Your appraisal/promotion is linked to eye service.

If you leave them for a structured company, you would be shortchaged most times as the new firm cannot accurately read your level and worth. So they will most likely throw you to entry level even after "years of experience".

Some of them intentionally run like startups for a long time. Masters at emotionally blackmailing staff.

I totally agree with you.
I once worked for one just after the corona, for a year and they did not pay salaries.
After i wrote them through a lawyer they moved out to a new location, and I've not seen them again.
Just like that my time and money can't be recovered

Usually these stories are half sided, someone had suggested a non-live in maid, another suggested the mom can talk with him, and a couple of other comments.
The man won't wish his wife to die or faint, but this is advise for a committed relationship.

It does appear you have been weak in your communication with her, your posture, language, gestures seem not to be very objective.
Have you used deadlines to test her?
Has she been issued a warning letter, or dealt a disciplinary action?
Unless she's so valuable a person, you would have seen these signs before now.
Oftentimes when bosses get emotional with other gender, these things occur.
If you have contacts, get her with police. But be sure you are squeaky clean.
