Chechem: Its nolonger news that the President will disband his council on the 22nd of May...
Is it possible that the minister will want to conclude this recruitment before he leaves? Or will he be comfortable to let another person take over?
I want to believe that we will see the end of this recruitment before 22nd. What's your stake house? Doesb he have anything to gain if he leaves without releasing the list? |

DiO2: So nobody here knows someone that knows Rtd Gen Dambazau? Let us just know his plans for this recruitment. This is tiring and frustrating. A genuine update like ‘NPS will commence training by November 2019’ is better than this mystery and suspense. on or before july |

DrDizzle: It sure does. Thanks for the detailed explanation.
Back to due process...Please when are they releasing list of successful applicants? Any info? I'm keeping myself updated here too. No info yet |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Recruitment Into Nigerian Prisons Service 2018 by kehnton(m): 10:46am On Mar 31, 2019 |
DrDizzle: Thanks for the info, I appreciate. I used myself as an example. Maybe I would have said “if SOMEONE gets employed via replacement......
Anyways I thought as much. In military and paramilitary, one must undergo the compulsory training. It just that the term ‘replacement’ keeps confusing me. The term REPLACEMENT is used, usually, when there is no general recruitment. Replacement is usually done underground, depending on who handles it for you, it can be free or paid... But replacement is recruitment without inviting the general public. The term replacement suggests that some officers have retired, some passed on, some traveled out, some quitted for whatever reason and there is shortage of manpower but it's not worth doing a nationwide recruitment for, so they do replacement exercises... Note that replacement exercises happen like every other time within a year, unlike general recruitment that is once in 3 to 4years... I hope that helps |

DrDizzle: Nice one. Please Let’s use NPS for example. If I am been employed via replacement, does it mean I won’t go for training? Like I will just collect my appointment letter and start working? If no, will there be a special training for those replaced or will they train together with those employed via recruitment. Thanks Yes everyone. Everyone goes for training and I love it cos training is continuously done throughout your service. The basic training is however compulsory. If one doesn't go through training they can't know what the job is about. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Recruitment Into Nigerian Prisons Service 2018 by kehnton(m): 12:40pm On Mar 26, 2019 |
damiBJ: Can't loose my present job bcozz of the screening. My source can easily input my name without me filling the form....I kno wat am saying.....but if he fail to do the needful dizz tym around....am done wit him. I love your confidence. He maybe powerful and all but there must be a reason he told you to go for the screening. But you didn't seem to obey him. He said you should go for screening but you refused to go basing it on the fact that he has the power to include your name in the final list. I'm glad you have a work already. You're right. There's no do or die affair here. If one fails, you have your current job as back up and you can stop trusting in these so called sources. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Recruitment Into Nigerian Prisons Service 2018 by kehnton(m): 8:17am On Mar 25, 2019 |
damiBJ: So for me sayin I don't understand is now a problem to u...OK o...well...I don't care abt any screening...mine has always bin final list....I wnt say more Dan DAT. I know someone who source told to go for the screening despite not receiving text. He saw his name on the list when he got there and did the needful. Some source don't have power over final list but can influence it if their candidates got screened at the selection stage. |

Damminglola: Haba!! I’m just asking generally just should in case. I also heard that their training lasts for six month?? It doesnt matter for now. when we get to that point we would know their rules and even such rules have exceptions and can be easily broken. the training is from 3months to 6months, which ever way, its still all good. |
