hbatagarawa:
YENAGOA – The flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming December 5 Bayelsa Governorship Election, Chief Timipre Sylva has berated the governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole for failing to conduct a peaceful and credible primary election of the party.

Sylva and Oshiomhole
Sylva and Oshiomhole

Sylva who spoke shortly after he was declared winner of the primary said, “I will like him to come back, let us sit down together as a people, as lovers of the APC, as lovers of Bayelsa state and as lovers of Nigeria join hands and work together and deliver good governance to this state.

According to him, “Its been a long walk and I am very happy today to accept the victory that you have given to me for the second time. This is only the beginning of the journey. today I have seen that we politicians have a lot to learn from the military, what a serving Governor of Edo state of this country was incapable of doing just just a few days ago has been achieved by a retired general and his team.

“This tells you that we have a lot to learn about the military. I want to thank the security agencies that have been present since yesterday night until now and have kept the peace and make sure that this primary are rancour free.

Recall that Oshiomhole lampooned Sylva for allegedly truncating the electoral process during the disputed governorship primaries of the APC in the state while Sylva described Oshiomhole’s words as a deliberate “act of mischief” and “lies”.

Also recall that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC, had replaced Oshiomhole, approving the appointment of Brig-Gen. Mansur Dan Ali (retd.) as Chairman of the gubernatorial primary election committee.

Politics › Re: What Clinton Told Me About BUHARI - OBJ by khassy(m): 5:58am On Oct 02, 2015
kikesblog:
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed the impression of some world leaders about President Muhammadu Buhari.
The ex -President, who spoke with reporters at his Abeokuta home yesterday, added that despite Nigeria’s “mistakes and missteps,” it is not doing badly at 55 as a nation.
Obasanjo added that 55 years in the life of a nation was still relatively young and notwithstanding this, the country had managed to be dynamic and progressive.

He said: “I heard some of the comments of those he (Buhari) met; the comment that probably will not come back to him. He met Clinton for almost one hour and President Clinton , when I joined him for his global initiative talked to me about the impression of our President, it was favourable.

“Gordon Brown and I met him and
we talked about issues. The few other leaders who met him gave me their impression and his debut so to say, it has been good. I think we are at the table, what they use to say that Nigeria is not at the table, now we are present at the table.”
He said Nigerians should be willing to learn from past mistakes while core national values should also not be eroded to enable the real growth and progress become manifest.

He noted that Nigeria was now well positioned with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for both recognition and active participation in global politics in a manner that would likely elicit positive attention from the international community.

According to Obasanjo, feelers from the world leaders and statemen during the recent UN summit showed that President Muhammadu Buhari did not only have a good outing there, but also helped to place Nigeria at a strategic position for global politics.

He identified youth unemployment, education, security, justice, the economy among others as areas the country should not joke with particularly corruption, saying it has the capacity to destroy everything noble about Nigeria.
Obsanjo said: “Fifty five years in the life of a nation is comparatively young, growing and when you look at the life and history of those that you may call settled societies or reasonably matured countries, we are not doing too badly.

“They have had missteps just as we are having missteps, they have made mistakes and most of them have learnt from their mistakes, they have been dynamic in the way they have progressed and I believe that we are doing the same thing.
“What is important is that certain cardinal pinches, cardinal features of our national live, values, should not be eroded. And then we should also be willing to learn from out mistakes.

“The President in his statement said Nigeria has the marks in making the potentialities of a great nation is just question of actualising our potentialities and that will require all hands on deck ; men, women, muslims, christians, young and old, irrespective of our location, our tribe, our social standing, Nigeria needs all hands on deck.
“And we must also realise important issues that we must not play with, we must not play with the issue of education, we must not play with the issue of health for our people.

“We must not play with the issue of employment for our teeming population particularly for our youths, we must not play with the issue of economy, we must not play with the issue of security, peace and justice. Justice and peace go hand in hand, we can’t have injustice and expect peace to reign supreme.”

Toks2008:
That moment when all the sexy ladies you see and the cute guys you see mean absolutely nothing to you. That moment when any form of love advances from guys are like stale songs in your ear and as a man,you have lost zeal for wooing ladies.

That moment in our lives when you just want to wake up beside someone to call yours, someone to be with, someone to raise a family with and someone to be a great companion to you.

That moment when you have realized the vagueness of chasing after every sweet lady you see and when that cute guy you see no longer wows you.

That is the moment you need to look inwards and pray to find that one person who wil just be ok for you. No mater how cute you are as a man and no matter how sexy you are as a woman, when that moment comes, you just might be forced to settle for the next person that comes your way.

This is the moment a lady gets to and decides to date or marry a married man or a man gets to and finds solace in a prostitute and people will be quick to say how come you chose a married man when we have single men every where and how come you are dating a prostitute.

In this moment, ladies become vulnerable and guys just lay down their guards. A very very tempting moment when a woman just wants to consider every pig that comes her way and when a man just chose to be with just about any lady.

A moment some find themselves in as a result of disappointment from those they love but we must also avoid getting to that moment by been proactive enough when the sun still shines and when the flower of a woman still blooms.

Well, today our 20 year marriage ended in courtroom 2-D.

To be honest, it was surreal. When we came to this decision months ago, I felt like the world had ended. In truth, I was afraid of what life would look like now without you. But now, standing here, it seems much more survivable. I read a German proverb once that said, "Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is." And I was truly afraid of life without you. You have been the one constant person in my life for so long. In fact, longer than any other person on earth. You are the voice in my head. I owe you so much for these last 20 years. So I thought I'd let you know a few things on this first day of our new relationship. I know it's weird writing this to you on this day, but life speeds by and there is simply no time to leave the right words unspoken. So allow me to share a few of my thoughts and feelings from today with you...

• You deserve an award for making it 20 years with a man like me. We both know I'm not easy to love. I'm beyond driven, don't sleep much, make jokes in every situation, and you could always count on me to misbehave. I have taken more then my fair share of risks over our years together. That's the problem with being married to a person who pursues dreams. You get dragged into adventures you never signed up for. I realized too late that many of my dreams became nightmare situations for you. My passions have always driven me. And that my heart is all about pursuing new things and bold plans. In many ways, my life is like a room full of dynamite... and I sit in that room playing with matches far too often. But hang in there... you were always ready with your southern charm and classy manners to correct my brash nature and follow me into another venture. I realize now that even though we had some real success, it took a toll on those I loved. For that I am truly sorry.

• Statistically, this was a good decision. We both know that 50 percent of marriages end in divorce... but the other 50 percent end in DEATH! So we really dodged a bullet there :-)

• You are an AWESOME mom. Your kindness and love for our children is, perhaps, the single most beautiful thing about you. You will never fully know how much I studied your example while we raised these kiddos. You somehow breathe out love and they breathe it in.

• I want you to be happy. You deserve to be happy. Being married and also "in ministry" is often a nightmare. The pressures of having a good marriage makes having an authentic one a real struggle. Honestly, I'm happy you don't have to deal with that anymore. For me, I know this is what I must do with my life. But you deserve a much more peaceful life and I'm excited you get that.

• For the record, I would have married you all over again... even if I knew it would end like this. Yes, we have three amazing kids out of this, but even if there was no Chloe, Titus, and Silas... I still would have picked you. I'm a better and different person today because of you. I cannot imagine going through life without any real time with you.

• You need to stay off WebMD. Headaches are rarely brain cancer. I mean it. It's SUPER rare! You can be stubborn and ornery. People like you live longer than everyone you know. Let death be a surprise when it arrives. Enjoy the many years you have in front of you.

• You can't get me to stop loving you. I honestly tried to convince my heart to hate you for a while. It didn't take. You're just too good of a person. The one thing that surprised me about our desperation was how easy it was to just be friends again. For us, that's where "we" started. And so I'm happy that that's where we are ending. As great friends. I love that we still talk about our kids, life, plans, movies, music, and what famous person died. It feels normal to me.

• I'll always be here to help you in any way you need. I love that you're going to school and exploring new avenues for your journey through life. I'm always going to be around in case you need help... because I'm a fan. Always will be.

• If our divorce has taught me one thing it's this: if I had known it was going to end after 20 years, I would have absolutely done more sit-ups. Dating again is going to be interesting. But my friend signed me up for something called Grindr so I'm sure I'll have a lot of dates soon.

• I'm not stupid. I know a woman like you will not be alone long. You are too easy to love. And I want you to know that I will be a fan of whomever you choose to love again. I will, no doubt, share embarrassing stories about you with them whenever I can. But that's to be expected because I can be a real tool!

I guess that sums up most of it. I have thought about this day a lot as it approached. And all I knew was I wanted to end "us" well. Sounds stupid I guess... to want to end our marriage in a "good way." But I keep thinking back to that old movie The Lion in Winter. When the sons, in the dungeon, think they hear Henry coming down the stairs to kill them.

Richard says,"He's here. He'll get no satisfaction out of us. Don't let him see you beg...Take it like a man!

Geoffrey replied, "You fool! As if the way one falls down matters!"

Richard replied, "Well, when the fall is all that's left, it matters a great deal."

It was an honor to have you for 20 years. It will be my privilege to be a close friend the rest of your life.

So I will end this with a few words with from the great theologian Cyndi Lauper.

"If you're lost you can look -- and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you --
I'll be waiting
Time after time"

With all my heart,
Michael

NoLoveNoPain:
This lady was introduced to me last year December and we started as friends, we seldomly contact each other and we're not really into each other but all of a sudden things took a different turn and we became best of friends, always online updating each other how the day is going. I work with a filling station while she works as a hotel receptionist and we're in our late 20s, perfect age to start a family. She always ask questions on when I will be ready to have my family and I always tell her to be patient with me to at least get a better job that matches my B.Sc qualification or at least raise a seizable amount to start my personal business (Diesel Supply to Corporate business entities e.g. Banks, Hotels etc) while she also change her job.

Sometimes in June, during one my journeys to her pleasure island, I noticed a blister on her right nipple and she said i should not navigate to the area, I don't even bother to ask what happened to her. After that day, I discovered the blister refuses to heal up and I was worried. My mind said someone is exploring that arena but I don't want to believe those thoughts. One weekend in July, while checking music CD in her shelf, I stumbled on a HIV medical test result, pack of accurate (urine pregnancy test), though the result was negative but I was very disturbed, scared and worried. I asked her what was the motive behind the test and what is she doing with more that a dozen of test kit, she mumbling some excuses like "I sell those test kit to people who are ashamed to get them in pharmacy store etc.

I confided in my friend who said I should go for a test which I did and was negative.

I became very restless at work because I'm really into this lady. With no proof or anything to justify her wayward life, I took her phone and activated "automatic call record". I activated the call record on Sunday, I stylishly sent the recorded conversation to my phone last night (Wednesday) when I visited her because she's on a night shift, as I type, I'm heartbroken, the very first conversation I listened to open the lid of canker-worm, I've been dating/sleeping a prostitute since the last 10 months, the sad part is that I don't know how one of his customer knew about me because in two separate conversation, they made jest of me and most likely another man is with her at work as you read this. cry cry cry
