1. Beans powder - come with small quantity
2. Beans, - You can bring this in small quantity, there is beans available here that looks closely like ours ( Black Eyed Peas available at Walmart)

3. Rice, - Bring this in small quantity too, rice is available here. ( Parboiled Rice in regular stores, available at Walmart too)

4. Semo, - We have semo here but you can come with small quantity of semo to have something to eat before you get stabilized.

5. Wheat - Same remark with semo

6 Garri, - Garri is available at African Store but not cheap for a newbie so come with enough garri .

7. Ground Pepper - This is available at regular stores but you can come with it, put in a ziplock bag and label it.

8. Egus i(grounded one) - By all means, please come with this.

9. Palm Oil - I am not so sure about carrying this but you will really need palmoil here. You can plan to buy your palm oil here because the way they throw bags at the airport, you wont want your stuff to get stained badly. Though i see gist of people that travel with palmoil.

10. Groundnut Oil, - No need buy your groundnut oil in Canada. It is cheap here. They sell at Walmart.

11. Maggi,- Pour all your maggi in a Ziplock bag and label it

12. Dry Catfish, - I am not sure of catfish but you can come with dried fish. Put all in Zip lock bag and label.

13. Salt - No need, salt available here and very cheap.,

14. Turning stick - Yes,

15 Shea butter (Ori) - Yes.

16. Tomato paste.- No need.

Additions:

* Drugs for Malaria, cold and headache - Come with enough medications.
* Screen protector - come with spare ones maybe 5 or 6.
* Nightware /pyjamas that covers your body head to toe - ( you might struggle with the cold at your initial arrival period before getting used to it).
* For food, items like Amala, ogbono, poundo, fufu , ewedu, garri are only available at African stores and not cheap for someone new in the system so you can prioritize those and take small quantity of the rest.

I hope this helps you.

I really appreciate this, thank you so much.

Pls is there anyone that travel to Vancouver recently or anyone have an idea how to get a direct flight that only transit through one Schengen country from Lagos to Vancouver. All my flight search are transiting through two Schengen countries and I read it somewhere that you will need Schengen visa if your flight is transiting between two European countries.

Trust everyone is doing great...

I got a refusal letter yesterday after ircc sent correspondence letter two days ago..

Refusal was based on 1.assets and financial status and 2. Travel history.

I ordered for my Gcms notes a week ago, will the notes carry the concerns of the V.O. since I was updated just yesterday? Or I will need to order a new one

So sorry about the delay, approval is certain in your next application IJN.

I would like to add that the noodles shouldn't have chicken flavor.

You may want to be careful with dried meat too, except if commercially packaged.

For emphasis you must return ur your scheduled return date becos they will only give a grace of few days thats what they do. And after that they start annoucing that you are fraud and you know the world is a global village. This womt be good for your image even in canada so please reason the matter well

So in other word now, someone should avoid PTA totally.

Toronto to vancouver is more than 4 hrs

Ok I will just have to book direct flight to Vancouver. Also, reading through your profile now I can see where you made mention the consequences attached to PTA, I’m planning to apply on Monday. But you said someone must come back on the day of his/her return ticket…..if not CBN is claimed it as fraud… Can you pls emphasize on that pls.

Please how long before they send letter of acceptance.. my application is 3 months long and counting??

Does your courses required Portfolio assessment? In all sha I think NSCC admission nah long tinz, in my own cases I submitted my application around July 2021, after zoom interview with the faculty lecturer and everything, I was even told that have passed the admission requirement, still took them 5months before they send my Acceptance letter but before then another college as given me admission have even submitted my study permit application. I would advice you to apply to another college while you wait for NSCC decision.

Thou, I chatted Vfs Rep this morning and they said my passport is in transit from Visa office to them. When will I receive my LOI?
