Scam post.. convert to Dollars... I want to check something🤔

It's very clear that he has a personal vendetta against the Chairmen..

These guys were elected by Obaseki the Nigerian way we all know and it was natural that they worked for him in the last governorship election in the state.

Why not simply find a way to work with them.. allow them use out their time, then elect your own chairmen.. picking on elected local chairmen to settle personal score is just wrong..

In all fairness, the major local refineries came onstream late in the year.. so we can only hope that this value comes down drastically by next year..

But then this is Nigeria, knowing who we are, someone somewhere would sit in one office and ensure that that import reduction doesn't happen.. collects his own and pockets it at the expense of an entire nation.

I saw a post someone made recently about the Turkey Brand of Vegetable Oil, and this got me thinking. Kings Vegetable oil was one of the brands that came into the market to displace the Turkey brand with a relatively affordable price of the product compared to the then very popular White tin-gallon of the Turkey Brand..

But today, Kings, taking advantage of its wide acceptance in the Nigerian market, increases their price almost on a monthly basis. Same product 5L that sold less than 5k two years ago now sells for over 20k. (Just couple of months back.. it sold for 12k - a whopping 60% increment of a food item in just one month). Totally unreasonable. Of course, this increments have gone way past the foreign exchange and inflation rates, and just a company's or marketer's ploy to take advantage of the already down-trodden Nigerian masses.

The ripple effect of increasing or gouging the prices of leading products spreads to most of the other competing and alternative less-appealing brands who also take the advantage of the gouging to increase their own prices as demands rise (turning economics on its head) and further making it difficult for Nigerians to get quality products at reasonable prices. This scheme cuts across every food products in the country at the momemt.

This is also a call on the Consumer Protection Agencies to call the company and its distributors to order to curtail this unreasonable price gouging.

Government mouthed Food Security when talking but nothing is done to protect the Nigerian masses from these arbitrary increases that don't make any economic sense.

Nigerians deserve better.

But like someone pointed out read the reviews, also take your time to read the description of items posted..

If they advertise centre carpet, take note of the measurement before they send you praying mat..

If they advertise storage drawers, Note the measurement, most items are way smaller when you see it in physically but the measurements are actually stated there but most people don't take time to read them

They are definitely not talking about ordinary Nigerians.. maybe the rich guys because to buy that Peak tin and refill now, body go tell you..

Imagine Argentinian President telling his citizens for the past two years that 'yes we know things are hard but wait for light at the end of the tunnel'.. that is what they have been doing to Nigerians.

The Argentinan man came about the same time as them.. today he has reduced inflation in that country from close to 50% to less than 4%.. without making his people poorer or out of job.

David Hundeyin once said the reason people desperately want to japa is simply to earn whatever foreign currency is available anywhere and convert it to Naira.. because Naira is sitting pretty very low down there in the list of world currencies. Further putting more pressure on those of us at home.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have any issue with people earning honest living by whatever means even sweeping the streets..

But would this same post come up if Naira is traded between 50-100 to a Dollar??! 🤔
