SARSCoV2: Learning from other countries who have broken similar challenges being presently faced by Nigeria.
What does Nigeria have to learn from Egypt that is far ahead of us in all ramifications. We do not share similar ideology, culture and system of government.
We could as well learn from America, Germany or the United kingdom if we desperate to start from the top, which will still be of no use.
Rwanda and Ghana are fastest growing economies who happen to just be coming out of the shackles and challenges being presently faced by Nigeria, and such destination would have been worthwhile as their are still evident developmental tracts which are visible and presently working for them.
If you must import ideas, you have to import from where best fits your scenario. Not importing ideas from Alaska to West Africa.
Urheadmaster: Would have thought that learning from other countries is a goal to strategize and turning round the failing performance of the current government of Nigeria
That breastsucking Sowore from the descendants people of oduduwa federal republic of miners need to be educated by the educated one .
LocalStandard1: First of all, I am not Igbo, I am a Nigerian that wants what is best for Nigeria. And since Osibanjo is out of the race the next best Candidate of any sane person should be the next best contender. Which I believe is PETER Obi.
Now, anybody that is following this presidential race bumper to bumper will agree with me that while every other candidate from the big parties are trying so hard to be noticed, to be heard and seen, the only person that has Nigerians both for and against him doing his campaign is Peter Obi.
I mean he hasn't answered any of his critiques but they just can't stop trolling and there by making him even more popular and relevant. Rino Omokri, Aisha Yesufu, Sowore, Bashir Ahmed, El'rufai's unruly kids, I mean plenty of them, even on here, without him paying a dime.
They talk about him even more than they talk about there preferred Candidates. Everybody wants to advise Peter Obi. They said he was foolish to decamp but if only even Osibanjo decamped it would have turned out to be the best decision as we can see.
They said he should merge with Kwankwaso. Eesh! If he won't be the presidential candidate I say he should not do that sh*t. He is far more popular than Kwankwaso at the moment, far. I mean who talks about him until when talking about a merger?
Peter Obi might not win the coming election but it is better to stand and stand with a few to try to make a difference than standing with a crowd of wolves.
Better to run the race even when there's less chance of winning than sit back and allow old thieves take the medal just for being from some certain tribe or religion, and for being rich from the wealth of the people.
I wish the Middle Belt will give this guy a chance irrespective of his tribe. Thank you.
APC in the north especially buhari was ready to lose the election for the north to remain in power that's why they gave tinubu. Forget the deceit! Buhari as head of state in 1983 voted for Republic of Niger in a U.N. seat contest against Nigeria. Simply because the Niger man was a Fulani while the Nigeria candidate was an Igbo. They are only playing political game with tinubu and the south. They knew if they didn't give tinubu, he has sufficient resources to scatter the party with his huge cult-like follwership from ACN. They wanna teach us northern politics 101.
Meditoll: As we all now know tinubu is currently tucked between hell or high waters, as he faces the painstaking decision of choosing a running mate as VP.
The VP candidate Quagmire
As a muslim from the south, it is imperative that a presidential candidate balances the ticket by choosing a VP candidate who is a christian from the north. Now here is the quagmire, most of his northern associates and those he owes political debts for giving him the APC ticket are muslims. Northern christian even though significant in population are largely seen as 'politically impotent'. Therefore picking a northern christian will alienate the large number of northern muslims from voting the ticket since none of their own is the APC ballot.
On the other hand, if he picks a northern muslim, we will have 2 muslims on the APC ticket trying to take over the presidency after the perilous 8 year rulership of Gen. Mohammed Buhari (Rtd.) another muslim. A muslim-muslim ticket in a religous sensitive country like Nigeria also has its own demerits and would turn off most Christians in Tinubu's own region of the SW which hosts the headquaters of some of the most influential churches in Nigeria and Africa. Already, the other largely Christian-dominated regions of the south (SE and SS) are firmly in the control of the opposition parties. These regions are also witnessing a huge voter registration excercise after the APC primaries and it is definitely not in the best interest of APC candidate.
The muslim-muslim ticket will also alienate most Northern Christians from voting the APC, as many Christians in the north are seen as very faithful even to the point of martrydom, in a region with great muslim population. A refence point is the recent martyr of Deborah, a northern christian student who was accused of blasphemy, and murdered for vehemently defending her Christian faith in a college of education in Sokoto-the seat of the muslim caliphate. Mr Tinubu never condemned the killing.
Tinubu's decision and strategy Nigeria's politics is not difficult to predict if one follows the trend and study the political history of the country keenly. Mr tinubu has no choice really, he is indebted to his northern political associates who are muslims and will have to pay them back for their support in clinching the presidential ticket.
Most of his lieutenants also point to a past predecent in 1993 where Moshood Abiola (MKO) a southern muslim, philantropist and presidential hopeful was adjudged to have won at the presidential polls with muslim deputy on the ticket. MKO never became president anyway. But they also conveniently forget that 30 years ago, Nigeria was not as ethnically and religiously sensitive and divisive as it is today.
Be that as it may, Tinubu will damn the consequences, pay his political debts to the northern muslim bloc of APC by picking of them, and then go on a media overdrive in a desperate attempt to de-sensitize and brainwash Nigerians with his media outlets that 'religion does not matter'. He will visit the Pope, Archbishop of canterbury, Nigerian christian leaders and go further to pay gluttonous pastors and phoney prophets to speak for him on their pulpits in order to promote muslim-muslim ticket. The paid charlatans will grant interviews on radios, TV, newspapers defending the muslim-muslim ticket.
Therefore, Nigerians should get ready as the campaign and propaganda hit their subconciousness frequently, till they lose their guard. Brace up..

Your hatred won't stop tinubu from becoming president whether you like it or not!
Samunique: I watched with bemusement while El Rufai was promoting Muslim Muslim ticket tactically on channels tv on the basis of capability rather than religion.
While this may sound intelligently but rather manipulative, considering the nature of the personality that is talking. We all know El Rufai is a serpent!!!
My question is, what has Muslim Muslim ticket achieved so far in Kaduna, security wise, socially, economically etc ?
If El Rufai talks about capability, he should be able to tell us what his Muslim Muslim ticket capability has benefited the Kaduna people so far, most especially security wise, so that we can take him serious .
We are talking about national politics not state, would El Rufai has said same thing, if it's Christian Christian ticket that's being projected?
Would he be talking about capability over religousity ?
Nairalanders over to you !
Lalasticlala mynd44 seun
Would the bastard say this if it were the other way round. I come in peace!
Ekpeitit: In 2008 Putin installed his protege as the president of Russia with the arrangement that he only holds the office for him until 2012 because the Russian constitution back then limited the president to only 2 consecutive terms. In 2012 Medvedev handed over to Putin and Putin appointed him Prime Minister. Medvedev has been Putin's Prime Minister and right hand man till today. Now let's return the story to Nigeria. In 2015 Tinubu installed his protege Osibanjo as Vice President with the arrangement that he supports him (Tinubu) to become president in 2023 because he couldn't be a running mate to Buhari due to the resistance to a Muslim/Muslim ticket. Fast forward everything to 2022,the same Osibanjo refused to step down for his benefactor and wanted to become president instead but was comprehensively beaten in the presidential primaries by his master.Loyalty is very important in politics and politicians who are not loyal usually don't last long in politics because nobody trusts a traitor or Judas. What are your thoughts?
Kuruptnigga: Hopeless fool. You will continue to be slave to hausa-fooolani till you die What do you even have inside that your foolish head. Bags of shitts or gutter useless pig
Assetinvestor: Olodo, you should be sorry for yourself. People like you always end miserably. If you can't stand each other then why still share a common country? You must be dense in the head.
Fool! Sorry for your brothers and sisters who are hooked on meth
Assetinvestor: Registration for voters is a basic human rights enshrined in the Nigerian constitution. It is the duty of INEC by law to ensure that every Nigerian that comes to their office to register is attended and never discriminated against.
What happened in Ojo, Lagos State is a show of shame and there should be consequences if truly Nigeria wants to be a civilized country and not a primitive dungeon where barbaric acts is allowed to take place. Lagos claims to be a center of excellence and truly ought to be considering it was the former capital and has remained the flagship city. Such news coming out of there should disgust any well meaning Nigerian.
Igbo leaders in Lagos including market union members from Alaba should organize themselves with lawyers and engage INEC both at the Lagos zonal and national level. Afterwards, they should also take up paid newspaper adverts to broadcast this show of shame on national dailies and also grant interview to channels, AIT and other media houses. THEY MUST GIVE THIS SHOW OF SHAME AND NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT MASSIVE PUBLICITY IT DESERVES.
If we truly want to have one nation as politicians, including the desperate fossil who says that ruling Nigeria is his life ambition always parrot, then institutions must be allowed to work and people allowed to exercise their franchise as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution. If that's not possible, then we all should go our separate ways.
I expect the madness that took place in Ojo, Lagos to be trending already so that everyone can understand the type of devil that is trying to foist himself on all Nigerians.
INEC should be put on the spotlight so they could do an inquiry to unravel and punish those behind this madness.
What happened in Ojo-Alaba, Lagos is an attack on the integrity of Nigeria and must not be swept under the carpet!
You be fufu, you never wake up. This is Nigeria Mr man!
Toks2008: What if Proffesor Yemi Osinbajo comes out as independent candidate?
History has shown that indirect primaries in Nigeria have never produced candidates who truly have the interest of Nigerians at heart and we can no longer put the future of our children in the hands of these old inept recycled politicians.
I still believe in Proffesor Osinbajo and there is a provision for independent candidacy in our constitution.
I am convinced that this will be a viable path at this juncture, an option worth exploring.
APC will rig him out massively! Your vote no count o, no deceive your self
