Please identify yourselves if you flew from Ghana to Canada? I really cannot believe how Accra/Ethiopian Airlines are treating Nigerians even when you have a valid visa and a stamped stay in ghana from Accra Airport.

For those deciding to use Ghana I advise you to run, do not try it. From the positive covid test result you will be given and the fact that Ethiopian airlines are discriminating against Nigerians here.. They don't want to pick up Nigerians from Accra airport.. please if you travelled from ghana successfully pls let us know and tell us how you did. I even saw a Nigerian dad running around for his daughter and they discriminated against him despite his age. Ethiopian Airlines are not accepting Nigerians from Accra as I speak to you and its fact..

Extremely compulsory. You won't be allowed to fly without it. Ghanaians aren't playing.

Do I need to take a covid test in nigeria before coming to Ghana?

To everyone going through Accra I will advice you go by air. They also have their arrival form online where you will be asked questions about vaccination and address in Accra etc. This form can be filled also when you arrive kotoka but it's better you fill it online it saves you lots of time. Also it's important you have a contact number of someone in Accra, the phone number requested on the form is a Ghana line not Nigeria, it won't accept naija line. Its important you pay for the compulsory covid test on arrival, you will be charged 50usd as a Nigerian but outside Ecowas countries 150usd. Payment is done online and will show this to them when you arrive. Tell Ghana immigration you came for holiday and intend to spend 3 weeks so you can get 30days or 3months stay. I was given 90 days.
I advice you keep receipt of the hotel that shows 14days payment of your hotel you stayed in quarantine in Accra. Keep your covid test result taken before you left naija and result of when you arrived Accra. Pls note the hospital or lab where your covid test will be done before leaving naija must be part of the Ghana's accepted list. All the best to us.

Update be say her flight na 11:40pm...she got in it safely without airport stress. Her luggage was a bit overweight and she dropped some stuffs they took off some minutes ago...Next update will be after she lands in Mexico by God's grace.

If you are talking about rejecting Nigerians at the Canadian border, I do not think its true.
I called CBSA today and they said as far as we are not in Niger within 14 days of our travel then you can come into Canada.
So...if you leave Nigeria and quarantine in another country that does not have a ban for 14 days, you are admissible to Canada.

But I would also like for someone else to contact CBSA so we can verify if the information above is correct.
If you are willing to call them, please email me so I can share their contact.

You need to have a quarantine plan and you will only know if you will be exempted at the port of entry .


If your second vaccine is more or within 14 days day as at the time you are at Canada, you might not need to quarantine.

Saying this based on the landing gist so far on here.

KLM is the least stressful among all the airlines but it's like 509k to 521k. You can try Ethiopia airways and Qatar airways. Better still, you can compare different airlines by using Google flights then you book through the airline.

Good morning everyone
Since getting my passport request I have submitted my passport to the Lagos office since I am in no rush. I used dhl two way courier and even got a return waybill. The last email notification sent yo me from vfs said that my decision envelope had been picked up from the vac in Lagos. Does this mean the dispatch rider has collected it or something? I’m confused because I am also tracking the dhl package online and it says that the package has not been received yet.
This is the last message I got. Please help, I hope there is no cause for alarm.

When I did mine about 4 weeks ago, it took 11 working days. Btw, hope you paid DHL for the return of the passport. If you didn’t, VFS would give you a call on how to get the passport back.
