25.5% Rigging would have made everybody go home happy. Just like this: SS-65%(GEJ), Buhari(3%) SE-60%(GEJ), Buhari(4%) SW-55%(GEJ), Buhari(7%) NW-20.1%(GEJ), Buhari(75%) NC-25.5%(GEJ), Buhari(71%) NE-25.5%(GEJ), Buhari(70%) GEJ & Co. would have won and Buhari & Co. would have gone home happy believing that at least the people's VOTES counted. That is what is called SELECTIVE honesty which all powerful world leaders use on a daily basis. |

Tare55: The riots in the middle east is about uprooting rulers who had been in office for decades and maintaining draconian laws to perpetuate their rule. Please communicate in a language you can comprehend and stop exposing yourself and your pay master. Those 'rulers' you referred to are like Gods when paired with your pay masters. More than 80% Nigerians live on less than $1 a day, while in those countries currently experiencing revolts, their citizens live on more than $5 a day. Besides, more than 80% Nigerians are unemployed, not to talk of bad roads, no electricity, etc. |

Abagworo: This is a revolution that will teach our leaders a good lesson on how to rig well. Many of those PDP imposed governors I'm afraid might be killed in the long run.Suicide bombing will soon enter Nigeria. All these are as a result of refusing to let the truth stand.
PDP is lucky that they did very reasonable rigging in the Southwest otherwise a greater fire would have emanated from there.I expected a reasonable rigging in the North but they rigged ridiculously. Abagworo: I expected a reasonable rigging in the North but they rigged ridiculously. Me too! How I wished the PDP had executed a Diplomatic Rigging, everybody would have gone home happy! But unfortunately, they were not so smart! |

passyjango: I agree that elections in the south east did not fully comply with electoral act. First the open-secret ballot was not fully followed. Where I voted it was possible for other voters to see the choice you have made. It is also possible for people to see voting pattern. So, if someone sees almost everyone voting for a particular party, they may follow the crowd. Then I also have it on good authority that GEJ biscuit was shared in some polling units which sounds like campaigning on Election Day. Then rigging took place after the voting with empty ballot papers being thumbprinted, these accounts for the high voter turnout in the region.
Do not get me wrong, GEJ may still have won SE and SS without rigging, but that does not justify the rigging. Here is an analogy:
Assuming someone suffering from a terminal illness is killed by someone, will the killer then argue in court that since the person will still have died anytime soon that he should not be charged for his murder. That means that our thieving politicians can argue that if they did not steal the money they are stealing now someone else would have done so. My point is that just because a crime would not have made a difference does not justify it.
The question is, while they were rigging the election, did they know they would win? They would have known they would win in SE or SS, but they may not have been sure of the rest of Nigeria. So, the aim of the rigging would have been to give GEJ as many votes as possible in the region to neutralise the effects of losses he may suffer in other parts of Nigeria.
If the man feels cheated he should question the results at least it is better than violence. For the records the elections were a lot better than 2007, but it is by no means a standard for other countries in Africa. But of course, it is easy for a people who have been in hell for too long to mistake purgatory as haven. You correct. I wonder how people would be able to think and act rationally after eating 'drugged' biscuits immediately before casting their votes! |

itsmayiela: I cast my vote in Uduaka Primary School, Mosogar, Ethiope West Local Govt Area of Delta State. The voting arrangement was horrible. There was no policeman present. No observer or journalist. No opposition party agent. The entire place was like a market place.
Any accredited person can go and collect ballot papers for as long as he/she wants. There was no check to this. The nysc lady would only check if there is ink on one's finger (which is a sign of accreditation I guess) then issues you with ballot paper.
To add to the irregularity was that, there was a PDP agent that stands by the polling booth and intimidates voters to thumbprint for PDP. The moment you're given ballot paper, his work is to collect the ballot paper from you and shows you where to thumbprint. I vehemently refused to thumbprint for PDP. They was chaos & they later discovered I am not an indigene. They allowed me to cast the vote of my choice. But when i was about putting it in the ballot box, another one of them came to thumbprint on my ballot paper thereby invalidating my vote.
I was scared and had to leave the vicinity immediately. I am not surprised that Buhari lost the election. |

Buzman: I am not surprised that the Igbos helped Jonathan to rig the last presidential election. They have always camped with the highest bidder - ego, kudi, owo or whatever you call it. The Igbos have been bought over and that's why they will never smell power in Nigeria. If you dispute this, look at when the Senate Presidency and PDP Chairmanship were zoned to the Igbos. My brother, we have forgiven the SE for this Treasonable Felony and decided to allow them produce the next president in 2035 after the turn of SW in 2027. |

Abagworo: For those cursing an innocent man, what if the CPC just like PDP reported 85% turn out in the North and 99% votes for Buhari would Southerners accept that?
Truth be told,CPC swept the North like PDP swept the South but the PDP figures of the North is stupidly inflated. When I saw 400000 for Jigawa I laughed and called all my relatives to come back home.
Imagine Buhari coming out to claim 45% of votes in Bayelsa.Nigeria never fails to amuse me. Thank you for communicating in a language people understand. |

Lagosboy: People blaming CPC for rejecting the results should be objective in their analysis. This sophisticated rigging that went on is worse than 2007 because it is not obvious to the layman. International observers stay in state capital hotels drinking beer and come to say jargons.
The SS and SE result is simply falshood and has to be rejected.
The broom that was used to beat the wife is still on the shelf for the beating of the new wife. Wait till 2015 and see sophisiticated rigging, wait till the hausas get power and see if they will release it down south, rotation is dead and buried. Well done,Sir, you said it all. The SE should wait until 2035 because the SW will take their turn in 2027. |
