Come on Bird won 3 MVP's in the 80's was possibly the best outside shooter in the league at the time. Helped create a rivalry with the Lakers that brought back the NBA into national limelight. Dude Bird had his era alongside Magic.
It's like someone calling the past ten years of European football only the Messi or Ronaldo's era, irrespective of which one of them you believe is better, both of them together made the last decade of football legendary together

Without numbers all we have is opinions and narratives and all of that is subjective. Nick also tends to hold back on going at his guests i guess just to be polite sometimes but i've seen him hold his own. Hes not my favorite analyst not even close, but the man gets a bad rap for no reason other than he loves lebron. All numbers guys love lebron, daryl morey loves lebron, thinks hes the goat by a mile, very few people know numbers better than daryl morey so i dont think these numbers wright uses have no context.

Nick Wright mostly quotes and regurgitate stats, a lot of time without context and he is no different than the average nerd on Twitter or Reddit. This is why he always runs into problems when they bring actual people that played the sport and know numbers aren't everything

In all fairness to Nick, he called Jokic a pretend superstar before the playoffs. His stance was he needs to see him do it in the post season, something I think a lot of people also do.
Now he has acknowledged the jokers genius after almost all their games and Cris Carter keeps laughing at him about that

Shannon Sharpe is an unrepentant LeNomad stan as well but he's one of my favorite analysts. His takes are mostly objective and is not a wannabe stat nerd like Nick Wright who would actively argue with actual experts in their field of expertise because he is privy to a few numbers

Nick wright is just like most of all the pundits, sometimes they get it right but most times they get it wrong. They are paid primarily for ratings.
PS: If I remember well he was one of the first person's to join the Pat Mahomes bandwagon and in that case he was right.

Whoever assembled this bucks team is a don. Bledsoe, Middleton, Giannis, Mirotic, Lopez. Plus Brogdon, Ilyasova and even george hill has been playing well. This team is really really good.

The fact that they were not on prime time TV for most of the year really led a lot of people to underestimate them. They had at almost every time through out this season probably the most important and understated pick up. From coach Bud, to brook lopez and ersan at the start of the season, to George hill and mirotic at the trade deadline.
Great job by their front office

Couldn't catch the GSW game, just went through the play by play, the Rockets really blew this one. They stunk up the joint. CP3 is one hell of a choker geezz. This was the best opportunity they had to beat GSW in this series.

If Curry is on his level. They can't stop him. They have not even stopped him in this series. He has just not been himself.

They don't necessary have to stop him offensively, but if they key on him defensively and make him work hard on that end(he might even get into foul trouble because of this). Then he either will be more tired especially given the fact he will have to play upwards of 40mins or he might then be in foul trouble.

In the same bracket as far as scoring efficiency? Yes. As far as best players in the league, Kawhi is one level above. He understands and affects the game in the same way Magic or Lebron does.

For example, most games Kawhi scores like 20pts/9rebs, but his effect on the game makes you think he has 40. If KD scores that, it looks like he was lowkey all game..

KD's overall effect on games have greatly improved over the years. In fact for the past two seasons his defense have improved to an all nba defense level. Kawhi is still the better defender while KD is the better offensive player. So for me it's a toss up who is better, an argument can be made for either of them.

Small problem with your analysis. KD is on a team with the best shooter in nba history, best shhoting backcourt in nba history, and two time nba champs.

All this means you cant load up on him like you can on other stars. For example Kawhi has seen triple teams even, and still scores. To even double team Durant is wahala. Best you can do is help defense.

Now consider Kawhi...proven playoffs MVP on multiple teams. No ring, but imagine if he was on Warriors instead. Or Kobe .

Lets be realistic please.

KD has always been an efficient scorer even during his OKC days. Kawhi is great but is not a better scorer, for one thing KD is a better shooter. In terms of who is better overall, IMO there is no clear cut answer and both are in the same bracket

I told you watch out for the Bruins and the Blues in the NHL playoffs. They are both in the Conference Finals

The only reason people are sleeping on the joker is that he is unconventional, a true point-center has never existed before in the NBA.

KD can get buckets from any number of ways ever invented. In the low post, at the rim, from mid range, from 3 point range. All of these options for KD offer shots he can not only make efficiently but are also shots he is extremely comfortable taking. Other great scores like Wilt, KAJ, Bird, Malone, Kobe and even MJ(who IMO is the greatest scorer ever) had 1 or 2 options they were not either comfortable with or could never be efficient at. Wilt, KAJ, Malone never were even average shooters, Bird couldn't play above the rim that well cause he lacked elite athleticism, Kobe was never an efficient shot selector and MJ is just not the pure shooter KD is. Maybe it's a function of all his basketball influences but KD has nearly every shot in the book.

D rockets need to learn not to brick treys for 2+ minutes if they want to have any chance of winning this series. They need to either get to the basket when shots are not falling or just get a bit closer and maybe just take a high percentage midrange.
In game 4 with 2 mins left they were leading with 10points and still just won by a single possession.

The only hope is to tank in a season where the next draft class is deep. The spurs development program will always get the players that can flesh out a winning roster. But that number one option is more often than not a lottery pick
