ECA was formed during obj regime without House Legislation.

State govs took fed govt to court during gej administration seeking the nullification of ECA,court ruled in favour of state govs on the ground that it wasn't backed by any law. Subsequently, the funds remaining in the account was shared among the 3 tiers of govt accordingly.


Since then, there has never been anything like ECA, all revenues from both oil and non oil sectors were mobilised by RMAFC and shared every month..

First of the US sell per gallon, so even if it’s $5 per gallon, that’s like $5 for 4 litres.
Secondly what is the minimum wage in the US vs Nigeria.
In the US it’s $12 abi $15 per hour. If you work 5 hours per day that’s like 5x12 = $60x20 days in a month. Making $1200 per month, so what is $5 for the person to buy one gallon of gas.
Then in Nigeria our minimum wage is 30k, of which some states till pay below that.
How do you expect someone earning 30k to afford 1 litre at your proposed N950?.
And finally people who buy fuel in the US buy majorly for their cars, while in Nigeria we buy for cars and generators. Meaning an average Nigerian will buy more fuel than an average US citizen.
