I would like to inform Nigerians that Kenya is a beautiful and among africa's top tourist, e-commerce, technological and getway to east & central africas most developed economy. The Nairobi stock exchange is among the most traded above nigeria's. Kenya boasts of road infrastracture & air transport that Nigeria can only envy. The governance, judicial and legislative structure is far mature than nigeria's rotten one. The democratic space that is guaranteed by a people driven constitution makes nigeria look like a country taking baby steps... |
Nigeria and its people ![]()

Since it seems am trying to explain to a dump guy what i mean't... The institution that i work for has the sole jurisdiction on where i go chooses the route i use.. If it really makes you uncomfortable you can complain to anyone you dim fit. And please try addressing something better like alleviating poverty in Nigeria instead of wondering why i decided to travel on my money and with our national carrier( Kenya airways). |
I don't need to explain anything about nothing.... I can choose any route i want and if you were that bright you could have seen the "diplomatic passport" i inserted in that sentence...... |
Kibera slum dwellers move to new houses Kibera slum residents on Wednesday finally moved in to their new houses in Nairobi's Highrise estate. After loading their belongings onto National Youth Service trucks, the families waited patiently before Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who is also their area MP, arrived to flag them off at 1pm.....http://www.nation.co.ke/News/-/1056/659228/-/umw0ll/-/index.html For those Thomases that are doubtfull that Kenya is way better than Nigeria can check out for themselves...

SLUM UPGRADE PROGRAM Below is the governments vision 2030 of upgrading slums to modern structures and improvement of services.... In the background are the new houses that house the former slum dwellers.... Before you start verbally embarrassing yourselves i would like ascertain that most Nigerians assume that since there is nothing positive coming out of Nigeria then other countries are similar to their poor country. I am going to state some points that might really hurt those of you that think KENYA can be ever compared to Nigeria in terms of living standards. Kenya is home to more than 5 million refugees and the UN has reiterated that 10,000 refugees enter Kenya's border every day. Kenya shares borders to not less than 8 countries and due to its economic and socio-political stability it is every African's countrymen to be part of Kenya's growth.

I am sorry to break your heart guys. South africa is BIG in every way. Be it big brother, big economy, big investment, big money, big infrastructure and even big yansh wink lol. Anyway truth be told Nigeria is trailing in every aspect of social, economic and political class except, well, giving birth. The big uncontrolled birth rate aside, Nigeria hasnt moved beyond her borders to establish any big economical invesment outside Nigeria. Compare this to Kenya's superior international offshore investments. Among this investments are:- -Telecommunication sector (safaricom mobile), -Financial sector ( Kenya commercial bank in south sudan, Uganda, rwanda etc) -Supermarket franchises ( Nakumatt hypermarket, Uchumi hypermarket in all east african countries) -Transport business( simba coach, Mash Auto, Easy coach, Intercontinental Bus company) operating in all east, central and southern African countries. -Air transport (Kenya airways which is international, Fly 540 which is regional, Easy jet)etc. This is just a few of the many organizations that the Kenyans have managed to put their interests in. Lets just say KENYA also plays a big Sister role to nigerias future cheesy |
Most of you who doubt Kenya and east Africas beauty can check this.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Cxm7IWVhn0&list=PL209960290B9462B1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fe3WGtLSv3U&list=PL209960290B9462B1 KENYA ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
At least i can safely say that with time some reply's here are getting more sensible compared to the hostile ones that were there before... Chinedu is not a saint as most of you here are portraying him, he has been the main link of powerful Nigerian cartel of drug trafficking between Nigeria-Kenya-South Africa. The reason why he was not prosecuted and which raised eyebrows is that powerful Nigerians that he works for were always intervening on his behalf. He was a holder of a diplomatic passport thus enjoying diplomatic immunity. The deportation of nigerians involved in drug trafficking was in the works when Good luck Jonathan came for Kenyas presidential inauguration. The matter was extensivley discussed and a solution was reached that all suspected drugs dealers would be deported back to Nigeria. The deportation was done in a transparent and legal way and cut across different nationalities and not only Nigerians were involved as Chinedu tried to show. Why dont you ask yourself if chinedu was really into clean business, his wife went to court during there divorce hearing and gory images of domestic violence, drug abuse and illegal activities were part of the drama that was involved during the court hearing. Most Nigerians in Kenyan jails are mostly former Chinedu drug mules but due to their lack of money they end rotting in jail. All of the seem to mention him as a contact every time they are caught but due to his economic might he always manages to bail himself out. Instead of blaming Kenya why dont you sift through his words carefully and see the anger and bitterness with which he curses the country that provided opportunity for him for 20 years. The property he purports was disposed from him is being held in trust for his children after the divorce case ruled in favour off the childrens future. Other properties that the government repossessed were classified as government property after the law provides that any property got from illegal activity can be repossessed by the government. Most of what he calls a 5 star hotel was a conduit for Money laundering and basically lacked any facility that can classify it as a 5 star hotel. The "hotel" rooms were refuge centers for drug mules on transit to other countries. When the audit of all properties he purports to have were done during his divorce case millions of tax evasion cases were unearthed thus raising the governments suspicion that he was dealing in illegal businesses. SO ALL OF YOU DEFENDING HIM SHOULD GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT.... Kenya is a country that provides opportunities to all legitimate business people and its beauty is unrivaled to any in africa, NOT EVEN POOR NIGERIA can beat this https://www.nairaland.com/51356/nairobi-photos-kenya-beautiful-east |
^^^^^ I cant blame you for your ignorance and condescending arrogance.... I have been to Nigeria en-route to Abu dhabi and it was one of the worst experiences i had ever thought i could go through. I was actually detained for almost 12 hrs just because i couldn't part with something small( bribe) for that matter. The airport/airstrip was like a market zone with people haggling and hawking stuff. The washrooms were so dirty and the lift actually kept breaking down. I felt so humiliated with the immigration staff who were speaking in poor English kept shifting me from one individual to the other. Despite me having a diplomatic passport they insisted that i open my luggage and there is when all hell broke loose. My entourage and colleagues demanded the person who was in charge and that is when they started telling us a bull and cock story about security issues and crap. To cut the long story short i guess Nigeria is one hell hole that you dont want to visit...... |
KENYA AND ITS SUPERIOR MILITARY MIGHT... I would not like to under estimate Nigeria and Nigerian's in anyway but comparing it to Kenya in military parlance is taking a joke too far. Kenyan's military presence has and will only be for the betterment and enhancement of East and Central Africa's security concerns. https://www.nairaland.com/51356/nairobi-photos-kenya-beautiful-east/133 . The Kenyan state and its security apparatus is equal to non in Africa considering the fact that it has single handedly fought off the terrorism and decay in government security in Somalia. It has managed in liberating what was thought to be impossible to be achieved. Currently the development being witnessed in Somalia is significant in that it might end up overtaking countries like Nigeria due to its strategic location as the horn of Africa. Kenya is home to millions of refugees who have been displaced by war. Victims from as far as Rwanda, Uganda, Angola, Somalia, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Sudan and Chad have found refuge and security in Kenya due to their internal conflicts. The UNHCR has estimated that thousands of Nigerians are in Kenya either seeking asylum or living illegally. Kenya is doing far better in economic terms compared to Nigeria with Kenya boasting of the best infrastructure which includes a very good road network.... https://www.nairaland.com/51356/nairobi-photos-kenya-beautiful-east/128 . I dont want to brag but despite you guys boasting of the millions of dollars you get from oil revenue, how much actually benefits the common man in Nigeria. You can even go the step further and suggest that a single state in Nigeria has the GDP of Kenya. But can you compare that with what Kenya has enhanced with the little it gets. Britain has no Oil but it is far Richer than Nigeria. UAE has no oil but in only a decade it has managed to prove that with sustainability you can surpass expectations of other countries. TO THOSE WHO STILL DOUBT THAT KENYA IS A COUNTRY ECONOMIC MOBILITY CAN CHECK FOR THEMSELVES.... https://www.nairaland.com/51356/nairobi-photos-kenya-beautiful-east I wonder why the KENYAN currency is stronger than Nigerian currency... giANT of Africa indeed!!!!!! |
Nigeria is still a baby compared to kenya..... Whatever index you give about kenya we as kenyans appreciate our country. How many kenyans do you think are in Nigeria, coz we have enough in Kenya.... For all you that want proof you can check https://www.nairaland.com/51356/nairobi-photos-kenya-beautiful-east |
Those hating KENYANS for being what they love and enhancing their culture are just being ignorant of the fact that Kenya is way better than they can ever be..... Having a space program or whatever you suggest as car assembly factory, what value does manufacturing add to the common man's state of affairs. Kenya and the people of this beautifull people and its government are rebuilding the country to prosperity for the benefit of its future generations.... take a look,

NIGERIANS ABUSING KENYA'S HOSPITALITY. Kenya is an economic powerhouse in africa and probably among the best emerging economies in the world... You can take a look at what kenya offers before giving unsolicited comments. Nigeria might be large in Numerical population but very backward and archiac both in economy and social life. https://www.nairaland.com/51356/nairobi-photos-kenya-beautiful-east . Chinedu knows that going back to Nigeria is like going to his grave. The opportunity that Kenya provides Nigeria could never grant him. This Chinedu guy must be one of the most stupid guy in the all world for insulting the hand that fed him for the past 20 years. Chinedu has been involved in drug trafficking and the governments efforts to deport him were long overdue due to abusing the court process. Chinedu was facing a number of criminal cases and was in April arrested in his house with 10 grammes of heroin that he is believed to have either been using or intended to traffic. The arrest followed an operation carried out in the city centre in which two men including a Nigerian national were nabbed for trafficking heroin. The men were identified as Nelson Namunyu Mwangi who was found with 268 grams of heroin and Nigerian national Adebiyi Oluwatosin Fatai who had 20 grammes of the drugs. They were arrested outside a popular club with the narcotics. Police say the two have been behind several incidents of drug trafficking in the city and they were expected in court again on Monday for mention of their case. Cases of narcotics consumption are on the rise in the city and police are grappling with the situation. |
Nice one gallivant. I feel so good to be Kenyan. THE PRESIDENT OF KENYA Our El presidente chilling out.I was just wondering if Kenya doesn't have the hippest, coolest and digital president ever.

KENYAN REACTION TO THE "BISHOP" OYEDEPO I would like to inform you from a Kenyan's perspective that this guy will be in for a rude shock. Kenyans are one of the most conscious and skeptical Africans in the continent. A few days ago the infamous Pastor Chris Ojigbani was in the country expecting a windfall from gullible women when he was hit with the shock of his life when the millions he had spent to advertise for his Husband searching escapades were dealt a blow. The idiot started ranting and blaming the Kenyan media for the low turnout and boy had he bargained for more than he could chew. He was massacred by all the Television networks and newspaper outlets. The moral of this story is that the moment you want to start screwing anyone, especially a kenyan then prepare for an avalanche of retribution and scorn. The Kenyan mindset as a society is very much informed and any slight portrayal of a lie can really tarnish your personal standing in the society. If This other Odeyepo guy thinks he will be minting any cash from Kenyans, then trust me he will be crying not that very far from the near future. Kenyans are as hard as a rock..... |
NIGERIAN BIGOTRY What surprises me about most of you guys ranting about stolen money, taxpayers money and all that crap about theft of Nigerian wealth is making me look at Nigerians on a all new perspective, as primitive, ignorant and arrogant sublime idiots. My first observation is how do this leaders get into public offices, well through universal suffrage practiced through your constitutional and democratic right of free choice(voting). So is it in order to come here on social forums to cry wolf when the mandate you were entitled to as a voter was either grossly abused or ignored by your ignorance. Kenyans were recently given such an opportunity to freely select, vet and elect a leader of their own liking and they never disappointed. We not only defied the odds that have plagued most African countries but we sent a message across to the 1st world countries that Kenyans have their own destiny in their hands. The European union, US and a bunch of other countries were trying to impose a leader/puppet in order to advance their own interests but Kenyans went to the polls defiantly and overwhelmingly voted a leader of their choice and who understood their underlying challenges they faced as a country. It was a poll that was not only violence free but came with a myriad if challenges that we overcame tremendously thus setting an example to less democratic and pariah states like Nigeria, somalia, liberia, sierra leone and Eritrea. |
This is pure extortion that is putting even Nigeria's politician to shame on their own game. The greed is unequaled to any i have ever witnessed. That's approximately 2 million kenyan shillings but the thought of even the parents floating such an amount is purely commercializing their daughter for selfish gains. |
@gallivant I was waiting for the beautifull pictures of the expresion of unity, peace and love that kenyans exhibited during the inauguration of our new president. It was spectacular and most leaders from other countries were all amused at how kenyans seemed very patriotic.... When will you post them? |
Another nairalander......

The kenyan nation and africa should be celebrating the death of imperealism in this time and age. Kenyans just proved that africa can and still holds the mantle as the cradle of mankind and civilisation. |
Nothing is dirtier than a nigerian mouth...... |
Coming to kenya...... this guy must be insane? what is up with this nigerian dudes who think Kenya is a park where you can just walk in and out as you wish!!!! |
Bad day in the office for barca. I would just urge the milanians not to pop the champaigne yet. Nou camp(slaughter house) awaits. |
The level of intelligence of a person is measured by the displayed gallery of absurdity and vulgarity. I cant blame you as a nigerian citizen but blame the social fabric of the nigerian system. I know your bitterness comes because of the beaurocratic governce that has been the bane of corruption in your country. I just want to ask in a mature and civil way why there are a handfull of kenyans in nigeria compared to the thousands of nigerians in kenya. I assure you that kenyas economy might be small to nigerias but which country better utilises its GDP. Why is kenya making significant progress with its governance, resources and development records. Kenya is not reffered to the 4 economical pillars of africa because of its ecomical strides. Kenya overtook the EU, china and the united states as the biggest exporter of servicable goods and products in the COMESA,EAC and arab countries. It also provides the biggest man power to major coutries in the world. The kenyan country has been the center of world peace. The south sudanese people were so elated with role kenya played in resolving there 30 year war by honouring and adopting almost entirely the kenyan national flag which is similar to ours. The somalis are now busy rebuilding somalia after all the major players of AU had given up hope. The kenyan intervention has routed out what has been a thorn in the flesh for the US, AL Shabaab. Kenya is slowly turning around neighbouring countries towards economic stardom inncluding rwanda which vehemently lobbied to be in the EAC which is an org. under the patronage of kenya. This and many more are roles that kenya has played towards ascertaining that eastern african countries are propelled towards indipendence from donors. |
Nigeria is full of double standards compared to other countries. Kenya is a perfect example of how to treat foreignors, the somali refugees were granted refugee status and accomodated by the locals in nairobi enabling them build a business empire in kenya. The bustling business area is one of the biggest in africa owned by somalis outside somalia. The congolese refugees have centered their interests in the entertainment industry of music and has become the biggest. Sudanese have been given a safe place to call home in kenya. But when nigerians were given an oportunity they ended up using kenya as transit point of illegal activities. Drug barons came and stationed there base in kenya but the kenyan government has completley dismantled this cartel of trafficking of drugs and counterfiets. We can never allow foreignors to use their hosts generosity, freedom, quality of life and goodwill to be misused. Thats why kenya has pulled ahead while most countries stagnate, with the exception of nigeria which has deterioted to its worst level compared to countries like somalia which is undergoing reconstruction. |
Nigerians are the most ignorant nation despite their espoused number of graduates churned out by 3rd rate universities. I thought education was meant to help assist humans distinguish between fiction and facts, realism and imagination and truth and lies. The o.p is one guy i doubt his intellectual capacity to reason before writing. Most of this individuals propagating illuminati nonsense are mostly either unschooled, ignorant or plain stupid. This in medical lingua is acute personality disorder. The o.p is preying on peoples successes to abdictate his own failures. If you are a lazy slob and guilty about your failures just shut and work hard. |
I wonder its only nigerians who complain about their treament abroad. Most of them escaped, exiled and deported themselves out of nigeria because of the same or even worse treament. The kidnapping of foreigners in the niger delta, bombing of foreign embassies by boko haram, extortion by immigration official. Roberries targeting foreigners business interest and much more. Do you expect this to help nigerias image abroad. |
this situation clearly indicates the level of lawlessness in nigeria. the bugging question is where was the police, intelligence and community policing. the police wereclearly missing in both occasions when they were really needed. A serious lapse in the the security apparatus and its ineptness to prevent loss and damages to individuals and the economy ensures that the governments resolved to change the security situation in the country. |
