaloggz:Something in that vicinity but not really. A superhuman seems logical but a pastor being not a normal human is beyond logic (That is the difference). ![]() Ynot:@ Ynot, |
A god has many definitions, I will explain the context with which it was used in the bible much later as I have to run out now. Catch you later. |
@ yombaloggz , Believe it or not; as a Pastor,I am also a very serious critic of religion. |
@ WALELEADS, I can see you are going theological but for the benefit of the public readers I wouldn't want you to dig into what "diseases of the Egyptians" that you rightly quoted stands for; reason for this is that some of them may not be spiritually mature enough to distinguish between meats so let us stick to the milk we are trying to distinguish just in accordance with 1 cor 3:2 But I will be grateful if we could discuss privately so that we can rub minds on "meatly" matters rather than basic principles of christianity in accordance with HEB 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. However,I want you to analyse your quotes yourself. 1. Were the children of Isreal in the land of Egypt when God gave this decree in exodus? And what was the condition for this immunity from illness? What do you understand by the diseases of the Egyptians? 2. Was Moses or Joshua recorded to be ill when they took up leadership? 3. How many of the leaders in the bible fell ill and why did they fall ill? How many leaders are recorded in the bible? 4. About Jer 8:22, Who are those Jeremiah was referring to? Can you name a prophet that needed healing and if so, why was he ill in the 1st place? I have more questions to aid you in your analysis but they are not for public view as they are "meatly" issues like I stated above. One really has to be careful when trying to understand scriptures with one's own wisdom, rather allow the Holyspirit to lead one. I strongly advise that one begin using bible commentaries such as STRONG'S BIBLE COMMENTARIES. But most importantly, always ask God to give one deep understanding. |
stillkay:STILLKAY, no mind dem. I see nothing redundant in this question;infact, I see it as a very fundamental question for those of us that are christians 'cos it classses the type of faith we have in God. |
maxell:@ MAXELL I repeat, I am a pastor and as such I am a god but I am not God. (please note the difference). Tanxx |
KAG:Could you please show me where it is written in the bible that "Our planetary system is geocentric" . Then I will begin to accept some of your facts. |
@ Dennylove, I understand what you are saying but God's sovereignty is not the issue at the moment. It takes another level of understanding to fuse these basic truths: 1 you can not be sick 2. God can allow you to be sick according to how HE wills. We are simply discussing the 1st truth at the moment. |
walelead:Does it matter what denomination I belong to?The basic truth remains that a REAL child of God is not suppose to fall sick and that is an exclusive right to true children of the Ancient of Days. Babybee:We are not human beings like you and "them" or else why do you think no harm can come to us (John 10:19) ? MARK16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. /color] We have transcended into the realms of the supernatural and as such we are a peculiar people. Deut 14:2, Titus 2:14 (Do you even notice the uniqueness of this 2 verses?). Neways, if you don't know, now you know. ![]() |
@ KAG, when you say "Holy Book" ,what book exactly are you referring to?Please be specific. |
dennylove:Ur pastor knows why he is in his state(Paul knew why he had the thorn of flesh JUST THE WAY Job knew why he was in calamity).Pastors don't fall ill. |
KAG:@kAG What you said is a fact but it is not the truth. The truth is that: not all truths fit the logical mind's eye which seeks logic and substantity of that truth. Most truths are abstract in certain qualities. |
@KAG, All facts are not truths but all truths are facts. (Think about it) |
@ Hugoboi and nico, That statement is a FACT but is that statement the TRUTH ![]() |
@ Bobbyaf , It is good knowing that there is someone with a sound biblical background here. Nice to have you here bro!!! @leketoye , It is a fact that you had your experience but the truth is that there is nothing like a ghost (just the wayBobbyaf expositorily pointed out above) .The bible clearly states " it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment." Hebrews 9: 27 |
@ BlackMamba I like the way you said it jare. U really cracked me up. We need more humour in this place. LOL. |
