Kendraloops : My doc actually suggested tubes tying at my first antenatal appointment but since I am still pregnant,I have to wait.however if you aren't 35 and above yet,the procedure will not be done

haaa! why na? I'm not close to 35 at all. I guess its cos they think one might have a change of mind later. I'll ask at my next visit, I don't want another baby after this!!

Hello mummies(to be). I'm currently pregnant with my 2nd child and I'm soooooo sure I don't want another after this. Has anyone here tried any permanent form of birth control? I spoke with my oga but he said I shouldn't go for it, meanwhile he wasn't too pleased with the preg news cos things are kinda tight now and he's also sure he doesn't want another yet he doesn't want me to have a permanent contraception.

did some research and saw implants and all, but I don't trust all these implants, they can fail.

I was thinking about having a CS and then telling the doc to just tie my tubes? (sounds silly?)

Whose gone through this?

Hi all,I was called yesterday at night to come for the 2nd phase of my interview by 10am at BM school Lekki and they basically asked what my creative side was and the subjects I could teach.
I am pregnant and I told them since they didn't notice and they were happy with me for being honest.
I will be resuming 2months after my baby is born.
I am extremely thankful to God for this favour He has shown me.

PS. Am not too good with maths o. I only study maths hard to pass exams. Pls what aspect o maths would I have to learn If I have interview at a primary school?

depends on the class though but generally, you can study percentages, open sentences, word problems, pie charts, barcharts and the family, ratios, rounding up/off, roman numerals, conversion from m to km and stuff like that, areas of circles, perimeter,volume of cuboids etc.

These are the little I remember from what I taught and what i was asked in an interview I went for early this week. hope it helps.

I went for an interview at St. George academy nur and pry school, oda road, Akure. It comprised a written interview and an oral one. At the end, I was asked how much I'll be willing to collect, I asked for 25k based on the fact that its a new school starting up September but I was offered 10k!! This is a place I'll be paying 300 to n fro daily as transport fare o which makes 6k/month. So, that's cancelled.


I want to apply to secondary schools but I haven't taught secondary pupils before. Any suggestions? How to cope with micro teaching and all?

I write the name of the school at the gate stylishly without letting the gateman see me or else some of them will turn you back. Make copies of ur CV and arrange in envelopes with the application letter. Try get to the office by saying you want to make enquiries and then tell them your purpose. Don't give gateman o. Best of luck! I address to the school management or sch administrator.

hey peeps. I want to go on mass CV distribution, but I have a question. How do I address the application letter,is it until I'm at the gate of the school as I don't have any particular school in mind. I might just be strolling past a street and I see a school,I'll quickly write the address on the space i must have left for it abi how I go do am? Or I just submit only CV with copies of my certs?

I didn't get a parcel despite going to about 3 centres. They said the parcels won't even go round the regular markers not to talk of gatecrashers. I was offered a checker position but I jump am pass, 3k or thereabout.

I'm at Aquinas college, Akure. Briefing about to begin. No show at Fiwasaye.

Such a pitiful situation. See how those kids look, very dirty and unkempt, right in their own country. Finding it hard to believe they are Nigerians just like me. People in power, fear God!!

About my interview in Akure, I decided not to go as I'm not grounded in the basic tech to be able to function effectively. Looking around for schools within Akure though.


All those that have gotten good jobs already, congrats to you. To we still searching, e go better!!

Management subjects such as geography, social and civic studies, commerce and economic is what you would fit in properly. However, still try making the interview.
Remember we learn both on and off the job, besides the experience would be helpful.

you're totally right!! I can teach those subjects with ease. I thought basic tech was just gonna be like them but from info gotten here, I'd better not go and disgrace my family there at the interview. Thanks all the same.

that's my area.....what specific information do u need the sub-areas involve calculations, technical drawing, practicals and notes which covers building, electrical/electronics, mechanical and wood work.
