in Yaba has remanded five students of Dowen College in Lekki, Lagos, who were arrested by the Police in connection to the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni, in a juvenile home.

Oromoni Jnr. died of complications, last week, as a result of injuries sustained after he was tortured by senior colleagues in the school for refusing to join a cult group.

A report by Vanguard said that the students were remanded, following an order obtained from the Yaba Magistrates court by the police.

It quoted the spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, as confirming the development but stating that investigation into the matter is still ongoing.

“They have not been arraigned yet. They were only remanded in a juvenile home pending the conclusion of investigation into the matter,” Ajisebutu was quoted as saying.

You're reaching.....This is 9ja and majority of owners of private schools are off to other ventures and most times not even in the country, I know at least 3 owners/co-owners like that, the point still remains for you to call for the arrest of the owner you must have some groundbreaking evidence, for now complicit cannot be tied to the owner as you're just speculating. You might have better luck tying that charge to the principal and even that is a long reach because damage control is not a crime by itself.

Not in a criminal case as this one. Besides it is called obstruction of Justice. Attempt to cover up a crime is a crime sir.

Have fully observed Nigeria as a whole, it's pertinent to state that we are not ready to grow as a country. Instead of unity, majority chose hate. Instead of way forward , many chose ethnic sentiments and religious loyalty.

Today , 2023 is the new game. Instead of standing on the truth and uniting the Nation with an Igbo presidency, many choose to gang up against one of the most dynamic ethnic group in Africa with different stupid excuses.
