ipledge10:Before this season every GM and most sport writers would have picked KAT ahead of Jokic to build around. Now I don't think even one will pick KAT ahead of the joker |
ipledge10:Good no extra $25million+,maybe the Wolves can build something with the money now that they have a new GM |
A40:Pippen was a 5th overall pick |
I have a quick question Prime D wade and Steph Curry who is better |
A40:Please apart from Spurs name one small market team that has won the NBA in the past 30years. The spurs only won because they are extraordinarily well run and lucked in on Tin Duncan. Lebron was drafted by a team who for 7 years, the best players they could put with him was Mo Williams and an old Shaq. Nobody blames KD for leaving OKC, the issue people have is of him going to GSW. IMO if not for his sensitivity this will not be a huge topic |
smoosh20:The difference for those who have a problem with it is that KD left a team with an all NBA and MVP caliber player, and Lebron did not |
smoosh20:Recruit top tier free agents to Cleveland Ohio, please that's nearly impossible |
A40:Bledsoe has never been in the same universe talent wise as a Curry. His only elite skill set is defense and as bad as he has been during this playoff series his defense has still been good. PS: what will be considered a bad game for Steph is probably a good game from 70% of the players in the nba |
A40:One of The main reason if i remember correctly why Lebron left Cleveland in the first place was that he found it difficult to recruit free agents to join him. Chicago on the other hand is a dream place for free agents. Apart from the teams in LA and NY I don't think there is a bigger market than Chicago |
I hope the way the role/bench players in GSW put on a clinic since KD's injury will finally put to bed all the Steve Kerr is overrated or not a good coach stuff. This guy understands basketball and a HOF caliber coach |
Probably the most illogical I've heard since the draft lottery is for Zion to stay in school so as not to play for the Pelicans. This dude has a huge opportunity to cash out both from his rookie contract and a huge shoe deal and people are saying he should pass it up so as to play in a big market team. Lebron built his empire mostly in a small market, so I still don't understand the list for the so called big market teams especially when most of their teams suck Thankfully his stepfather just said he (Zion) will be happy to play for anybody who drafts him. |
The thing about the bucks that most teams will have difficulty with is that they have too many good shooters from deep, that it becomes nearly impossible for all of them to go cold through out a game. Brogdon and Lopez ensured that the whole teams bad shooting did not kill them in game 1. |
KarnThornheart:Sorry, I meant ja morant |
KarnThornheart:The Knicks will gladly pay the luxury tax if they can get those 3 because they not only become guaranteed champions but also will be making money selling out MSG . The warriors are gladly doing that right now. |
KarnThornheart:I never mentioned Zion as the 3rd pick, I said either Ja or RJ as the 3rd pick |
steady986:The Knicks want a big 3 |
SAS reaction on the Knicks pick is damn right hilarious |
aliondo: . David Griffin will prefer the Knicks package to that of nearly every other team, as long as the Celtics do not include Tatum |
The Pelicans now have the ability for a do over. If AD isn't interested in staying even with the prospect of Zion, my opinion is to trade him. If the Celtics can throw in Tatum then I'll listen to them but if not the Knicks have the best chance of getting AD. Their third pick(which will be Ja or RJ) plus Robinson and 3 first round picks (both picks conveying from Dallas and the Knicks 2020 first round pick) for AD will be huge rebuilding blocks. Now with the new lottery format, all these picks could turn out to be lottery picks. But if they do not want to gamble due to this new format, they can also ask for DSJ+ Robinson+ 2019 3rd pick+ 2 first round picks in 2020. As long as the Knicks get KD any of this trade will be beneficial for both franchise. |
ipledge10:No GM is making this trade, a 3rd overall and 2nd rounder for Zion, no way in hell is that happening. |
donlittle25:Rebuilding with a top 10 player all time, who is still averaging 27/8/8. The Lakers front office are a joke. |
Would have paid to see Skip bayless face when kawhi made that shot. He kept harping on and on about not trusting number 2 in the big moments, big time hater. |
GSW were 8th in 3pt attempts this season, so this narrative that they live and die by the three is false. The rockets on the other hand were 1st and they are the sole team whose style of play fits that phrase. The bucks who were 2nd in 3pt attempts only took that number as a means to open the lane for the Freak to dominate. PS: sometimes I wonder what practice sessions in Houston are like. Will it just be Harden iso, then Chris Paul iso. Then that was a great practice guys. |
A40:What he means by Kobe never having an era IMO, is simply that there was no stretch of time that Kobe alone was absolutely the best player in the league. |
A40:Like your analysis but it's your opinion that Kobe was slightly better, there are others who believe that Duncan or Shaq were better. |
A40:My stance is I've heard of the 2000's been called the Shaq/Kobe/Duncan/ AI era and I completely agree with that cause these guys defined those years. |
A40:Same argument can be made for Tim Duncan and he had two MVP's to show for it. Tim Duncan finished in the top 10 for twelve straight seasons so how can that era be termed the Kobe era when he had more MVP's and finals MVP's than Kobe Using MVP win shares both shaq and Duncan from that era are also ahead of Kobe |
A40:The Chris Paul deal is an anchor that will sink the rockets, the only solution is (and I don't know if this is even allowed) for the contract to be restructured where they take some money from him and pay a player of the ilk of Tobias Harris or Gallinari guys who can play in a system and also create their own shot especially in the midrange. If something is not done their window just got shut down for good. Harden on the other hand has to decide whether his priority is money via a supermax contract or championships. |
Just saw this statement on SB nation love the last sentence die. "The Splash Brothers ended Houston’s season without the help of Kevin Durant. Rockets excuses undoubtedly forthcoming". |
The GSW win is another testament to Curry's greatness and Kerr's coaching ability, both of which I think have been grossly underrated by fans since KD got there. What a performance |
KarnThornheart:Race does not matter when it comes to ability. For me right now one of the reasons I'm hyped about the future of the NBA is because of players like Jokic, Donovan, Doncic, Tatum, Embiid to name a few. The color of their skin does not matter when it comes to basketball only their ability counts |
chic2pimp:Big time chokers. Another thing that Nick got right IMO, I recall him saying that if the rockets don't beat the warriors out and win a championship in the first two years of CP3's contract, then said contract becomes the 2nd worst contract in the NBA behind John Wall's contract. |
