elijah101:Good for you. My infinix phone is also 2 years now going 3! I am not against Iphone but I disagree with the OP that other smartphone brands can not last three years when I have seen people use smartphone brands that last same 3 years. |

asuustrike1:First of all ( and as usual) you have severely diverted from the essence of my comment. How does watching Africa Magic or buying pirated CDs stop Nollywood from producing movies that have story lines about depression? Do you even understand my previous comment? Secondly, I don't even watch or have time for Africa Magic and Nigerian movies in general, let alone take the effort to purchase pirated CDs. If you had blamed me for not having interest in watching Nollywood films you might have made a good point but as usual you missed the mark. Meanwhile, I know Nigerians and women in particular are huge fans of Nollywood and one of the best way to get to them, is to pass the message through movies that they usually watch. Whether it is streaming through Iroko Tv, Africa Magic or even so called pirate CDs! |
OgBurna:Thank you for this. So many misleading information out there. Sometimes officers take huge cooperative or mortgage loans and when the deductions start they claim ignorant of the deduction that is supposed to happen. |
bigdoo:There are level 16 officers in other government agencies that earn times three or even four times of the amount you mentioned but are usually revenue generating agencies who generate their own money and can sufficiently pay the staff (salary/allowances) with their revenue. The problem is states like Kwara rarely generate or even bother to generate anything meaningful and only depend on the allocation that is shared at the FAAC meetings. It is from this paltry allocation that the state government will use to run the state and pay salaries. |
kunle75:You, yourself, are not going to be excused either! You can not just stroll to the airport to do an installationand not know the name of agency or ministry you are doing the installation for. It does not work that way. At least, you would have been given a job completion certificate when done with the name of the agency/ministry/organization boldly written on it. But all is well, won't drag this much further |
refugee:Please, can you outline the parts he contradicted the Bible, I seem to have missed it. Thank you |
kunle75:I am not offended. That is why I mentioned in my previous post, which of course you conveniently ignored, that if an office is dirty I will blame the officers using the office before anyone. Here's where I mentioned it : kevoh: kunle75:The bolded is where your problem is. You keep lumping all engineers from different agencies in the airport together while I am trying my best to educate you on this misleading information. There's nothing like engineering section of the airport. What you have are different engineering units of various agencies who have different offices in the airport (it could be small/tiny but it is still an office). Whether it is dirty or not is now left to the officers using that office. About what the guy told you, if the guy is a Kwara state government worker he surely could be earning that very low salary but which state government worker and us an engineer works in the airport? What is their role (the state govt worker) at the airport? That is why I asked you the question in the first place. The agencies (not ministry/state govt)are the ones usually working in the airport and have major roles and are not on the payroll of Kwara state but FG or even paying themselves. |
Maybe Nollywood should start creating awareness in their movies on sicknesses like depression that was usually unfamiliar with Nigerians and leave the storylines of juju and co that have been overflogged. |
kunle75:I am not accusing you of supporting anything or anyone. I had to ask you that question because, one, you made a generalised statement which is "Engineering section at the Airport" , and two, Nigerian engineers and airports are only synonymous to agencies and not ministries. I work (as an engineer) at one of the Nigerian airports too and the only engineers you will find at the airport are usually NAMA, FAAN, NCAA, NIMET usually agencies (and private ones like Julius Berger and co) and trust me the grade level 8 (entry level) of these guys are usually above 70k let alone very senior engineers and/or their directors. |
kunle75:1. Most senior engineer of which ministry or agency? Different agencies are at the airport with their engineers, so which agency/ministry is it? 2. If an office is dirty and rat infested I will blame the officers working there before any other person. Do you need to be paid big salary to at least clean your office (on your own) and make it presentable. It doesn't have to be 5 star presentable. I am more interested in the number 1 question.... |
Is Saraki the Governor of Kwara state? I thought it's the jurisdiction of the governor to pay state salaries. Abeg someone explain something to me... |
