this is just absurd. thats what i call hero worshiping at its worst....the extent at which nigerians have reached is a quagmiar of no return. religion should be fully in spirituality but not the physical aspect. when this condescending acts are tolarated to the extent of throwing every acts of decency through the window, its paints a tragic view of the nigerians value to true christianity.... |
this is exactly what i said in my earlier post about manmade errors that end up costing lives. this proves that nigerians have been brainwashed into effect that all the things that happen in day to day issues are full of spiritual symbolism. the notion that every thing that happens is the devils work is actually nonsense. i respect every faith, denomination and religion but should all this be used to legitimise a crime, mistake or illegality. using religion to cover the truth only ends up costing more lives. the truth of the matter is that personal negligence on the girls part is entirely to blame. the occupants of the car were either too drunk to drive, were not putting on their safetybelts or even overspeeding. |
this tb joshua guy is a pain in the neck. it is absurd that this purported "man of god" only finds comfort in bad news. he is always issues controversial statements and never makes an effort to prevent or stop this calamities he see's. what an un-godly way to go on about his prophecies. it defeats common sense that he always has to be the one who ends up bragging that he knew that someone was going to die. this is pure mental lunacy and acute psyicologic disorder. it is a medical condition that such patients find comfort in other peoples moment of weaknes to get an advantage over their emotions. he must be suffering from anti social personality disorder. |
typical nigerian behavior.....every manmade mistake is always blamed on the devil, curses, witches and enemies. Have you spared a thought that maybe the accident was due to overspeeding, reckless driving or even the state of bad roads. the culture of aportioning blame to the devil is pure escapism. escapism in that if the problem was the state of bad roads, after castigating the devil and sending him to hell with fire to die, will you have solved the problem. after all this accusation and counter accusations.reason should be left to prevail and an inquiry be formed to ascertain the truth...... |
breaking the law, then running away from it and they expect consideration from the same institutions is absurd. canada is a country that values its populace and strictly monitors immigrants. before residing in canada any individual is taken through a stringent set of rules and regulation spelt out. they should be deported soon to curb extra tax payers more expenses. |
only in nigeria. everything always is good until you find it was not what you expected. most of you guys ate it for quite some time without any medical implication until now. accept it, change your menu, then move on. who knows maybe you are now eating crows. heheheeee. |
thanks guys for making me even more proud to be kenyan. i hope somebody will get the fanfare of the biggest football fiesta of africa between AFC vs GOR MAHIA football clubs. the pictures of both set of fans display will enhance the culture and dynamic nature of kenyas social and sporting prowess. this is a challenge to u gallivant, constatin, pendo and all the other inspiring photographers...... |
who cares if he even had children. religious tolerance is a virtue a few nigerians have. kenyan have been able to distinguish between the importance of religion in economical and social aspect. kenyans take religionas a way of spiritual nourishment not a way as a solution to there problems. the skewed view by nigerians of everything being solved by prayers, from economic activity, social and even political. you choose a corrupt leader then go on praying for a miracle that everything will change. this overdependence on prayers is what ails most of the current generation. an individual spends almost her entire 24hrs in church praying for a job while on the contrary neot applying for any job opennings advertised regularly. so guys you bettter get a life..... |
i find it odd that nigerians have come to accept lawlessness as a way of life and that there are people above the law. the kenyan system is a all lot different. in nigeria soldiers are revered, but in kenya they are servants of the people. it is rarely heard off of a soldier misbehaving against the military conduct. ministers or permant secretaries are held accountable for there misgivings either in public or official capacity. the code of responsebility is very strict to any individual holding public office. |
Nigerias obsession with being a super power or dreaming thereby is fantasy taken to the extreme. the following steps i will highlight clearly proves that:- 1. infrastructure- the countries road network is in pathetic condition, air tranport is archaic with saftey records an issue, railway system is creaking and rustic. transportation is a nightmare. 2. housing sector:- it is in shumbles with poor plannig, basic housing components are null. gabbage collection is non existent. access to housing is almost impossible. electficity is errortic. water is a pipe dream. 3. health- it is in dissaray. medicine either lacks or are fake, stolen oru expired. lack of basic healthcare facilities. affordability of healthcare. pathetic medical equipments.uderpaid hospital staff. 4.politics-it the most descripit system of governance in the world. the constitution is the most contradictory law of the land. visionless leaders. defunct separation of governance and power. corrupt politicians. dormant civil service. tribal politics.nepotism. big man syndrome. what steps have nigerians taken to lend credit towards becoming a super power. there are dozens of countries who are better of than superpower countries. newzeland, canada, japan and indonesia are few of the countries who are in the league of contention of superpower but never seen them fighting for that title. nigerians should be preoccupied with the fighti for better living condition and governance not how powerfull you are. nigeria has bigger oil deposits than botswana but has life improved for the better for the ordinary nigerian compared to any ordinary botswanans.no! bigger or super is not always better . |
it all comes to the individual efforts of nigerians. what have you guys done about it. nigeria is generaly a gabbage country. the leaders are equally of the same nature. when you definetly end up with good leaders through a transparent process then everything might end up being radically changed for the better. |
I am sorry to break your heart guys. South africa is BIG in every way. Be it big brother, big economy, big investment, big money, big infrastructure and even big yansh lol. Anyway truth be told Nigeria is trailing in every aspect of social, economic and political class except, well, giving birth. The big uncontrolled birth rate aside, Nigeria hasnt moved beyond her borders to establish any big economical invesment outside Nigeria. Compare this to Kenya's superior international offshore investments. Among this investments are:--Telecommunication sector (safaricom mobile), -Financial sector ( Kenya commercial bank in south sudan, Uganda, rwanda etc) -Supermarket franchises ( Nakumatt hypermarket, Uchumi hypermarket in all east african countries) -Transport business( simba coach, Mash Auto, Easy coach, Intercontinental Bus company) operating in all east, central and southern African countries. -Air transport (Kenya airways which is international, Fly 540 which is regional, Easy jet)etc. This is just a few of the many organizations that the Kenyans have managed to put their interests in. Lets just say KENYA also plays a big Sister role to nigerias future ![]() |
Its a pity most of you nigerians inadvertantley assume that america or obama are a solution to nigerias rot and epidemic of corruption. Kenyans learned the hardway that prosperity doesnt come easy. We literally had to fight for good governance, new constitution and a law requiring every leader to have integrity. The people driven constitution also provides a clause that enables us to send under performing leaders back to the electorate. The government has been able to initiate the biggest infrastructural upgrade of roads, rail, airports, port and new found oil wells. The biggest super highway in east/central africa is in its completion stage. The first and biggest free trade area and port in africa to rival dubai is currently underway. East/central africas biggest airport is in the process to expand and build a world class resort. Taxpaying kenyans know that it might cost alot but have to endure for a better future. Obama and america will never solve your problems. Kenya dared to dream. Kenya believed. Kenya will deliver. |
@gallivant you are an angel. we are really proud of you for doing kenya proud. those guys at the kenya tourist board should know that an ex officio member is on nairaland. we can petition the tourism ministry to consider your positive atributes to promote the kenyan tourism potential. |
due to a weak naira i think the Cbn should quickly take the initiative and start printing the new monetary tender. the value of the naira has drastically deteriorated to very low levels that can almost be equated to the zimbabwen dollar. the nigerian unit of exchange is hardly the choice of many international traders. its valuation has been enjoying poor reviews and can hardly contrast to the neighbouring states. |
this guy is filthy rich. he has been one of the most sort after artist in east africa and you guys have the audacity to insult an over achiever. he flaunts what he has coz he deserves it and owns it. he is one charitable guy i know supporting an orphanage of 200 children. he is well respected even by the high and mighty political class. his endorsement to any politician is a big plus down here. he is a self made millionaire and more so without stealing or corruption. anybody worth his salt should admit that prezzo deserves his due. |
is it reallym hard for nigerians to accept that kenya can beat them in certain aspects. what makes kenya have the fast internet is due to the governments adoption of fibre optic. kenya is the second country in africa to acquire fibre optic technology. it has also been considered the 2nd in adoption of analog to digital migration extra terrestial tv signal. kenya as also scored a first in africa by building a technological city(konza city) aptly nicknamed savanah valley. kenya is home to east and central africas biggest and most profitable homegrown mobile service provider(safaricom). it is the first company in the world to revolutionise mobile money banking and money transfer. this simply proves that kenya has the capacity to even surpus its position in tecno savvy practices. |
I totally agree with that report. Most of the guys who have never gone out of nigeria or the worlds major cities are the ones with the most indespeakable comments. Can lagos be sincerely compared to capetown, port elizabeth, paris, nairobi, xinhua, shangai and newyork. No! When it comes to basic needs like security, housing, transport, garbage and health does lagos beat any of the above mentioned cities. Stop being paranoid and start thinking about ways of improving and sustaining your city. Nairobi was once in such a pathetic state, but with its upgrading it has risen to be a model city in africa. A brand new superhighway, hospitals, bypasses, airport upgrade, good garbage collection system, slum uprading project and lots more. This proves that change can happen, albeit with the right leadership. |
I wonder why you guys are hatinng on this chick. The guy you are all dissing is very much succesfull and most celebrated artist in east and central africa. he has been a household name and despite his flows we still support his participation and representation in the BBA house.

as a kenyan business man. This odeyepo guy seems a nice guy to invest in. He has the cheapest and most petty customers/christians. Heard he has the most vunerable n gullible guys in his church. Miracles are variably priced according to needs and demand. It has a brand name so marketing wont b a problem. This is the future stock market to watch. |
nigerians are the worst hypocrates, crybabies and fools. Almost all this posts are largley aportioing blame to everyone except yourselves. This leaders u r busy castigating r the same leaders u were religously campaigning and voting for. They simply didnt get appointed but voted for by you. The public should take the initiative of demonstrating their displeasure by not voting them in. Kenyans simply became aware of their rights and have never looked back. Copy the kenya way and u will never regret... |
i was bitterly dissapointed at certain responses posted here. The issue of paying parking fees is a worldwide phenomenon. This form of revenue if well accounted for is vital in addressing development projects for the benefit of nigeria. Kenya is an exemplary perfomer and main beneficiary of such a project. Nigerians should grow up. |
I have come to acknowlegde that most nigerians are educated but lack wisdom. Kenyans were in the same cuagmayer a decade ago. TB joshua lacks the moral grounds to perpetuate a godly act, when he slapped and ended acknowlegding without a tinge of shame that he would repeat the same mundane act. Kenyan preachers were forced to be indicted into a tribunal that regulates there activites which ensures that believers are not ripped by fake churches. Currently kenyas top televangelists are either serving time for different crimes commited under the holy cloth. |
Most of this regime changes have come with worse leadership than its predicesors. A new breed of dictators are causing havoc. One such incident is charles tailor who benefited from an american backed coup de tat. He ended up massacering thousands. This western puppet president r there to protect the west's interests. Other puppets include afgahnistans karzai, iraq's leaders' & a bunch of other quasi ''democratic'' countries. Countries that defy the west are now flourishing. Angola, north sudan. |
Its now clear that most of the nigerian citizenry is suffering from an inferiority complex. The last time i checked egypt, zimbabwe, iraq & libya were fully flegded properous nations until the western countries interefered. The case of iraq, which was among the most developed country in the arab peninsula is now in ruins. Libya which was the richest & most socially habitable african country is now on the edge of a civil war. Zimbabwe was considered the food basket of south & central africa but due sanctions it has left it in absolute destitution. This countries were distabilised by western powers leaving them in ruins. Show me a single african country that has immensley benefited from america economically. |
Most of you guys criticiszing mugabe are ignorant of zimbabwe internal affairs. First, zimbabwe is one of the most beautifull, scenic cleanest countries in africa. You cannot even compare it with Nigeria. A visit to harare, capital city is like a walk in newyork. Its not only breathtaking but orderly. One of mugabes policies is to unify the country, but resistance from white minority group who still maintain apertheid role. Town like francistown r strictly white inhabited. The issue of tribalism is non existent. What is really hurting zimbabwe is sanctions not mugabe. |
I am really distressed with what the nigerians presented. The kenyan media exposed a nigerian player who had a child approximatley 8yrs old. The official response to this from the nigerian technical bench was of denials. when the expose was widely shown the nigerian delegation covetiously made a quite exit. |
Football made in Africa |
Such acts r really saddening in view of the number of loss of life. The kenyan goverment initial response to such incidences are always swift and on points. The security apparutus have elite trained squads which r similar in nature with the american system. The elite squad include flying squad(FBI), Recce group(SWAT), CID, Kwekwe squad & GSU. They r all trained in israel. |
Nigerians r a bunch of clowns. Havent u heard the notion that u deserve the kind of leaders u choose. GEJ was elected by the majority simply bcoz the majority gave him the leadership baton. It makes no sense criticising and castigate him. When u were given the chance to exercise your rights to vote, did u seize that opportunity for the betterment of your country. |
The one and only true hero is fomer president Moi of kenya. He single handedly helped sudan create a peace protocal that ended in giving birth to a new south sudan. He helped Uganda attain stable leadership against dictator idi amin. Provided refuge to somali civilians after civil war. Helped rwanda overcome the genocide and protect its citizens. Provided nelson mandela and ANC support against apartheid regime. He has done more than any african leader. |
Beautiful stadium compared to nigerias |
