so many free flow writers, clowns, skeptics and antagonists! right again, clown (pgm, opoks, adrian, You), free flow writers (adrian, the godfather, opoks, lindiwe, You d list many o), skeptics (uche, You, many odas), antagonists (abussyaya, opoks and many odas still)
Lindiwe: Opoks, You know it isn't my intent to start a fight here, no, never! u sure How come u dey accept only one invitation?? abi u go accept invitation from all the successful guys on this thread there you're!!! , i ddnt think so?
You're very right, i'm from 'home', east of Naija Though my name (Lindiwe) is a South African name meaning 'a long awaited child'. but in this case, a long awaited young lady! Who knows, i might be the long awaited bearer of the long awaited good news on this thread, lol! opoks, i can just imagine the glow on your face right about now. , oleeee!!!
I would like us all to ponder over the piece below over the weekend; who knows
This is an absolutely incredible interview with Rick Warren, author of "Purpose Driven Life" His wife now has cancer, and he now has "wealth" from the book sales. In the interview by Paul Bradshaw with Rick Warren, Rick said:
"People ask me, "What is the purpose of life?" And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven. One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the end of my body – but not the end of me. [color=#000099]i no go lie to u, this piece got mi goin though i had seen it before, lindiwe you're family , believe mii
Cheers all! Keep the spirit high!
You all will be remembered in my prayers and offerings to God! God bless u "long awaited one", u hear Nice weekend once again!
Thank God it's Friday! u don't know how much it means to mii!!!
well, i really don't hav much to say, just to wish us all d best and encourage u guys to continue wit d effort. its always refreshing to read about someone's thoughts and expectations on this NLNG issue. nne, if after all u v said, u still say u really don't av much to say, na im b say u b spirit o!!!
so, ride on and safe! AMEN SISTA!!!!!kuwena link=topic=48041.msg1540674#msg1540674 date=1190996244:
You guys make me cry shamelessly whenever I read this thread. I m crying as i read this!!!!
Opokonwa, I love you; I long for the day I will meet you. You are a big boost to this thread; a veritable catalyst. I could never have done what you have as Leader. Wandel, I am proud of you. My dad read Economics at the University College, Ibadan, but he did not make a first class. That you did what he could not do probably means you are greater than he. .
Tolagbaju, able first classer and proud NLNG hopeful, I salute you. It is not easy to be you: unique, ambitious, intelligent. You remind me of Achebe's Nza, who felled all the spirits across the seven seas. Only in your case, you will not be so foolhardy as to wrestle your chi. Your destiny is so bright, we may have to wear shades to look at it. Kenosky, like you I am addicted to this thread. We speak of a Nigeria they probably never thought possible. We tell them, 'We are your brothers, and yet see what we have achieved. We are young, but we have pushed out our chests as if quarreling with the wind. We have damned the consequences to prove us men; we have braced the glowing heights. And if we can, you too can.' I am filled with hopeful joy. So let my heart run the race of nymphs, skipping wide and far, berthing tides akin to the breaths of the shadoofs of Egypt in glowing summer; jumping in friskiness like the lambs, and coursing the hills like Maria, with the chirping of the birds in their chorusing after the coming eves. In my heart will now resound the magical ululations of peaceful exhultation, unabashed and unafraid of future strife reminding me of the fact that I came from dust, and it is there I will return. Kuwena, who really are You You speak as if possessed by the spirit of the sage, your eloquence transcends realms i have previously only imagined (and i m not exaggerating); your fluidity (and i thot adrian wuz fluid) baffles mi and makes mi wonder "Is this really a product of a naija school
When I see you all do what you do, and inspire me by it; what spirit, or what man can tell me, 'Be still'? I will be what I will.
I love you all. bro, we love u too

kuwena: Making a first class degree in the university is not the guarantee to be successful in life. , u no lie broda!!!!
Almost anyone can make a one-one, , u sure ?
by doing the things one-one candidates do. , which is ??
First classers are not the best of brains around, and I do know that if I had not studied Mass Communication (the one course I am most gifted at) I may never have made a first class. (You cannot expect me, for example, to have read Economics and made a first.) , the unique thing about 1st classers is dat they make their courses appear very simple, it still baffles mi too o!!!
Mass Communication is like second nature to me. I will do my master's degree in it, and as well my PhD. Indeed, while still an undergraduate, I patented four hypotheses, that are yet to be fully researched into, and called new theories in Mass Communication. They are: 1. Operational communicationism: 'The dispersion of the self, consequent on the facets of the self, transactional of the self, and for the purpose of the actualization of the self'. 2. Ontological classification of the history of newspapers in Nigeria (the era of Authenticism). 3. A history of public relations development, through 5 paradigms (Corporateness, Concern, Transcendence, Duty and Perpetuity), and 4. Advanced methods of computational Mass Communication research (making use of scale tables and weight numbering). , professor kuwena!!! 21 gun salute for u
Mass Communication is really fun, and many will find their destiny in it. I have. This is why I tell everyone to read the course they are gifted in. When I was entering the university, the family wanted me to do Law. I said no, that I wanted to do Mass Communication. And they let me be. I do recall that those days, when I was in year one or two, the teacher would be telling us something, maybe about rural community newspaper development or something else, and I would turn to my seat mate and say, 'Watch; the next thing he will say is that almanacs may be a substitute for journals in the event of a lack of infrastructure.' My seat mate would say, 'You must have read it in a textbook.' Which I hadn't. And sure as hell, the lecturer would say that thing! I used to have recurring deja vu's like these; as if in a past life, I had been a Mass Communication student, and I was doing it all over again. As if I had heard some particular lectures before, though I never could recall where I had heard them. So, doing Mass Communication was very easy. , a guru through and through!!!
Whether I read or I did not read, I was sure to get an A. I am also the first human being in the history of the existence of Mass Communication in IMO STATE UNIVERSITY, OWERRI to make a first class in the course, and the best graduating student of three joint convocation ceremonies (1999/2000; 2000/2001; 2001/2002). One may confirm from Exams and Records Department of that school. I stand to be challenged on this. , I v found out that 1st classers are not the best jackers, i wuz faculty president, DOS in 3rd year, PRO in 2nd year, and did i also mention dat i dey go church well well
I hope I have not blown my trumpet unnecessarily. If I have, I humbly beg for pardon and peace.
May God bless you all. Amen. , abeg, if u get trumpet make u blow am cos im no easy at all, i hail u and all oda wonderful folks on the LNG train

tenor: I really took time out to read all replies. Gosh my eyes hurt.
Everyone has helped in one way or the other. Some have gone religious, ethical, and moral while some few have just shown NAIRALAND the bad advice they'll give to their daughters, sisters and mothers.
But in all these, no one has given her given her another option in terms of an alternative job opening!
Now to the poster: Post your qualifications (no matter how little) here and also post what kind of jobs you are expecting and lets see what can be done. Also create a new email account (seperate from the regular one you use) and attach it to the post. You can be reached on that one.
I'm not promising anything but it wont hurt trying. Its easier to say NO to this NAZI veteran (the German guy) if there is hope for alternative jobs.
This forum should be useful for uplifting people, rather than arguing and putting down people. Thanks! adrianic: kenosky,
your answer came at the right time.i don been wan attack u . , u r a lawyer, i no surprise 9ur intent wuz to attack the person and not the issue? hmmmmmmm!!!!
i get issues with bankers o because somehow i happen to deal with them on a daily basis. , dont need a prophet or sootsayer to tell mi na i can't stand the way your guys and girls maltreat or is it mistreat people they think do not have enough cash.
i went to that over blown bank called oceanic yesterday with my boss.we went to withdraw like 1.8 million because he wanted to go pay for tickets at British Airways for himself and his family travelling very soon, kenosky, see respect. , i didnt hear u say the ZEN!!!!
assuming say keyboard or piano dey for there, this people for give us special number not considering that we were withdrawing o.i know how much my boss has there sha. , two legs good, four legs bad (ANIMAL FARM!!!
but i still saw a customer "raking" for one of the attendants. , even the most couteous banker gets a piece of acidity from vitriolic customers- believe mii
sometimes in march ,my boss just bought over a hotel in kano.the last management had nearly stolen the place dead.so the owner virtually sold the place out.so i was, in company of two other people, to go restructure the place, sack staff, recruit new ones, among others and come back 2 abuja within two months. , u follow dey sack people ??
while there, there was this day i went to send momsy some cash.i no know whether me and d girl fight for her dream dt night or she never see half caste(who dash me?)before, this girl just frowned her wowo face and refused to attend to me.
i no too tall o but at least i no short.she just acted like i did not exist.and i fine pass her papa o.
after standing for like 15mins and men queue plenty,i asked her to attend to me she just mumbled some words and left.she came back within 50 seconds though but by then i had lost it. , u broke the cardinal rule- u let a SHE get to u!!! no denying dat sha, some babes can b bitchy, d guys no too dey act like dat sha- maybe we r beta at masking our feelings and u sabi say we no get those many mood swings- u know na!!!!
i stopped transactions in that bank for like 10minutes.my voice was reverberating in the banking hall.that was when the maga now started speaking softly and saying something like "sir,i only told u to exercise some patience,dt i would be with u in a moment"(bankers too can lie 15, minutes na a moment) , actually, bankers are not the first to kall 15 minutes "in a moment" but then i dont make any excuses for dat lady, though i for like hear her own side of the story (no b wetin the law talk ? )
i tore the teller and threw everything at her table.it took the manager to calm me down. , u get violent nature o!!!!
i still left without paying in the cash there.
but that girl did a disservice to dt bank because even if i become d richest man in this world,i will never put my money in dt bank.i don't even watch bank adverts.i see them all as lies.their staff are never as polite as they show us on tv.
how i wish nigeria was safe,i will be keeping my money in my house and maybe ask my mom to hide some in her bra for me(i like old school momsy them sha).
i am sure u will say dt alone is not enough to judge but apart from me,i have seen d worst side of bankers unleashed on poor customers dt don't know their rights. , true, adrian, try Zen na, u ll av a testimony to give!!!!
i have a bosom friend currently in Bank PHB training school at V.I Lagos.i asked him what they were learning and he said basically accounting procedure and other academic stuff. , are u sure he's in training school cos i v been to FBN (spent 6 months with the big elephant) and den Zen training schools and the bulk of wat is thot is customer service (i mean it!!!)
he did not even mention any intense course in customer relationship.
the customer is no longer king of business,he is indeed the LIFE of any business.abi opoks, have i not spoken well? buroda, i no expect opoks to get different view from u afterall im don talk am b4 say im gat ur back !!!! so need to ask am weda u neva yarn well, i dey wait to hear from una, Uchcelly and oda bankers in the house, abi wetin una feel |

A a, don't blame them, na their papa land( i don't know why my surname isn't Dokubo, Harry or some other NLNgacious name). These guys are assured of a good no. of slots (don't have the exact figure) and a whole lot of the technician jobs on the plant go to them as well,
, hmmm! remember we need to take care of the host community, no b small mata o!!!!
The good news is that we may be having more than 70 people taken. The coys setting to expand operations and they had to revise estimations due to the demand for staff from most of the depts. That's part of the hold up, i heard, so let our hearts beat faster,
God bless u Jill, ur days shall b long, more grease abi na palm oil to ya elbow
@ samuelokun, i say welcome to the thread.
night all
oga sam, i join all man in welcoming u aboard the train, i posted first just last week but already it feels like ages, no b small mata o |

[b]adrianic, u flatter mi; my poetic justice wuz just flows inspired by the great defense minister (apologies kuwena) Mararaba, nassarawa- i served in that state man and mararaba na heaven compared to the squalid conditions obtainable in some oda parts of the state, believe mi yet then den gov was junktting around the globe with baba himself!!! . Opoks, kuwena, pgm, and all d oda believers on this thread, d waiting is almost over, Chelsea fans, accept my sympathy but i still maintain this is justa tip o the iceberg, Kuwena, them say u were best in your whole school, abeg which school be that because i musta missd out on that, i started yarning when i saw that all man had come to terms with reality; thrashing oda issues of national interest rather than dwelling on LNG wey we don already sabi say we go get for bonny!!!! I m tired after another busy day at the Zen of banking and i say 2mrw is another day and onwards ever, backwards never, kudos all ya'll winners!!!!@uchcell, pls dont go gaga cuz we need u in top shape, @graces, u much, @jill, how jack abi no b u and am go up the hill to fetch the pail of water? adrianic (aka mappy) one luv, good nite luvly peeps, we go get 2mrw again cuz i av to rest so i can work well 2mrw!!!
