I hold Eric in the highest regard as he was probably the no1 reason i started supporting United.

However appointing him as DoF would be an incredibly insane idea. He has no experience in the role and does not have a working relationship with the multitude of football agents in Europe or a track record of identifying and acquiring young talent.

Maybe they're trying to keep the family close.. Or maybe it's just rumor. The next couple appointments in coming months at United would really shape how things would turn for years..

Like I told someone here yesterday,, Lukaku's figures would definitely improve-- see when he came on today we still managed to create a couple chances even with a man out,, the chances created in the last 30mins of that match would easily equal the total attacking play in 90mins under Mourinho.. There's no way he won't get more chances and score/assist more in the process.. But one thing is certain,, the deficiency in his skillset would stick out like a sore thumb.. This fast pace,, one two football won't suit him,, e go just de try but no matter how much makeup you give for pig,, a pig would always remain a pig..

I disagree.. He'll definitely post better figures in an attacking setup cos he'll get more chances.. But his 'play' even for Belgium has always been suspect.. E no just get the skillset IMHO..

Well you are correct,, but when you look at the other options at Madrid at the time in comparison to what we have at United now I don't think we can afford the luxury of binning Lingod that fast.. Have in mind also that some of our boys',, especially Martial's performance drops after having a long run of games in the starting 11..

You play Martial, Rashford, Sanchez and we struggle to score a small team. Lingard comes in 78th and scores or helps to win. The next thing "Sanchez is a waste" "Rashford is headless chicken"

So far so good,, Rashford especially has proven to not be a headless chicken.. It has always been about the tactics for most of these guys.. Rashford and Martial should be posting similar figures to Sane,, Sterling and the likes in an attacking setup.. Let's see if Sanchez will give himself sense and not hug and cut the ball rather than pass forward like we've been seeing with the boys.. I am not sure Lukaku's skillset would fit in under OGS.. just picture Wilfred Bony under Pep..

For games against the small teams, yes but when we are up against the big guns where individual quality is sometimes all you need to decide a game, I don't fancy him starting.

He should be one of our top performers against the bigguns these past two years..
