Mama Winnie believed in the youth. She invested in the youth. The struggle was made up of psychological torture & trauma. This woman endured a lot.I wish God can give us the young women of today her strength & resilience as we face the struggles of today: patriarchy, black men we fear running into on any road after dark, HIV, poverty & the men who constantly want to own us and rape us.

You are right. But on the issue of drugs, the youths and police are not seeious about stopping it they must stop attacking the branches and cut off the roots. Nigerians just happen to be the major distributors, they should stop those who bring it in like somalians, Pakistan's, Indians and some Portuguese. This guys runs big super markets and behind that super markets they bring in drugs and the largest quAntity ever. South Africans knows this but they seems to be scared of any ppl with white complexion.

So true. The Asians bring what they use to make heroin and Crystal. Most have As documents ( the Pakistanis). No one harasses them. That's why blacks don't prosper. We are jealous and always looking for someone to undermine so we can feel better about ourselves. We have a looonnnggg way to go as a people (african) .

The truth is no one forces these girls to stay except for poor parenting structures oh lack of care from home. They then get into drugs and stay in brothels to feed theyre habits. No girl has been found in chains and ish. People must just look in the mirror and be honest why theyre really doing this. THEY looted in our area and stole plasma tvs from a nigerian food shop only to be recovered 3 days later. Its stupid actually.Problem Is SAPS is on Nigerians payroll so no solution there. Its just one embarrassing cycle.

Some people can nolonger think for themselves as a result. If only they realised what they could learn from people from outside the country.

anyway its not their fault, its the stupid leaders that we have that have ruined our country...if not who would even be interested to go and work, or study, or live in that HIV infested country

Hey y'll....The truth of the matter is that nigerians are not the only ones doing this drug business here.

Sa men just envy how they arrive with nothing and manage to build an empire buying cars in cash while south africans die of credit hence the looting.

Criminal elements are using this to loot.We dont have time to run around after girls who wanna be prostis....only unemployed lazy people do that. Its all just a way to steal...its envy. OUR people hate nigerians and envy them amd even envy them for taking their women apparently. Its petty.Pitty cops allow it to happen.

Angry Pretoria residents assault church pastor during violent protest

A Church minister felt the wrath of a mob of angry Pretoria residents on Saturday‚ who assaulted him during a violent protest against "Nigerians selling drugs and prostituting our children".
Share Article:

Police fired stun grenades to disperse the angry crowd‚ who were walking around the area to "search and burn spaces that are known to be selling nyaope to school children". At least two houses were burnt down.

The throng of community members‚ some drinking beer‚ entered Celestial Church of Christ in Atteridgeville planning to "search the church for drugs and any illegal activity".

Angry residents torch houses in Pretoria West
The church's prophet‚ Samson Sangojinmi‚ was immediately called. When he arrived in his Mercedes Benz he was assaulted by the mob‚ leaving his white robe bloodied before his congregation managed to drag him inside.

Prophet Samson Sangijnmi from Central Church of Christ is bleeding after he is being attacked by mob.

"F**k you‚ you're selling drugs‚ what's in that bag you are carrying?" shouted one resident.

"You Nigerians must go open churches and salons in your own countries‚ no one can survive on such alone without selling drugs‚" said another.

By then about 20 police officers had arrived and fired a stun grenade to disperse the crowd.

Paramedics treated Sangojinmi. The minister said he was hurt that people thought he would sell drugs.

"We help many people in this church‚ when they want food or a place to stay we help them. It's sad to see people attacking me even when I'm trying to talk to them‚" said Sangojinmi.

Prophet Samson Sangijnmi attacked by mob accusing him of selling drugs and also trafficking girls.

One woman‚ who refused to be named‚ said she had witnessed children in school uniform entering several of the houses they had searched.

"Some of the girls we found in the houses were high‚ wearing short outfits‚ who've ended up never leaving because they owed these Nigerians too much money.

"Enough is enough‚ we can't trust the police anymore because they never do anything to help us‚" she said.

Police spokeswoman Captain Augustinah Selepe said the group of people who targeted foreign nationals‚ started demonstrating early on Saturday morning.

She said that by the time police responded to the scene‚ two houses had already been burnt down. “Police are keeping a strong presence and are on the ground monitoring the situation‚” she said.

Saturday's violence follows similar protests recently in the southern Johannesburg suburb of Rosettenville.

Very true....some people are destined to be fat... regardless of what or how little they eat. To become slim by force would be unhealthy for them.... no matter how well they look. But damn.... too many people are fat..wayyy too fat not because of genes but because of what they eat, how much they eat and how often they eat... self made fatties.... then they sing the same song...some people are destined to be fat.

Obesity is without a doubt the greatest causw of early deaths in the world today.

The problem is that most women discuss fat on the basis of fashion and not as a serious health issue. It's not about fashion it's about health.

The good thing is that the problem of excess fat can be curtailed, just ask the likes of Missy Elliot.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT . I think most women tend to be ashamed and often turn to solutions that do not really help and end up giving up and getting bigger. It took me 4 years but I eventually spoke to my dr. about my weight issues. He took a cholesterol test band upon receiving these we discussed options to help me loose the additional weight I had to a healthier body weight. Obviously your diet needs to change which is VERY hard cause you gain weight due to poor eating habits/choices.Habits are not easy to change. He prescribed Duromine for me and i did a bit of research on it before purchasing and it worked wonders!! If anyone is serious about loosing weight let them discuss the different options avail. with a health professional. Diets are not easy to maintain..Now I am slowly reducing my dosage/strength to get used to eating less without medication..if you eat like a pig unfortunately you do end up looking like one and some people are emotional eaters...so not everyone will understand.

Nigerians always ready to blame government but never criticize themselves. If you reexamine the pictures you'd see that had Nigerian fans turned up for Keshi's funeral, the South African example would only be marginally better. The greatest discrepancy is the absence of fans in one and not the other.

LOTS OF CARING FANS THUS ATMOSPHERIC

Think of the fans as representing the citizens and the paramilitary as representing government. Remove the police officers standing guard in the South African example and the South African one would still look miles better than the Nigerian example. Fill the stadium in Nigeria with thousands of fan and regardless of the officers standing guard in South Africa, both ceremonies would almost be equal. Conclusion, the citizens of Nigeria are just as guilty as the government for Keshi's poor funeral.

Just my take...

Sad but true.

Family / Ever Had A Crazy Landlord...share Your Experience by khukhi(f): 10:25pm On Aug 02, 2016
So my husband and i moved in together 2 months ago after courtship/dating etc. He had been staying in a one bedroom cottage which also
has a sitting room, kitchen and bathroom. I would refer to it as a one bedroom flat only it is in a large property with a couple of other flats, about 3 other cottages.

When i first moved in it was his 33rd birthday and i made lasagna and we had a celebration with another couple at our home. I noticed that the landlady, who stays in the same property with her husband was always snooping around our cottage, as if attempting to see who my
partners wife is. So on the birthday i went to her introduced myself and brought Woolworth carrot cake, snacks and Lasagna to her and her husband.
Later on she brought my plates back and said thank you. I asked her if she liked it and she said:'' Funny enough I did''.LOL! I didn't read too much into it.

So i'm currently a studying and mostly at home. So if I need something my partner usually comes home from work midday to take me to the shops. He then drops me off and goes back to work.
He has a car business, purchases insured accident cars and sells them to clients through dealerships.

Now this landlady has been staying in the same property as my guy for 6 months before I moved in. He used to see me at my residents and would get home around midnight cause he hated being home alone. He is the kinda guy who is so busy that he wouldn't even have time to feed himself. He and the landlady + husband had no relationship except for them occasionally borrowings bucks from him...like 60k naira minimum.
Suddenly they had an issue with him driving in and out of the yard. He would come in about 2x- 3x before knocking off for one reason or another. And at times he would be using the different cars he works with especially while getting them repaired and painted etc.

One day that man came and said the neighborhood watch(security) is complaining about him driving different cars and driving in and out of the property and he told them that look...those people are just security and cannot say crap about my cars or movement so don't worry about them. If push comes to shove i'll handle it.

This happened 2x over a period of 2 weeks.
The next time he came with a different car..you should've seen that couple...it was like a Nollywood movie. He was at the entrance of the yard after driving in and opening the gate, they started shouting at 11Pm telling him they will show him they have warned him, they've been in SA for 18 YRS (husband) and the wife saying she's been there for 9 years she has an SA Identity document and if he doesn't respect them they will show HIM....screaming so loud making all those exaggerated village movie sounds...spinning in they're gowns and acting crazy.

It was shocking cause they were screaming while 3-4 meters away, we couldn't understand why cause A.) If there's an issue it was supposed to be discussed privately and B). why they noise in a quiet area as if to embarrass him or what.

My partner was very upset but chose to ignore them since they're in they're late 40's to 50;'s and therefore an older Igbo couple. He's older too. Only problem is that while this was happening they were insulting him, telling him he can't speak english properly (which is the same thing he had said about them the previous night to me lol!). They were also busy asking him which money is he chasing...which is funny since they borrow money from him.
Next thing my guy pressed the remote after dropping me when driving off but the gate did not close. He obviously didn't notice cause
we were chatting and laughing as he drove off.I knocked at the landlords door cause he lives close to the gate asking him to close the gate for me as my guydrove off thinking the gate is closed. I heard his wife in the background throwing a tantrum saying:'' every blessed day my b.f doesn't close the gate''!!!!!!!!! Which was not true.

After that whenever he drove in they would deliberately change the setting on the gate and change it to manual so that he is forced to open the gate by pushing instead of using the remote.
I have no idea what the obsession was with the remote. They kept harassing my partner who just ignored them regardless of the insukts they were throwing at him.2 weeks later it was month end and they gave us a month's notice to move out citing reasons as the security company complaining. As she was giving him the letter, she said :'' holy ghost fire, god will fire anyone who is disturbing me i'll show you''.
Month end came and they didn't want to give back our deposit till we called the cops.

The only encounter my guy had with this couple was when the wife invited him to her church which he kindly turned down. On sunday when giving back the deposit she said my b.f is busy with prostitutes (implying me LOL!) and that he is a criminal selling cheap
crack and renting cars to show off. I want to understand why she has so much hatred since she has no daughters my age, shes not my age mate im in my mid twenties.

What did I ever do to this woman...she never even responded when i greeted her and her man. Is it because im not a Nigerian...

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A CRAZY LANDLORD...SHARE YOUR STORY AND OPINION PLEASE...WHAT WOULD YOU DO...Ofcourse we didn't take this lying down.I will come back and tell you how
WE MADE THEM PAY...TODAY. THEY'RE CRAPPING IN THEY'RE PANTS AS I'M TALKING TO YOU IN THIS COLD SA WEATHER.

You raised very valid points there.

But you see, someone is always responsible and in this case its not me, or you.

Majority of the problems we face in today Nigeria are fundamental problems that proper planning would have prevented.

The NFA didn't publicize the lying in state ceremony. There was no advert on TV, Radio, Billboards and so one.

There was little commitment and planning from NFA.

If there's anything I know about Nigerians, its about there kind heart. I know Nigerians in their tens of thousands wouldn't mind leaving their various jobs to go pay their respect to the BIG BOSS. If it of course was a national event, or at least seen as such.

So yes, the Government was to blame.

Youre so right. Planning doesnt have to be expensive either. Especially when there are hash tags and social media...we dont spend on ads anymore.

Guys I think u r being to harsh. The circumstances of these 2 deaths differ. ONE was a natural death of a middle aged man, the other was a violent death of a young man who was at the peak of his career as a national teams captain. BUHARI is popular for saving costs. But Meyiwas death was a shock to the country i dont know if u get what im saying....but ur kinda right about the "national" thing not being there. They're presents wouldve been priceless (gov).

Let it simmer on low heat for a few minutes. Once the pasta is well cooked then you may serve.

Investing in 1 large skillet or a large none stick cookware is a brilliant idea for stir fry dishes.

TIPS : Do not over cook/over stir the dish.
Unless u like soggy/over cooked pasta.

It tastes really good! Hope you like it!

U need to cook the last stage slowly, being careful not to over mix.. Use low heat to ensure the mushrooms and pasta are sauted well and then mix the wet ingredients plus the cook in sauce and then add to the pan at once . You can use a mushroom sauce cooking sauce if you dont have the chicken ala king sauce.

Then add ur semi cooked pasta and toss for 2-3 minutes till all is mixed and sauted well.
1 - 2 cups of pasta will do.  I used 1.5 cups pasta.
