UyiIredia: Anytime I ask this question Christians start quoting Scripture. But it is good to reason things out.
God is eternal, but Jesus was born. Does that mean God was born?
God is omnipotent, but Jesus was weak, beaten, injured and crucified by Roman soldiers, does that mean God can be beaten, injured and killed on a cross?
God is omniscient but the where is the evidence of Jesus knowing everything?
God existed before and created the universe but Jesus came after the universe was made, does that mean God was born after the universe and made from it?
God is of no tribe but Jesus was a Jew, does that mean God is a Jew?
If God and Jesus are different how can they be the same thing?

Oblang: The League of Young Professionals has described as malicious the recent attacks on the person of Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media & Publicity, by Reno Omokri.
X weighed the issues diligently and dispassionately, it is our conclusion that
According to a statement by tbe group signed by Yemi Ojumu, National Publicity Secretary; Umar Dangana, National Director of Mobilisation and Steve Agadah, National Director of Enlightenment, Reno, whose antics are not new, has overreached himself again.
The group said Reno’s diatribes against Malam Garba Shehu, a respected model of professional excellence and a man of integrity, are diversionary gimmickry.
“They have not in any way addressed the point of massive corruption in the previous government in which he served.
“We strongly deplore these attacks on Malam Garba Shehu and advise Reno and the corrupt cabal which he stoutly defends, to desist forthwith and seek the face of God.
“Malam Garba Shehu has always stood for truth, justice, and good governance. His track record in public service is impeccable and easily verifiable. Going by his career trajectory, which has been illustrious, his previous political associations have been informed by patriotic inclinations and desire to nurture democracy and good governance. When he noticed a trust and credibility deficit in those administrations, he spoke out against them. Malam Garba’s public record is unblemished.
“Reno should direct the energies of his social media rascality elsewhere if he cannot rally to a just cause. The issues at stake are severe and border on our very existence as a nation where public service is driven by values.
“In civilized societies, Reno and others like him would be cooling off in some restitution facility, atoning for their mindless looting of the public treasury. Their criminal action which is a betrayal of public trust is the cause of the mass poverty in the land.
“No amount of social media histrionics by Reno will change the narrative: It’s about corruption, this government’s laudable efforts to bring the enablers and beneficiaries of fraud to justice, and the battle to end the culture of impunity by public officers. In this regard, we pledge our wholesome support to the Muhammadu Buhari administration in its determined figh
naijalander: Alright with the recent chess move (not checkmate) of our selfish Senate President, some ill informed Nigerians are comparing him to the man, the Legend Bola Tinubu
Who is the more astute politician?
Bola Tinubu or Bukola Saraki?
My answer -->
1. Saraki' influence starts and ends in the middle belt.
2. Saraki's rise in politics is largely due to his father's influence, unlike Tinubu, he's a daddy's boy with a chip on his shoulder.
3. Tinubu has never wanted the Federal seat, his goal has always been the consolidation of the South West and concession of Federal assets in the Western region to State governments. Your Saraki on the other hand obviously wants to be President.
4. Saraki can pull his stunts in the middle belt because well...it's the middle belt, not many political heavy weights exist there to resist his influence, is it Dino Melaye the cultist infected with new money syndrome that wants to sit on the same table with the big boys?
5. In the South West alone, there are 10 Sarakis; from Buruji Kashamu to Segun Mimiko to Adams Oshiomole, Tinubu has to deal with men of equal caliber (and he's done quite well, even his enemies revere him), when was Saraki ever the sole the opposition to an entire Federal government.
That goes to you and every male members of your family both on your mom and dad side! May you all Enjoy it!
You are like him, a problem not a solution. May your life be as buhari has turned Nigeria. Amin! Let me hear you say a sincere amin to that...

Benue youths prevent Governor Samuel Ortom from attending meeting with APC National leadership in Abuja.
Threatening to vote him out if he insists on going to Abuja for the meeting.
The youths angrily removed the APC flag on the Governor’s vehicle and asked him to go back to Government House.
Governor Ortom who was already on his way to Abuja for the meeting with the APC leaders pleaded with the youths to allow him attend the meeting assuring them that their interest would be protected.
The youths, however refused, insisting that the only option available to them was for the Governor to make a u turn.
Correct state. They never give up despite terror attacks on them. I like their fighting spirit. The almighty God of Israel will surely fight your fight. Amen
ChangetheChange: The Nigerian Political space was yesterday engulfed with cross-carpeting of senators and members of House of Representatives from the All Progressives Congress to the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) and African Democratic Congress, (ADC).
You would recall that the convoy of the Senate President Bukola Saraki was blocked at the Lake Chad Junction of his Abuja residence while trying to make his way to the National Assembly.
LeadersNG understands that the Deputy President of the senate, Chief Ike Ekweremadu residence at the Apo legislative quarters was also surrounded by officers and men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission who had in a letter dated 24th of July 2018 with reference number CR.3000/EFCC/DOPS/VOL49/40 sent an invitation to the deputy senate president to appear before the commission over the allegations of Conspiracy, Abuse of Office and Money Laundering.
LeadersNG gathered that the late night invitation of the senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki by the Nigerian Police over Offa Robbery and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s invitation of Ike Ekweremadu was aimed at impeaching the two principal officers of the senate as buses loaded with the All Progressives Congress senators loyal to the executive were already heading to the National assembly from the Transcorp Hilton Hotels.
The senators LeadersNG learned, were given N50million each with exception of Senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani who got N100million to usurp the leadership of the senate.
Sources at the Nigerian senate told LeadersNG that senator Shehu Sani was the one who leaked the information of the planned defection of the legislators to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Shehu Sani had before now been at the loggerhead with the kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-rufai.
A Nigerian senator who pleaded not to be named told LeadersNG that Senator Shehu Sani is a betrayal and a snitch.
“He attends our meetings as a member of r-APC but barely talk”.
“If he was not a betrayal and snitch, why didn’t he defect with the rest of the r-APC senators”?
“We met and agreed to sign the list of senators that were defecting, only for Senator Shehu Sani to decline, saying why the rush since they’ve all agreed to defect on Thursday.”
Senator Abdullahi Adamu was the one who shared the money that was given to the pro Executive senators by the presidency.
Many of the senators LeadersNG spoke with expressed disappointment with their colleague senator who they learned is even planning on reconciling with governor El-rufai. One of the senators said, President Buhari is working hard to reconcile both senator Shehu Sani and Malam Nasir El-rufai.
Meanwhile, Senator Shehu Sani in response to LeadersNG news flash, said “Dear Editor sir, this is not true, Thank you”.

Rachelsblog: Toyin Saraki Wife of the Senate President has reacted to the statement by the Nigeria Police force that the Officers who took over their Abuja Resident was to protect her.
In a statement The Police said that there was no authorised deployment of Police personnel to besiege the residence of the Senate President or his deputy as reported in the media. That The police personnel seen in pictures in the media were those in the convoy of the Senate President and others attached to him, who gives them maximum security.
However in reaction Mrs. Toyin posted on her Twitter this morning saying:
''I am absolutely flabbergasted by @PoliceNG Jimoh Moshood on TV attempting to claim that these white vehicles that blockaded the road outside our Abuja residence could possibly be "protection provided to the Wife of the Senate President" ! Firstly I have never received any vehicle from @PoliceNG Secondly, I believe these vehicles bear a striking resemblance to cars donated by my dear brother @AlikoDangote. I hope DSP Jimoh Moshood can leave me out of this unseemly contretemps. Thank you!
It was bad enough that I was forced to endure a mass invasion of my privacy, with the mis-identification of a guest at a private family occasion, falsely, as one of the @PoliceNG Offa Bank Robbery suspects. The Police did nothing to correct this widely circulated falsehood'.
Police at ekweremadu house are there for maximum protection too. To prevent him from going out or about. Old men lying like kids. I don't want to say idiots!
Tripleoluwa: Patience is what we need to exercise before these things starts to manifest. Remember when GSM was introduced, not many people believed it or can afford it, but today we all know the importance of GSM.
That's how this one is gonna work out. With time, the anchor borrowers policy will help to multiply farm produce, because a lot of people got the loan and with time, surge in prices of farm produce will go down. Also the FG embargo on dollar subsidy to some 41 banned items, especially rice, will encourage local investment in rice cultivation as seen in Lake Rice. Other people too have invested in rice but it will take a little while before we achieve national metric ton that can sustain us. By that time, the invisible hand of demand and supply will regulate price, govt too would put regulations in place to ensure price control.
That was how network providers started when MTN and Econnet were charging per minute until Glo came with per seconds billing. NCC too have done their part by further regulating call tariffs and data roll-over. Good morning
Obasanjo didn't wait for a second term to heal Nigeria from the plunder that buhari declared never happened! He hit the ground running. Let someone in sync with current world take the wheel of Nigeria. Negotiation will get us there not force or body language which has now turn to offensive body odour in many quarters including buhari wife aishat who also joined wailers before she was cautioned. And that was because she knew her husband wasn't measuring up to expectations of Nigerians. These are hard facts!
Tripleoluwa: That still didn't make him wants to islamize Nigeria. He didn't ask the Nigerian youths to join Islam before they get freebies. He simply charged them to be productive and he has enacted policies to assist them. Examples of such policy is the anchor borrowers policy. A friend of mine and her fiance got #6m to start their poultry project, the N-power program is still running, farm equipments have no import duties etc.. You can hear him talk about those things in the video
Yeah! I heard him alright, but what has that translated to in real terms? For me whether he wants to islamise Nigeria or not is his problem, all I choose to evaluate is his abysmal performance and blunders from a leader from day one of this administration. Thanks though. Good morning
GOOD THREAD BY A VERY REASONABLE PERSON. You dissect the matters on ground without taking any sides. You've said it all Baba Ramota! #Respect
Quite so! But buhari ll realise he is not educated enough to carry out this complex task in a modern world which illiteracy has deprived him of understanding.
alhassanyusuf29: Dear Nairalanders, pls let's have a logical and rational argument/debate regarding the political scenario and activities currently at play regarding the 2019 presidential election . You don't have to agree with anything I say,as views are mine, but let's devoid this thread of any insults, abuses and revilements
1.it is issential to know that the majority of those senators and HA,if not all, left APC solely for selfish interest and a battle of political survival within their domain of juridiction.
from the above quote,we can deduce and attest that the defection had nothing to do with Buhari,as non of them have any specific grudge or malice against the president, but from the fact that he couldn't promise them an automatic ticket to contest
2.apart from Saraki and kwankwaso, all other senators and HA are lightweight politicians who got elected either through the magnanimity of their governor or through a sweeping wave of support for their party, even a dog could have clinch a political post under APC during 2015 elections
forget about the factor of incumbency, governors, war chest, military, police etc!!..which politician dead or alive do u think can divide the votes of Buhari in the likes of Zamfara, kebbi, sokoto, kano, jigawa ,kaduna, borno, bauchi, niger, gombe state?,absolutelt non!
Buhari will comfortably win inkogi state, and will win kwara, nasarawa and adamawa(atiku as presidential candidate) state with a slight margin, but will probably loseplatue, benue and taraba state with a sligh
excuse my typo
Man you better wake up! One of the defector openly referred to Mr president as tyrant, and you are still under the illusion that the defection has nothing to do with a non performing buhari! Besides putting kwara as one of the states where buhari would win already shred your points.
BloggersNG: Yesterday Some APC Senators defected to PDP at the National Assembly. Thirty-two APC senators had defected to the opposition PDP on Tuesday, with another four to the ADC..
And here are few photos of how they were welcomed. See more below!
Addme: Benue Assembly is still one assembly I don't understand their politics. Before now,APC was in minority and they produced the speaker. After gale of defections that rocked APC members in the house,PDP now have a very strong majority i.e. 22 members out of 30.These 22 members impeached the former speaker.. Why on earth would they still make APC member their speaker is devoid of reasoning
PassingShot: Benue, Kwara and Sokoto states May eventually be lost to PDP. That will leave APC in firm control of 22 states which is more than enough to bury PDP in 2019. Majority of the politicians defecting now won in 2015 primarily because of Buhari Tsunami and are already on their way to lose their seat having lost out in the battle to control their state's party structure without success.
Wait till PDP convention/primaries to see implosion to realize that this is just a child's play.
PMB is in a stronger position now than in 2015 when he had many odds against him.
The battle just starting.
You choose to forget plateau, kano, taraba,Niger and kogi where APC is walking on their toes right now.
Tripleoluwa: Sir, the argument here is that a particular person paid $2m to Cambridge Analytica to lie that PMB will islamize Nigeria. And the recent killings in xtian dominated areas have added malicious credence to that false alarm.
To the above about Nigerian youths being lazy, the president did not say Nigerian youths are lazy. Have you seen the video? Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5k3gzjsIcOk
Please always look for fact before arriving at conclusions. Many false stories are daily being reported. Watch the video and see
I am a very informed person because thats my job and I have my facts right! Let me paraphrase what was on the video you sent; "most of our youths don't want to work they want free everything from government. " please what does that mean? Anyway the issue is Cambridge analytical right? But for me its that buhari has disappointed a lot who called him Mr integrity and expected performance but got inaction. He is only concern about power not leadership. No good leader act the way he does.
