Good morning nairaladers, pls pardon my errors.
I met this girl late last year, she's nice, godly and has most of the qualities i want in a wife. i love her, though her dad is late and her mum should be in her late thirties.
Yesterday we were chatting and she was like her dad didn't do the necessary rites on her mum and hence according to tradition i will have to pay her mum's bride price to her family before i will be allowed to start her own (my babe) marriage rites. I just weak cos have never heard of such. Where i won see the money for double bride price?
Pls nairaladers, have any of you come across such ridiculous tradition or she's making it up herself cos i feel like quiting the whole thing.
I just tire. Your opinions are welcomed

That's normal thing. Op by tradition, the late Dad did not marry the mother and wouldn't have collected the dowry if he is alive. The bride price is paid to the mother's family. Thats the tradition.

Good. Very good. When I tell people that the amount previously quoted is to inform the world the quantities and quantities of the weapons they are sending to Ukraine and not that Ukraine would pay for it, they started arguing. Well that is it. No matter whatever happens, Putin will be the ultimate loser in this war.
I've racking my brain to understand his long term goal in this war.
1. He can't govern Ukraine.
2. It is almost impossible to demilitarize a European country in this century by Force.
3. Ukrainians are very stubborn and intensely patriotic. Anyone who is bored of reading history should atleast read Fredrick Forsythe novel "The Devil's Alternative". Putin made a foolish calculation.
4. Historical, Russia has never win a war without allied forces being her allies. Without UK and USA, Russia would have been a forgotten entity either in the first world war or second.
5. Russia is ecomonically too poor to face the world and rest of Europe can exist without it.
6. Putin is not strategical at all. Why lieing to the world that you're not invading, thereby making the entire world affirms that you knew that you have no cause to invade.

You even have time for the op. People full of suspicious tendencies, conspiracy theorists. You see I once took my pregnant wife to a general hospital and met my guy who is also from nearby village as mine. When he wanted to question (clamp) her, he asked me to leave them when he perceived some uneasiness in my wife's expression. The marriage was 6 months old then. Till today, I refused to ask the doc what they discussed. I don't want to put him in difficult position of loyalty to me and his professional ethics. I know without being told that any prodding from me will make him to behave like the priest, distancing himself from me.

@gazzuzz please I've 2000 Camry. The coolant in radiator reduces always but I can't detect any leak but my mechanic asked me to change to double cell. Is that a good advice. I refill the radiator after a short distance. What else may be causing the constant shortage.

@adamgeneral12 please adhere to this advice and you will be well. You had an accident which affected your brain. That brain needs to be scanned (cost #45000) to determine if there is blockage somewhere. And if there is, should be operated on to remove and within one week you will be whole again. Please this is not prophet case, it's purely medical. If you're in southeast, I'll suggest Enugu where there specialized private hospital that is very good at that. Though there charge is on high side. Scan 45000, operation 400,000 to 800,000.
But note also that after scanning, they might prescribed drugs rather than operation.
