amila20042001:Use LemonadefinanceApp, once you get here the process is pretty easy. Alternatively, you can also apply for maintenance/Upkeep using form A which may take many weeks to be approved. |
Good day everyone, I submitted VV for my spouse in May, but have yet to receive a response; the last time I went to my MP office (MP inquired, and he stated that everything was completed and passed), but have yet to receive a request from IRCC. The reason I want my spouse to come on VV is to give birth. That must be the reason for the delay. Even if the VV was approved now, I don't need it again because my baby is already two months already. I'm about to submit Sowp and VV for my Baby. So here are my questions & concerns, I made a mistake on my spouse's Date of Birth when I submitted her VV. I accidentally typed 1991 instead of 1990. I found out about this three days after I applied, at first, I wanted to cancel the application, but they'd already sent me a Biometric instruction letter, so I didn't bother. I quickly raised the webform and emailed to address the issue, and I immediately ordered Gcmsnotes. When the note arrived, I discovered that they had already reviewed my date of birth (New Value). BUT, I've been checking her biometrics status on the CIC website to see if it's been updated, but it always says not found when I enter her information with the correct DOB (1990), but when I enter the incorrect DOB (1991), it shows her status as Valid. My people, Pls, what should I do? Should I let her go for another biometrics, OR keep sending an email to IRCC for the update, OR should I leave it that way? Thanks in advance. |
Seyicar:The only assistance you can render for the new applicants right here is to post your timeline and documents submitted. |
johnstan:Well, the house search and cost depend your province, and luck also play it own role. I live in BC where rental is brutal. So, before you travel, start communicating with someone you know who lives in your school's province. There are also some communities on Facebook/IG where you can meet your 9ja fellow. If you have family or friends in your province who are willing to help you narrow down your house search + cost, that's a plus. If you can't get any of this, before or when you arrive, you can book an AirBNB for two weeks and begin your house search (Facebook market place, Craigslist, etc.). Don't book AirBNB for 2/3 days. ooo, because you rarely get an immediate move in rent in Canada, the most common move in dates are the first or fifteenth of the month. |
jaydave:I know right lol people wan move before resumption, but to be candid, you need to plan well, imagine arrived 3months before your resumption, you started balling, paying rent if at all you were lucky to get a room self, most stay at AirBNB which it’s lot of money, buying groceries, you will start eating foodstuffs you bring from 9ja ooo, foodstuffs that suppose to last you for atleast a semester or two EXCEPT you have a families/friends who is already here to settle you IN softly, even if at all they want to helped you, coz most friends and families will want you to pay your own bills, then go let you that no be den send you come Canada. I came in a month before my resumption, when I calculated how much I already spent, just for a month ooo without working heeeeeheee. In a nutshell, I'm not discouraging anyone who want to resume early, just make sure you have a legitimate reason, also put some other factors in place. |
yusmuf001:We've talked about it several times here! It is not illegal or offensive to arrive before your start date, but you must have a genuine reason if questioned by a CBSA officer about why you arrived so early. Another factor is your living expenses. Let me tell you something, once you cross the border into Canada, bills await you, REMEMBER you will start spending $ not naira again ooo, and you can't start working until your school resumes. So one month before resumption is still ideal, and you can settle in within that time frame. If you have huge POF & living expenses (money), well, that’s won’t be a problem. |
lookers191:Hi lookers191, Firstly, your POF doesn't limit to any provided amounts, you can actually show more than if you have it, but just make sure you prove that those funds are readily available. |
lookers191:Yes use oanda. |
nosaidiake:Send an email or raise a webform to Nairobi to find out what's wrong with your application. Second, I hope you did not submit any fake documents, because after your passport request, IRCC sometimes conduct a final check on your documents before stamping, particularly financial bank statements. |
Olayinkaji:They request an English proficiency test from you because of your pass grade in English course on your university transcript. If you are applying for a PostDip or PostCertificate programme, most schools will look at your grades in any English courses. So, if you are still interested in the programme at Durham College, send them an email and they might give you the option of taking the Duolingo test, which is much easier to take and less expensive than IELTS. |
Olayinkaji:That mean you didn't do well in your English! what grade do you have in English in your Waec? Are you going for a diploma prog or PostG-Dip? |
Clean4sureme:You can order another note while you wait for the previous one, but this time order CBsa notes. I don't think it will be a problem, but you can notify your school about the outcome of your application and inform them that you will reapply as soon as possible. What was the general response to your refusal? |
Clean4sureme:Sorry about that, please order your Gcmsnotes to find out why. Repackage and reapply as needed. I prayed your next application will be approved. |
Am08020407288b:It is normal to receive BVL without PPR. So be positive about the outcome because a decision has already been made on your application. Keep sending emails to remind IRCC. All the best. |
Profgordons:You would need a Schengen visa if you were transiting through two EU countries. So look for KLM or another flight that only has one stop at EU countries. Safe flight. |
TiggyAce:If that is your priority, then look for another school. Toronto School of Management doesn't have any program that eligible for PGWP. Furthermore, Make sure any school you are interested in have an approved program for PGWP. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html |
7COLOURS:Congrats in advance |
amila20042001:Yes, you can use your existing Gckey. |
Good day Everyone. I’m about to submit SOWP for my wife and my newborn baby. Did anyone know if a month-old baby and a nursing mother will need medical? I’m worried about the X-ray for a breastfeeding mom. Anyone in my situation |
Fetengrn:Yes, proceed with your upfront medical. despite the fact that no one knows how IRCC works. However, if you pass the eligibility requirement instead of receiving a medical request, it is PPR straight. |
Lionfx:Hi Lionfx, I don't school in Conestoga, But your acceptance fee payment instructions should be included in your offer letter. If you have the full-year tuition fee, I will recommend you pay because it demonstrates your financial ties (POF) as a BF student. All the best. |
Godsmercy565:Lol. I know right. Why are you going to spend your living expenses, lol? I recommend that you use those months to do something productive, such as learning something new online or learning some handwork, May will be here before you know it. |
Godsmercy565:Why not wait until your program's start date, May is here already lol Well, you know the best reason for and why changing your program. Contact your school, they will advise you on what to do and determine whether you meet the requirements for the new program. |
Godsmercy565:You are welcome. Is your application approved? If YES. Enter Canada first before changing your program. Most schools helps change your program, and it won’t affect your tuition payment. However, you will still fulfil some requirements before being accepted into some new program. |
Debzbetapikin:Hi Debzbetapikin, 1. Open work permit. 2. Nothing like NSE again, just submit the right documents and hope for the best. 3. Take your time and read through the first page of the thread, You will find all of the information you require for General advice (dos/don’t). You can still asked questions for further enquiry right here. Best wishes. |
Godsmercy565:You certainly can. Just ensure that you speak with your international student advisor/International student office at your DLI before making any changes. |
bepositive11:Don’t take it too personal, it’s not a big deal, I know someone(more than one) that got married after their application was submitted, and it was approved. This could have an impact on her SOWP application if the moniker doesn’t notify IRCC about his new marital status. Even if you just had a new born baby, you can still notify IRCC about the additional to your family. So SoftdudeKay, Go ahead and inform IRCC but draft LOE to explain your situation better to the visa officer (Explain how your spouse is so dear to you, and you just want to fulfilled the love you have for him/her before going to Canada for study, and at the end of your authorized stay you will be very happy to return back to him/her). This also demonstrates good family ties. I stand to be corrected. Here is the trick send an email and webform twice a day for a week to (Nairobi). Then order your Gcmsnotes the following week. Also, wait for other gurus opinion as well. All the best. |
SoftdudeKay:Hi SoftdudeKay, Send a webform to Nairobi, and also send an email too. https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=Nairobi nrobi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca nairobi@international.gc.ca nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca I recommend that you write a LOE to help the officer understand your situation (when you apply, you are single and recently married...............). Merge the LOE, marriage certificate, newspaper publication, and court affidavit. I would also recommend that you include an identity document of your spouse, such as a NIN or an international passport. All the best. |

kennyjoy:Good day to all mama in house! Firstly, I will like to appreciate everyone contributing to thread. So far, So Good. My wife was put to bed last 2weeks (A baby girl). but a challenge comes up which I believe God is in control. 2days after we discover she had jaundice and her bilirubin is high. She was placed on phototherapy immediately for 72hrs there about, she get better and discharged. Everything was fine. She got immunized 9days after, the next day after the immunization my wife call me that our baby is vomiting some hours after breastfeeding but not that much I told her to call our Gynecologist, and the hospital immediately. But we were its normal for baby to vomit that's she still getting used to the feeding. The vomiting continue for 3days. We call our Gynae again and she said it's normal. Though our baby doesn't have High Temp, No fast breathing, She was breastfeeding, and everything is okay but just the vomiting and it getting too much. But So I couldn't take it again, I told my wife to take to our baby to hospital immediately. When she get to the hospital and run a blood test for her. We were told she was diagnosis with infection and MP...2weeks old baby for that matters. I challenge the hospital on phone coz am not around....Why don't you guys treat everything before she was discharge. Anyways, she got admitted and she's on drip. This vomit (greenish vomit) still continue till the next morning. I speak with the Dr in the hospital on phone but their response doesn't go well with me, as my baby need expert management. So I told them to get me a referral letter so we can go to a General hospital where we can see a Pediatrician. When will get to General Hospital, they attending to my wife. My baby was admitted and she's on drip, we get everything they needed to us to get, and they told her she's going to stop breastfeeding her for 24hrs, and she will only be on drip. So on Sunday morning, the pediatrician notice my baby cough, and insert some Tube from her nose to drain some content from her stomach, and they recommend we do a abdominal scan immediately. We went to get it done, and the results came out, everything is fine, but the impression show she her enemy as a (Mild Gastrits). We started breastfeeding her again as instruct by the Dr. This time she'l doesn't vomit and we are happy. However, she still vomiting small small but not like before especially the time interval. The reason for my long message is am just worried and I know I could get some insight from here regards to the situation. I believe God will take control! As the hospital is trying their best too. (Plesee excuse all my grammatical blunder) |
Uchenation:Hi Uchenation, Firstly, I must commend your agent on his or her truthfulness. Secondly, could you please refrain from using the word (altered) in this thread. That being said, in the past, some IRCC officers or people associated with them do read on this platform, and this route you are about to take, as well as your post, is the reason why IRCC go more finding by scrutinising most Nigerian applicants, causing delays in their applications. When it comes to Canada visa applications, financial false statement is a serious offence that will result in a ban. Please do not do this. Finally, take your time building your POF or looking for someone to sponsor you. To be honest, you will need money to settle in softly in Canada. Best wishes. |
Cadygosh:You are completely correct!!! I saw one responding to a moniker question a few weeks ago. I just shake my head and can't respond because Canada study&work has already given most of us a new direction, and everyone is busy right now. This thread is a good source of information, I learned a lot from it during my visa application. Please, Frank, Makano, Justmellow, and Anon123, we need you guys back here coz this immigration game will need up- to-date information. I wish everyone who is waiting for PPR goodnews soonest, as well as those who have been delayed, please don't give up, repackaged, and refired. This trip to Canada was well worth it. Best wishes!!! |
