ovoP: i feel if harden was still in the nets, this would be a better series.. at least is play making would have been very useful, and hardern is a better defender than seth curry.. those guys always played better with harden in the lineup The reason they played better with Harden, was that even though he sometimes went into his dribble dribble dribble mode, he is a way better facilitator than anyone on the Nets currently. Also, KD and Kyrie respected him enough to allow him dictate the offense, thus allowing for better ball movement, which helped the the big guns and the role players get better shots. Now, a guy like Dragic and even Mills can do the same to a lesser extent but they are not allowed to do so at all, as soon any one of them touches the ball, it seems they are just instructed to look for either KD or Kyrie. So sadly for the Nets, the Harden trade might work out better for them in the long run if Simmons can be the player he was before last playoffs, but for this season's playoffs they would have been better off with Harden on their team. |

birdman: Indeed. Under pressure, Lebron can revert to athleticism and strength. Durant is a different breed, a pure shooter. Under pressure, there isnt much else to do other than play defense. Which is why its on Nash to run however many screen you need to let him see some daylight. Staggered screens and KD should not be bringing up the ball at. Move the ball and find players who are wide open. They've got so many role players who can hit open shots and they are not making use of them. The whole iso stuff does not work with modern defenses especially those that switch 1 through 5 with players who have length. |

steady986: Just a reminder... Lebron and KD are not in the same category. If you replace even 37 year old Lebron with KD in this current Nets team, they will beat the Celtics. Did you observe that the few times the Nets just moved the ball they got very good looks, and their role players shot a very good percentage. |

Roland17: E come be like say time come dey slower than usual Don't worry the Nets cannot win, they are playing dumb basketball. Everytime they even try a modicum of ball movement they get good looks, but 1 or 2 plays later they are back with their useless iso ball. That is why they are having double digits TOs |

A40: Man. Sports psychologists are so necessary. What people call pressure. So many people deal with way worse on a daily basis. Like the Shaq interview where he was talking about how his stepdad showed him what real pressure was 20k people shouting at you baba is pressure ohh. You put 99.99% of the human populatio in that situation and they will crumble |

Roland17: CP3 is playing heavy minutes and we all know how it turns out. The Suns have to end this series quick, they have the capacity to do it without Booker. I think CP3 will be fine, he had about 4wks of rest due to that hand injury so the rest might have been a blessing in disguise. The Pelicans on the other hand seems to match up well against them with all that length and their coach Willie green is really nailing both the rotation mix and the in game adjustments. This series might go 6-7 games |

Roland17: Una better lock am in sharp sharp because someone is going to give that man the bag. He has been playing lights out since last season. They offered him his qualifying offer which was $55m for 4 hrs, but baba refused and bet on him self. If the mavs win this series IMHO he might get a FVV type deal, 80m/4yr contract or at least close to that |

A40: Borrego is a mid coach but their bigger or biggest issue is Melo taking that next step and improving his efficiency. They also need to find something to do about Rozier and Bridges, especially Rozier. Someone that inefficient cannot be your starter taking the second most shots or most shots They need a coach that can coach up Melo on the little things. When to be aggressive, when to create et The dude has the skills and tools, just need to up him decision making a notch |

Looking at what the Celtics are doing to KD and Kyrie, this would not be happening to Lebron or even Luka. This idea that they will play pick up basketball in the playoffs without ball and player movement is laughable. Yesterday KD did not set one screen even though the Celtics made sure to contest every single entry pass made to him. |

A40: The whole Simmons business and Brooklyn as a whole just chose distractions all season long. I am trusting Boston to put them out their misery For me I want to see how the refs will call game 3. Will they call it like game 1 and the 1st half of game 2 or will they call it like the 2nd half of game 2. |

We have to steal 1 in Brooklyn..I screamed my lungs outs several times in the 4th.. what a come back..Not the best game for the Js but the others came through and our defense picked up in the 4th.
#GREENRUNSDEEP Not the best game scoring wise for the Js, but in terms of playmaking and defense they left it out there |

Android22: BKN 107 CELTS 114.
KD needs to become who he was against the Bucks. Kyrie was passive which makes it clear that Nash wanted KD to have a statement game.
Seth, Brown and Dragic all having solid games but the Celtics are just better in the crunch.
Celtics have their role players to thank and then the big boys came out in the 4th to win this.
Game 3 will now be all to play for. Kyrie is just feeling what it feels like to play a game every 2-3 days, especially during Ramadan. He has never been known for his tremendous stamina anyways, add that to the incredible defensive plays by the Celtics, his performance IMHO was predictable |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 3:06am On Apr 21, 2022 |
A40: You're really banking on Simmons who has not played any basketball in almost 11 months The worst mistake the Nets will make is to leave Tatum or Brown 1v1 against Simmons on his return, both of them will cook him. Nobody returns after not playing for 11months in game shape, so if they are thinking of playing him, it will have to be in the same mode as what Claxton is already doing for them. |

KD is still having it rough but he is feeding via free throws.
Whoever can sustain the aggression will win this game.
25-14 Nets This series is fire, they are going hard every single possession |

A40: That is why I feel somehow when people call this Milwaukee a big 3.
My own issue with Middleton is his floor is unacceptable for a team that consistently wants to win. You can't oscillate from 36pts one game to 6pts the next. There should be a floor that no matter how bad the game you're having you should never fall beneath a certain level He is what I call a low end number 2. The gap between his floor and his ceiling is just too wide. |

A40: What are you talking about? Are you going to blow out every opponent you face? Weren't they almost losing to Brick Ross before CP3's hammy gave way and historically calamitous shooting from 3 was the final coup de grace? That was 2018 and 19. In 2017 gsw went 4-0, 4-0, 4-0, and then 4-1 in the finals. That is why I said clutch shots did not matter to them that year |

A40: He's a great player no doubt but best player in the world on what grounds?? That was the part that always grated on my nerves. This man had not won a MVP in years, no finals MVP since 2018. What was the metrics by which he was being given that accolade. That's the thing about aesthetics and narratives.
Was watching a debate the other day when they were talking about how the KD Warriors were the best team in history and how Steph and KD are unbeatable and what not. Did you know MJ has 9 buzzer beaters and Steph, Klay, KD combined have 4. These are people that we constantly refer to as clutch but these guys are not clutch at all The clutch stat you just mentioned does not necessarily mean anything. If you are blowing out people, which the 2017 GSW was doing, you do not necessarily have the opportunities to take clutch shots. |

A40: Thank God I said arguably since you like pretending you cannot read. But the argument could definitely be had. He was their leading scorer and passer I would have understand the arguably, if you had picked say 2010, but 2007 come on. Does defense no longer count or is scoring and passing the only metric that matters |

felix00: This is where you wrong bro. We will surely get better defensively with Simmons even if it's just 15 minutes per game.
And you think KD Playing better than today's shitshow won't improve the Nets offense?
I think this is it from Boston(Both defensively and Offensively).. it's not the same for the Nets tho
There's more games to go sha. It's probably going to be down to 7.
Claxton should start over Drummond From this point forward But the Celtics, were missing easy buckets at the rim all game though |
