hmmm,its been a while o. almost 6months now but life has neva remained d same down dere. sometimes it throbs like a headache n oda times,i get a very peppery sensation when i urinate. its al so so frustrating. hubby is really understanding n all but 4 ow long wud i complain without pissing d poor guy off.
mind u, prior to childbirth, things werent like dis at all. very healthy s,ex life. good old days,lol.

little wonder. am in d same situation with d op. I just don't care abt it anymore. had a baby recently n I was stitched down dere. stil feel pains most of d time as a result so any mention or interest in se.x by hubby gets me screaming.

But let me look at your perspective, if you want to start reading bible, you can open a thread where some people post pure heresies about the bible, i bet you, you would be urged to go and do some research.

For example i did not feel like reading the bible at a particular time until i opened a thread and saw where someone pasted that the bible said "Adam was from africa" with scriptural references, this day i opened by bible by force to do some research.

I will just say, have this desire to know more about Jesus and your faith, this will lead you to learn more about the bible, if you are a new convert, try reading the new testament first before going old, the new testament relates more to you than the old testament, also pray before you start reading, another thing, be open to people of strange doctrines, you would want to by all means keep reading the bible.

Chiilove: How do u start readin ur book 4 exams or test? U start 4rm page 1 to undstand d topic, ryt? So also is d Bible. U don't read d Bible anyhow, if u do, u won't undstand it atal. Wen u want 2 study d Bible, u start 4rm the beginnin i.e Genesis down 2 Revelation. Or Genesis to Malaci better stil Matthew to Revelatn. Because each Bible book leads to another. Dats how i study 2 get d story clearly.

hectorsector: Reading the bible like a novel or textbuk is not bad at all. The bible is full of power and spirit that it influences anyone who reads it constantly. U don't have to struggle to understand.
It is good to read thru the entire bible not just once but continuosly for life.
Oyedepo was asked how he manages to quote scriptures verbatim, he relied that he eats the word. Keep reading it until it becomes a habit. Information is the first step to understanding because you must know before you understand. If you're a beginner in word study, i advise you use a devotional...ODM is good. There also many other great devotional resources. Use them and be consistent. When you do it for a year, you'll be shocked that you must have gone thru the entire bible. Then that could fuel the desire to read cover to cover.

its not about having the bible but actually reading it. I av 2 bibles on my phones n 2 in hardcopy also
weneva I pick up n try to study, dats wen I'll remember I avnt washed, cooked, made my bed, called my mum, fed my baby etc. they all just keep comin till I get discouraged again.

Knight1: I decided to get a diary. started chapter by chapter and wrote memory verses and other things I learnt in each chapter.
by God's grace, I will be finishing the bible this month...on the last book-numbers. didn't start from genesis. that's almost three years After I started.

It's been a good experience.

I envy u o, u kept at it till d end. Don't devotionals help too as there are always bible verses at d end of each lesson?

tnx a lot. I tried doing this several times but I end up skipping parts I find "boring" like histories n all dat. at d end of d day, I find I just give up altogether.

Why are you interested in reading the bible?

am interested cos I want to know more of God. I want to be able to pray using bible verses. I read d KJV but d grammar too much as in canst, knowest, rejoiceth so much dat I find that I don't understand at all.

I have been having a running battle with myself trying to read my bible everyday but I just can't. sometimes, I pick ut up to read but I don't know where to start. An idea came to me to try reading from Genesis to Revelation in a particular order but that dint work cos it would seem like am reading a textbook or novel.
I really yearn to know more about God especially these days our pastors preach from " their own bible". Thought of using a devotional like Word for Today, donno if it would help.
I'll appreciate sound advice pls.
