I’m so mad right now, KAT didn’t make all nba team.
Before this season every GM and most sport writers would have picked KAT ahead of Jokic to build around. Now I don't think even one will pick KAT ahead of the joker

Good no extra $25million+,maybe the Wolves can build something with the money now that they have a new GM

Lmaooo he got Rodman after they won their first threepeat so Rodman don't count, Pippen got drafted. He was developed and wasn't a lottery pick. Fail again

The GOAT faced Detroit 3 times. And beat them the 4th time. He didn't run to South Beach to team up with two other all time greats.

The Celtics Big 3 were all on the wrong side of 30. Not in their prime so try another excuse

LeNomad could have gotten just Bosh and that would be better than what he had in Cleveland. Why did he need a Finals MVP and former scoring champion, Bosh, and other legendary spot up shooters to tilt the competitive balance in his favor
Pippen was a 5th overall pick

I have a quick question Prime D wade and Steph Curry who is better

Is he the first player to play in a small market. Anyway he ran to Miami and crewed up with not one but two elite players in their prime. Never been done in the history of the league

That began the free agent arms race! so who is now the judge and jury to determine which free agent is off limits? Especially a team that built it's talents via the draft? It's open season. Kill or be killed

Whatever man
Please apart from Spurs name one small market team that has won the NBA in the past 30years. The spurs only won because they are extraordinarily well run and lucked in on Tin Duncan.
Lebron was drafted by a team who for 7 years, the best players they could put with him was Mo Williams and an old Shaq.
Nobody blames KD for leaving OKC, the issue people have is of him going to GSW. IMO if not for his sensitivity this will not be a huge topic

The whole point flew over your head. Both guys left their positions to win. If you take a Ferrari to a bar and I take an F1 car, we still both left our place to same place. There's no rule that says these guys can't move.
The difference for those who have a problem with it is that KD left a team with an all NBA and MVP caliber player, and Lebron did not

Was it his job recruit free agents? Didn't he make the playoffs on the Cavs on several occasions like KD did in OKC? He left the Cavs because he couldn't win and then went to the Heat whose front office job was to bring Bosh and Allen with prime D Wade so he can win and he did. KD went because he couldn't win after 9yrs so that excuse about Bron leaving because he couldn't recruit is weak. What happens when he had 2 all stars on the Cavs and couldn't win? He bolts again to the Lakers where they are chasing Anthony Davis and other stars. If he can't win, he leaves but KD does it once and he's the bad guy. LeBron and KD were free agents. They didn't do any wrong however don't give LeBron a pass and criticize KD for wanting to win just like Bron.
Recruit top tier free agents to Cleveland Ohio, please that's nearly impossible

The Bucks aren't playing today.

Eric Bledsoe is straight trash homie! I didn't make my assessment off of one series.

Steph Curry has never played as poorly as Eric friggin Bledsoe.

This nigga is averaging 8pts per game on 24% shooting!!! WTF??
Bledsoe has never been in the same universe talent wise as a Curry. His only elite skill set is defense and as bad as he has been during this playoff series his defense has still been good.
PS: what will be considered a bad game for Steph is probably a good game from 70% of the players in the nba

Then you should have had LeNomad stay with the Cavs and not join the Heat when he did then let's see how many Finals he would have gotten to
One of The main reason if i remember correctly why Lebron left Cleveland in the first place was that he found it difficult to recruit free agents to join him. Chicago on the other hand is a dream place for free agents. Apart from the teams in LA and NY I don't think there is a bigger market than Chicago
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 1:23pm On May 21, 2019
I hope the way the role/bench players in GSW put on a clinic since KD's injury will finally put to bed all the Steve Kerr is overrated or not a good coach stuff. This guy understands basketball and a HOF caliber coach
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 8:45am On May 17, 2019
Probably the most illogical I've heard since the draft lottery is for Zion to stay in school so as not to play for the Pelicans. This dude has a huge opportunity to cash out both from his rookie contract and a huge shoe deal and people are saying he should pass it up so as to play in a big market team.
Lebron built his empire mostly in a small market, so I still don't understand the list for the so called big market teams especially when most of their teams suck
Thankfully his stepfather just said he (Zion) will be happy to play for anybody who drafts him.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 8:13am On May 16, 2019
The thing about the bucks that most teams will have difficulty with is that they have too many good shooters from deep, that it becomes nearly impossible for all of them to go cold through out a game. Brogdon and Lopez ensured that the whole teams bad shooting did not kill them in game 1.

Do you understand how salary cap works? How do you expect to pay AD Kyrie and KD? Maybe they should have a supporting cast of cream crackers and saltines yes?
The Knicks will gladly pay the luxury tax if they can get those 3 because they not only become guaranteed champions but also will be making money selling out MSG . The warriors are gladly doing that right now.

First of all Tatums trade value isnt what it used to be given his recent performances his stock has plummeted. Secondly the whole pelicans like Tatum more than any other young player in the league is a rumor that even if it was true for dell demps isnt true for david griffin. And in what universe do you expect zion to be a third pick? LOOL! You are just making baseless assumptions.
I never mentioned Zion as the 3rd pick, I said either Ja or RJ as the 3rd pick

But according to Stephen A, the Knicks have a 95% chance of landing both KD and Kyrie. If so, the Knicks are out of this conversation.
The Knicks want a big 3

Wow..we have the Pelicans GM on this thread. . wink
grin grin grin. David Griffin will prefer the Knicks package to that of nearly every other team, as long as the Celtics do not include Tatum
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by Khanben:
The Pelicans now have the ability for a do over. If AD isn't interested in staying even with the prospect of Zion, my opinion is to trade him. If the Celtics can throw in Tatum then I'll listen to them but if not the Knicks have the best chance of getting AD.
Their third pick(which will be Ja or RJ) plus Robinson and 3 first round picks (both picks conveying from Dallas and the Knicks 2020 first round pick) for AD will be huge rebuilding blocks.
Now with the new lottery format, all these picks could turn out to be lottery picks. But if they do not want to gamble due to this new format, they can also ask for DSJ+ Robinson+ 2019 3rd pick+ 2 first round picks in 2020.
As long as the Knicks get KD any of this trade will be beneficial for both franchise.

Maybe New York should use their number 3 pick and future second round pick to get Zion.
No GM is making this trade, a 3rd overall and 2nd rounder for Zion, no way in hell is that happening.

you have a top 50 all time player on your roster and you are rebuilding?
Could it be... Ah nevermind
Rebuilding with a top 10 player all time, who is still averaging 27/8/8. The Lakers front office are a joke.

Would have paid to see Skip bayless face when kawhi made that shot. He kept harping on and on about not trusting number 2 in the big moments, big time hater.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 10:48pm On May 11, 2019
GSW were 8th in 3pt attempts this season, so this narrative that they live and die by the three is false. The rockets on the other hand were 1st and they are the sole team whose style of play fits that phrase.
The bucks who were 2nd in 3pt attempts only took that number as a means to open the lane for the Freak to dominate.
PS: sometimes I wonder what practice sessions in Houston are like. Will it just be Harden iso, then Chris Paul iso. Then that was a great practice guys.

From 2000/2001 season to 2010/2011 Kobe never failed to make All-NBA team and only finished outside the All-NBA second team once! This is who Nick Wright said didn't have an era? Naa that man is mad
What he means by Kobe never having an era IMO, is simply that there was no stretch of time that Kobe alone was absolutely the best player in the league.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 10:22pm On May 11, 2019
A40:
But Kobe waxed the Spurs almost everytime they faced. Their playoffs H2H was 4-2 with Kobe easily being the best player in Lakers uniform for probably all 4 of their wins.

Btw if you say it was Duncan's era, that is also accurate. Between 2000-2010 they were the two best players in the league within that timeframe, though I give slight edge to Kobe. Somebody used a perfect example anyway, Messi and Ronaldo
Like your analysis but it's your opinion that Kobe was slightly better, there are others who believe that Duncan or Shaq were better.

My stance is I've heard of the 2000's been called the Shaq/Kobe/Duncan/ AI era and I completely agree with that cause these guys defined those years.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by Khanben:
A40:
That is my point. The idea that you need a regular season MVP award to validate how good or dominant a player was in a certain era is rather erroneous to me. There has to be a healthy combination of Regular and post season excellence for you to tell me a player was consistently dominant

Kobe between 1999/2000 to 2010 only had 3 seasons where he didn't finish in the top 10 in MVP voting. In fact on 6 occasions he finished top 5. When you also consider he was also the best or second best player to teams that went to 7 Finals between that timeframe and the best playoff performer overall then suggesting Kobe didn't have an era is borderline irresponsible
Same argument can be made for Tim Duncan and he had two MVP's to show for it. Tim Duncan finished in the top 10 for twelve straight seasons so how can that era be termed the Kobe era when he had more MVP's and finals MVP's than Kobe
Using MVP win shares both shaq and Duncan from that era are also ahead of Kobe
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 3:33pm On May 11, 2019
A40:
Lol you're making my argument for me. I'm not judging purely by decisions made by the coach. I'm just saying he is not as good as cracked out to be. Just look at the contract he gave CP3. You don't give a 33 year old a 4 year/$160m deal no matter what. I'm surprised his analytics didn't tell him that

The problem right now is the upside for the Rockets is almost nil! Should KD leave the Warriors sef it could be argued that the Rockets are somehow not best positioned to take advantage because they are capped out

Ohh and btw I won't blame him for taking a flier on Melo. It was a pretty low risk maneuver anyway
The Chris Paul deal is an anchor that will sink the rockets, the only solution is (and I don't know if this is even allowed) for the contract to be restructured where they take some money from him and pay a player of the ilk of Tobias Harris or Gallinari guys who can play in a system and also create their own shot especially in the midrange.
If something is not done their window just got shut down for good. Harden on the other hand has to decide whether his priority is money via a supermax contract or championships.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 6:48am On May 11, 2019

"The Splash Brothers ended Houston’s season without the help of Kevin Durant. Rockets excuses undoubtedly forthcoming".
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 6:47am On May 11, 2019
The GSW win is another testament to Curry's greatness and Kerr's coaching ability, both of which I think have been grossly underrated by fans since KD got there. What a performance

Race does not matter when it comes to ability. For me right now one of the reasons I'm hyped about the future of the NBA is because of players like Jokic, Donovan, Doncic, Tatum, Embiid to name a few. The color of their skin does not matter when it comes to basketball only their ability counts

Big time chokers.
Another thing that Nick got right IMO, I recall him saying that if the rockets don't beat the warriors out and win a championship in the first two years of CP3's contract, then said contract becomes the 2nd worst contract in the NBA behind John Wall's contract.
