HI NLanders,

I have an admission for a two-year program in canada and i want to process my study permit.

I plan to use a company - a family business in which I am a director, to sponsor my financial expenses.

Please, help me with the requirements to show that i can afford my fees, thank you.
It's funny how you keep reposting the same question even after you were told to read some pages backward. And it isn't even entirely clear to me sef...what exactly do you need??

I think you should state your available financial strength from shares to assets to SOA balances, etc (just as some people already did), and then, contributors can tell you if you're good to go or not.

Hello house please please please cic emailed and said they need custodianship lettter in less than a week or my visa will be denied, and i have contacted my university and they said the custodianship documents can only be organized by one who is in Canada already please i need your help.
Hi..

I remember everyone at home stressing about this custodian issue for my bro as well...it seems to be a very important document needed for Trv minor applicants.

Depending on the area you're headed, just search online for custodian agencies (I remember seeing some in BC and Ontario sha) and email them OR better yet find someone on here, already in canny, who can connect you with a custodian...all dependent on your proposed location o, the person shouldn't be too far from you.

Since its urgent pm as many people as you can find here and make your request to them, I believe someone will come through soon.
Also bear in mind that you may or may not, if lucky, have to pay for the service.

However...Good luck!

Don't be confused dear, where have you been checking for your tuition fees?
M. EBT students can only take courses during fall and winter (according to a friend currently doing the program).

By finding a supervisor for a project, do you mean switching to research-based or just the project attached to the M. EBT program(if the latter, I believe that won't be difficult at all but if the former, it depends on how hard you press and the availability of a professor, a 60/40 chance if I may say).
Don't mind me jare, it's the same school site o...too many additional info from here and there just got me wondering..thanks for clarifying.

About the supervisor issue...well, I can't say which route for now, I guess it'll all be easier to decide when I get there (by God's grace) but I know I'll definitely like to do a project either way. Thanks again!

Grad students rarely offer courses in the summer, except on special arrangements in which case one can either do a project(if a course-based student is lucky to get a supervisor for it) or if a research-based student, one can continue with his/her research project during summer.

Well, am not so familiar with M. EBT program, will inquire and get back to you.

In addition, general fee for grad studies is abt 14k plus per year(for only fall and winter session), so adding summer session will definitely hit abt 20k.
Oh really...the whole thing is just confusing to me, I personally think uOttawa has the worst tuition detailing I've ever seen huh
But nevertheless, will be hoping to hear about that from you soon sha...thanks a lot!

And also do you know how hard it can be for a course-based student to find a willing supervisor for a project?..you mentioned something about that

Lol @ gala and garri

I recently noticed you're a uOttawa student and would like to clarify something with you if you don't mind.
Do uOttawa grad students offer courses in the summer??...As in, I'll like to make a full year's tuition and I'm not very certain whether I should include summer session fees as well

Alright. The delay is probably because of the so many applications being processed atm. Try your best to maintain communication with Manitoba as well. Good luck!

Please who knows how long it takes university of Ottawa and university of Manitoba to make a decision about an application..... I don wait tire embarassed
Hi
I only know about uOttawa cos I applied there against Fall 2015. Fortunately for me, it took about 4-5weeks but I mostly think it's because I applied early. I know of someone else who applied and hasn't heard anything for about 2 months now. Everything just boils down to the amount of applications being processed right now.
What session did you apply for?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by Kepner(f): 11:37am On Nov 07, 2014
@redribs cheesy Lol!..he really got to you abi? pele dear kiss

@ipain I'm sorry people came off at you rather harshly...no vex. If you had taken time to go through the thread, you probably may have composed your question way better, without getting hit badly.
As justwise said, Visa can't be transferred like that o else the thread would probably still be in part 1 sef.
Since funds isn't an issue, I'll advise you talk to your friend (I sincerely hope he's legit) about sponsoring you through school cos that's the fastest way for you to get settled legitimately.

P.S: Most people are rather tensed, awaiting admission and medical calls.
All the best!

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by Kepner(f): 6:14pm On Nov 01, 2014
@Vycta

I personally have never heard of any agency working in the system which you just described. The norm will be for them to give you a variety of schools based on your budget and interests or better still, you provide them with the schools you like...and they do the job from there.
I think the best bet will be for you to take out time, search for the schools you'll prefer and apply yourself. If you have funds ready, this could be completed in a space of 2weeks, then you can start chasing your transcript processing from there on.
But if you feel you really really don't have time and need an agent, I'll advice you find a new one.

I have a 2:1..was turned down by U of R twice..guess I madr d mistake of puttn all ma eggs in 1 basket..tho I did it on advice from a couz who is based round d sch
Yeah you did. I normally advice friends to be ready to apply to 3 or 4 schools just to be safe. And since you have a 2.1 (hopefully a strong one) 3 will be just fine.
You could check out schools like MUN, Ottawa, Manitoba, SFU, Dalhousie...if they have the course you'll prefer. From what I know these schools are not crazy expensive and still have good rankings.
All the best!

If you don't mind though, could you list the schools that turned you down and how good is your UG result?...if it's not a 2.1 and above, then you'll most likely have difficulty getting admission from a Uni

yes it is possible to get TRV with 4 mil SOA.but to be on a safer side try get a good SOA and good landed properties with documents....

Which school? Should take max of 4weeks or less.
Really...is that time frame applicable to all??
Well, there's U of A, UOttawa, Dalhousie and SAIT. And to worsen it all someone told me U of A doesn't give admission response until February, which doesn't make any sense because why wait that long? undecided
It's annoying though but no other choice but to pray and wait...

Uottawa wasn't my only choice.. also have open applications to Ualberta and Mcmaster. But from gettin moni to pay for the applications, transcript wahala and sending it to the schools, i got confirmation of reciept of my docs. to Ualberta on fri. and mcmaster yesterday.. Uottawa was more like my 1st choice in canny cos of a friend dats there, i actually have 2 admissions in cyprus and another 2 in the UK
Oh really!...lots of choices for you then
Funny thing is I also applied to Mcmaster, as a second choice though.
But as redribs pointed out, you'll most likely have to settle for next Fall, if you're bent on going to canny.
Good luck!

Noticed you applied to UOttawa for Winter session, same here.

Did you use the first offer of admission for your visa application or you got a letter of acceptance after the offer
Hi Morfman
No, I didn't apply for Winter session, my application is for all the wayy Fall 2015 and I'm yet to receive my official letter of acceptance.

U can direct your question to redribs though, he's for winter session uOttawa and already started his Trv application process.
