A particularly sad incident and may God grant her family and friends the fortitude to bear the loss. More painful especially for one so young.

But I am not sure the robbers on an "OKADA" will wait to ransack their victim's bag. They usually snatch it and zoom off (from many victim's testimony). More likely there was a struggle so PLEASE in this kind of situation don't try and play the hero. One word is enough,

It's strange how people can believe someone outrightly without recourse to the other person's side of the story. Especially someone you don't know and ultimately can't trust (You don't even trust some people you know sef). How can logic and reasoning prevail when judgement is based on 1 side of the story. The reason for the courts is so that both sides can present evidence to the contrary. I'm shocked that the moderators can post such unconfirmed stories in the front page as well, wait till somebody serious throws a law suit at you. Even CNN emphasises it when some of their news has not been independently confirmed.

Those castigating the doctor are immature.

I'm saying that because it's obvious they make decisions in their lives without considering all the options.

It's not just a matter of if the story is true or not, but if you can pass judgement when you dont have the full picture.

WISE UP!!!!
HealthRe: My Dad's Doctor Attitude Shocked Me (pls Read My Story) by Kekenapep: 9:18pm On May 02, 2011
I sense a total Lack of Objectivity here. Somebody comes and complains about a doctor and his hospital and most people responding on this thread swallowed the story hook , line, sinker, the fisherman and his boots. You don't know if the guy wrote it for the following reasons;

1. He could not pay his bills.
2. He has a personal grudge against the doctor.
3. He is the one with the mental episodes.
4. He could not afford the hospital bills.
5. This guy is abroad and can't write (probably cant speak) good english.
6. He was penalised for hitting the Doctor's car
7. A million other reasons.

That is how most people go through life lacking objectivity and making decisions without having a true picture of events. Dumb folks.

You claim in your topic that you are married but I think it should be "I am divorced, but in love with my lover". Unless of course you have not gone through with your divorce.

, Be4 d marriage I was involvd in an affair wit a married man., She had been cheating be4 the marriage and is now complaining her husband is not showing love to her (even mentioning she does not really know who the father of her son is).

, so we continued 4rm where we stoppd., thats something.

, I tot dat will smoothen my affair wit my new lover but he startd being hot nd cold. , everybody has said it, he is not looking for a long term commitment but short time service so forget his side.

, I'm so confusd,wat shud I do. I luv my new lover very much and dont hav any feelings 4 my husband anymore, , yep confused is what you are (the truest part of your statement).Your lover is not going to give up his life/future for you but you are the foolish one that gave up your life for him.When will you get it that his the aim of his "love" and assistance is to get  in between ur legs. Some people just so dumb.

, Pls,advice me properly on wat next 2 do, , the wrong place to ask is in the court of public opinion because from your story it's dificult to pity you because as you make your bed so you lie on it they say. But the future of your child is paramount and I don't think his best interests are best served by you bringing him up (unless of course you have changed) but this I doubt.

here's what I think you should do next.

1. deal with your life and be serious about that (only Jesus can do that for you).

2. deal with your past (talk to your ex-husband about your cheating be4 you even married him and cheating after also). If he takes you back fine, if not move on and enjoy ur life.

3. Decide to have a better life and rise above the circumstances.

4. Assume that all is okay, decide not to change anything and live a confused and miserable life and wonder why the world is mad at you.

My sixpence (actually just 4)

My advice to you, go find a transformer (not the 11,00 volts one but the 33,000 volts) and give it a lovely xmas and new year hug. And make sure you hug it when it has power.

If she is one in a million then there is another 6,000 of her (since we are 6 billion).
FamilyRe: I Think My Friend Is More In Love With Me Than My Husband by Kekenapep: 6:46pm On Dec 23, 2010
As they say in yorubaland "Aiye se yan" meaning the "world is doing you" as it refers to forces beyond your control influencing life. But this is a clear case of someone using their own hand to "do" themself.

It is clear that the lady in question is selfish, prideful, immature and self-absorbing which is actually the greatest excuse of divorce, the desire to please self alone. Marriage is not all about emotion, there is trust, commitment and sacrifice, these things have nothing to do with feelings.

You have clearly opened the door to the devil in your family and the repercussions will not be pretty. From what I can garner you seem too young to messs up your life and that of your young family. Believe me there are a lot of messed up lives out there.

As a married woman you lacked wisdom in allowing a married man to "enter" into your life. You are careless.

The wise woman uses her hands to build her family so the book says but the foolish woman tears it down. You be the judge madam.

I have no pity for you rather my pity is for your husband who "thinks" he has a wife.

Remember that the past cannot be changed. Make sure you prepare for a future that you can be proud of.

Close the door to satan and you will look back years from now and say "how foolish could I have been" almost destroying the beautiful things of my life.
PoliticsRe: British Investigators Turn Sights On Soludo by Kekenapep: 8:34am On Nov 29, 2010
A lot of questions have been raised and I will try to answer each;

1. Soludo is not the only one corrupt (if he is) - "What goes around comes around". Nigerians can be unbelievably stupid at times because we know a lot of people are corrupt doesn't mean that ones that are charged to court or investigated should go free. Isn't it "one by one" again till the work is done.

2. Our tribal links are so strong in Nigeria that we overlook wrong because he is from our tribe "he/she is one of us". Justice must (will) prevail even if he/she is ur cousin/friend, unless of course you stole together. and don't want to be caught yourself or better still you enjoyed the proceeds of their crimes.

3. Every investigation has a political undertone - Any time issues like this come up we are quick to say "politically motivated". I believe it is crucial to note here that this investigation (like that of Ibori) is being carried out abroad (a system where it is not easy to subvert justice like in Nigeria). These people work professionally and not with sentiments. If he is a target of an investigation it's because they have evidence that might link him to crimes committed

4. Political heavyweight - Soludo is not a political heavyweight for sure (thats not really debatable for me).

5. Soludo watched while madam cecilia and her other bank cronies wrecked financial havok on our banking system. If he was supposed to supervise them in his position as CBN chief, he did a mighty poor job.

6. Not all bad - He did do soe good with banks capitalization et al

7. Let Justice prevail - If he is found inocent then his credibility increases. if found guilty then let him spend some time reflecting on his life in jail.

8. Not so smart - It is clear here to me that some contributors here supporting differing opinions here are;
a. Not so smart (Insulting each other).
b. Not very objective (Learn to look at issues from different sides not just ethnic or tribal). be unbiased.
c. Not mature enough (some contributions are childish and immature). They may be uneducated/teens/Ignorant/tribalistic/just plain dumb.
d. Politically motivated themselves (they just don't like someone who opposes their person).

I rest my case.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Denies Facebook Comment by Kekenapep: 11:51am On Nov 27, 2010
ABSURD!!!

I believe in playing fair and being objective.

In view of that let me state that the topic does not in anyway convey the same substance in the messgage. Why this? the author can clarify that.

But in any case if the purpose was to mislead the reader it is certanly not good enough.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Hits New Low ! ! ! by Kekenapep: 11:36am On Nov 27, 2010
Newspaper stories (especially one like SR) should not just be taken with a pinch of salt but probably with a whole bag. Since the kidnapping saga involving some journalists a while ago, it is obvious that these journalists are paid to write news albeit incorrect/false news.

This story may have some facts true but a lot of it is probably exaggerated.

SR obviously doesn't like GEJ. They are becoming more out of tune everyday.

RomanceRe: Cannot Forget My Ex by Kekenapep: 10:59pm On Dec 02, 2009
Your story reminds me of the scriptures, "A wise women builds up her own home but a foolish woman pulls it down"

You have a good husband, two boys and you find happiness is talking to another man, you open up to ur ex-bf instead of ur husband, bottom line is you don't deserve ur husband and u don't deserve to be the mother of those two lovely boys with a great future, you are the only potential blot in their lives, you are the doorway for the enemy to attack ur household, fake your death and go meet ur ex and let ur husband marry a woman who realises that her home is her life.

Otherwise talk to your husband about it and save ur marriage and get help from spiritual counsellors (i.e ur pastor)
RomanceRe: Most Igbo Girls Marry Late Why? by Kekenapep: 11:18am On Dec 01, 2009
@OTUKPO

* It is a wrong notion/impression that igbo girls marry late. WRONG THEY DO (AND MAYBE OTHER TRIBES ALSO)

* What age shld be considered late or too late? ABOVE 32 I GUESS

* That the average Igboman wld prefer to be matured in mind and in finances b4 making the commitment of    marriage so as to livu up to his reponsiblity of being a man and a father. BULLSHIT, HE NEEDS TO HAVE MONEY TO GET A BRIDE NOTHIN TO DO WITH MATURITY

* That it is better to be matured to enter into marriage and remain in it happily than to rush into it and rush out. MATUITY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AGE IN THIS INSTANCE BUT RATHER DELAY BECAUSE NO SUITOR (OR POOR SUITOR)

* That Igbo parents wld rather have their daughters educated and established in life so as to equip them for future challenges both in marriage and the world at larger. LOAD OF CRAP, EDUCATED AND ESTABLISHED MY ASS, DO YOU LIVE IN NIGERIA AT ALL, THEY ARE LOOKING TO MARRY THEM OUT TO STOP BEING THEIR OWN BURDEN BUT THEIR HUSBANDS

* The the issue of bride prize is a function/decision of the girl's family and not the whole village or Igbo as a tribe. ARE YOU FOR REAL, I HAVE A LOT OF FRIENDS (SOME ARE IGBO THEMSELVES) WHO MARRIED IGBO AND ALL OF THEM SAW IT AS A FINANCIAL PROJECT

* The the issue of marriage list is a thing of the girl's family as they can give out their daughter with or without the list. WITH THE LIST MOST TIMES I BET YOU

* That u cannot know what is obtainable in other tribes more than the pple of that tribe no matter how much u have associated with them. STORY, NO BE THE THING WEY PERSON SEE PERSON GO TALK

* That 98% of Igbo girls will prefer to remain single rather than settle for a 2nd wife not to talk of 5th, 6th or even 10th wife as some other wld. BASED ON WHICH STATISTICS, YOURS ALTHOUGH TO BE FAIR MULTIPLE IGBO WIVES ARE RARER THAN MOST

* That u can marry an Igbo girl of your choice even if u are worth 50k as long as there is love btw u 2. KIDDING RIGHT, 50K NO GO COVER THE PLANNING EXPENSES SEF NOT O MENTION EXECUTION

* That u shld not allow urslf to be intimidated or discouraged abt all the igbo marriage exagerations cos they are all farce. NOT ALL OF THEM

* That it is only a crazy parent wld give out a daughter for marriage at age 8 as is obtainable in some tribes or use a daughter as a kola for a dear friend or for settlement purposes as also obtainable in some tribes. SOME PARENTS DO INARDVENTLY GIVE THIER DAUGHTERS OR ENCOURAGE THEM TO MARRY THE "HIGHEST BIDDER" I.E THE ONE WHO HAS THE MOST MONEY, NA TODAY

i can go on and on, but we can also express our opinions without insulting one another. TRUE,
RomanceRe: Co- Habitation Is It That Bad? by Kekenapep: 3:47pm On Aug 31, 2009
1. The originator does not want to know if its good or bad She thinks its good already so I think she's somewhat confused asking the question in the first place. (Daft eh!!)

2. Co-habitation is the epitome of selfishness (the zenith of "its all about me" syndrome). The reason why most marriages fail in the first place. My feelings, my reputation, my career, my money, my conveniences etc. Countries are run by constitutions, businesses by code of conducts, games with rules, Marriage by love, trust and commitment and Co-habitation by "NOTHING" (thats dumb eh!!). You can just "walk out the door"

3. Co-habitation raises kids who think "if its too hard to do lets find an easy way out". Co-habitation is the easy way out. (truth eh!!).

4. Where purpose is not known abuse is inevitable - Co-habitators do not understand the purpose of marriage. We all remember in the popular cartoon "Little mermaid" how they thought a fork was a comb.

4. The blessedness of being married to a beautiful, loving, caring, wise, commited, excellent wife. This makes life so beautiful and worth living. i wont give this up for anything in the world.

CareerRe: Subsea, Mud, Reservoir, Pipeline, Petroleum, Drilling Engineers & Supervisors Zone by Kekenapep: 4:46pm On Aug 28, 2009
To Ehido;

As was said earlier a roustabout is the lowest position on the rig and it involves essentially just manual labour. Depending on the company Transocean, seadrill etc, your work ethic, connections within the company and nationality (yes that matters too) you may be able to move up rapidly (the possibility exists) or you may take forever (literarily).

Basically you move from roustabout-senior rastabout-chief roustabout-assistant derrickman-derrickman-assistant driller-driller-toolpusher-drilling leader and some others

To be candid with you if you have an opportunity for a masters it may be  better because experience gained as a roustabout may not count for much in your field of study.  But if its the money u need u may earn around 200k/month and above or possibly lower if u are staff or on contract.

Don't be fooled. the only italian company that can recruit such numbers is AGIP and they are not recruiting not to mention the fact that the positions advertised are for both a producing and an oil services company. Therefore no one company can recruit across such numerous positions. They may be trying to accumulate CV's for such positions for God knows what.

RomanceRe: In love with my Ex, but I am married by Kekenapep: 10:05pm On Mar 20, 2009
I have been following this story since the beginning and I comment as follows;

1. the story is unfolding like a soap opera (i think there are at least 5 episodes in there). It may be untrue

If it is true;

1. I doubt if you are a born again christian from all the comments u have made. I f u are not then i cant help you, nobody can really.  But if u are then obviously God is a bystander in this case and most likely in your life. For the sake of readers i will add the following comments;

2. We (the readers) do not have enough information to make sound judgements. A one sided story can NEVER be entirely truthful. It takes two to tango like they say. One will tell the story to his/her advantage and to justify his/her actions. She/he may be the one most at fault.

3. If there has been continual abuse (especially physical)  in the relationship or He really had an issue from another woman then a divorce might be a consideration and a last resort.

4. There is mention that she loved him in the first two years of marriage (what if this ex had showed up then, what happens?) If u marry this other guy and after two years  some issues come up (like they always will, believe me) what will u do? Go back to ur former husband or work things out.

5. When people keep saying their happiness i am suspicious what they mean most times is they are SELFISH and they are thinking only of themselves. I am not always happy (show me someone who does) so what life goes on. Your husband is selfish and you are selfish too. Thats is d basic reason for divorce bi-selfishness.

6. When people claim not to be able to live without someone thats a lie. You claim to love him, i disagree, I think you are actually addicted to him (like one is addicted to a cigarette or liquor). Maybe u had sex with him before and there are soul ties. Love says i want to make u happy and I find joy in doing so. Addiction says it/u make me happy and i cant live without it/u.

7. It is absurd and utterly unthinkable that ur ex will approach ur parents (Which kind of parents are those) when u are still married. That is VERY irresponsible of them. Wouldnt want them advising anyone I know for sure. Gosh Help!!!!

You and ur husband should have gone for counselling and realised that Marriage is not just about finding the right peson but mostly being the right person. Marriage is hard work at and not a butterfly- in-the-stomach, evrything-will-work-out-cos-i-love-you, i-will-feel-like-this-always etc
