Herdsmen beg as Ghana Police boss gives personnel ‘shoot, kill on sight’ order

While herdsmen have been killing and maiming lives in Nigeria, particularly in Benue, Taraba and other parts of the country, with the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, reported to have earlier justified their acts, and the Benue Governor, Samuel Ortom, accusing the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Mr. Ibrahim Idris of not securing the state, the story is however different in Ghana.

To this end, a video has emerged of a Ghanaian Police boss ordering his men of over two hundred personnel to shoot and kill on sight, any herdsman who tries to kill them just as he and his men embarked on a full-scale enforcement of a court directive ordering all herdsmen to evacuate from a community called Agogo in the state.

While the police boss and his men are seen charged and killing every cattle on sight, the herdsmen in the state are pleading with the government to give them a mercy of just two days so that they can evacuate their remaining cattle. Agogo has been in the news in recent times as a result of the frequent herdsmen/farmers clash resulting in killings and raping of many defenseless people.

How Nigerians reason is appaling for a nation that wants to groow. Nigeria as we know today has degenerated to a state where once people don't get what they want, they wouldn't mind bringing the whole nation down.

Talking about this saraki issue, there's nothing wrong in inviting the senate president for questioning. We had seen pictures that clearly shows that some of the key players in the robbery has close ties to saraki. Even if there might be some sort of political interest for some people, I dnt think the police shouldn't their job. My questions what's ur business if saraki is invited for questioning or not, will itput food on your table. Let's learn to be neutral in such cases cos u cannot vouch for anyone. So let the investigation go on. No one is bigger than the country not even the president.

My respect for saraki diminishes anytime he releases press statements like he does when ever he is invited. He is doing the same thing he is accusing the FG of doing playing polit!ics, we should remember that this issue caused the death of 30 people. So in this matter, let's learn to be neutral abeg

A man has revealed what happened to him and his colleague after they were stranded while on an assignment in Abuja. According to George Haaga, he and his colleague were stranded following a heavy rainfall before a Fulani herdsman came to their aid and gave them shelter as he made them comfortable in his hut.

George took to Facebook to hail the Fulani man. He wrote;

Yesterday heavy rain caught my colleague and I on assignment in a community in Abuja. This fulani man gave us shelter and ensured that we were comfortable in his little hut. This herdsman served us with milk from the udder of his cows. We spoke extensively with the fulaniman about the herdsmen /farmers crisis while the rain continued to fall and our welcome lasted, he felt bitter about it.

This good fulani man said they are not the ones carrying out the attacks and how he would love to sleep at night with his two eyes closed but he can't for fear of being attacked. The fulani man prays for a better and peaceful Nigeria. Let us pray.

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor disclosed this on Monday at the Government House in Makurdi while swearing in his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Jerome Torshimbe.

Explaining the reasons behind his action, the governor said he has been sent out of APC and is currently exploring a new option to actualise his future ambition.

The governor has not, however, announced the party he will be joining, saying only that he is consulting with relevant stakeholders and will soon announce his next move.

If this is true,I salute the courage of this only governor that stands out.

If delay was the cause of her death, why is it that only the hospital was blamed for that? How long did it take after the shooting for those with her to get over the confusion and even think of taking her to the hospital? Or is the hospital right beside the scene of the shooting?

The hospital's video evidence clearly showed that the lady was promptly attended to. But unfortunately we always find someone to blame for anything that happens. If the family wants someone to blame at all cost, I think they should question why their daughter was out at around 3am and why they didn't stop when instructed to by the policeman.
