So we need to wait for "man" to interpret a scripture for us before we know what it right or wrong. What happen to our bibles at home, better yet common sense, ingenuity. Dont we pray/talk to God and God answers/shows us the answers. So he says it not a sin, do u believe that? Wether he right or wrong, how he percieve things does not dictate what I believe. Neither. Faith with out works is dead. If you study without making application it is to no avail. If u pray but fail to work in harmony with it or pray inappropiately it is vain.

African typically shy away from PDA include kissing in front of their kids. There absolutely nothing wrong with parents kissing in front of their kids. to keep it in perspective what kids learn at home is what they take to their home when they get older. I'm in disbelieve that people think kissing will corrupt kids mind wow theres going to be a generation of people who don't no how, when and to whom to show affection to. trust and believe kids will learn about kissing 1 way or another.Parents that show appropriate display of affection teach that affection can be shown between two people that care and love each other. As long as parents can draw a line btw showing love and lovemaking there nothing detrimental ab kissing in front of kids.

Whenever I cook (egusi,okra, ogbono, etc......) I always blended red peppers and hot peppers as the base of the soup.It was how I was thought to cook.I notice that many people, even online recipes I see use water or the meat stock as the base for stew. Does anyone prepare their soup likewise, or is this unnecessary? What recipes do you use with red peppers?

What wrong with this is not that it being truthful. The problem is that it feeding into stereotypes of how nonAfrican, particularly Americans, view Africans or Africa in general. Just look at the curriculum that is taught in schools in Am.; they mainly focus on war, proverty,disease, animals, pyramids. Really is that all Africa about! Maximus85: Kieryn, A church is not a place. It is the gathering of people who are discussing God and Jesus Christ. We choose Kingdom Hall because it is a Hall where we gather to teach and remind ourselves things about God's Kingdom.
So, Our Kingdom Hall is a place we meet. You can call people inside the Kingdom Hall a Church but we prefer to call it Meeting or Congregation... based on the fact that we want to be different. Infact in the Isrealite time and Jesus' era, Congregation is used. Exodus 12:6, Psalms 149:1, Proverbs 26:26.

Hmmmm..okay. So is "God kingdom" JW central theme? Why? It seem to be what you all talk about alot. A JW told me that it will bring about future blessings so her concern is not ab trying to make something out of life now but waiting for God's Kingdom to rule over the earth thats when she will enjoy life to the fullest. Explain that. Isn't God kingdom now in heaven. What is God Kingdom to you?

In the Jw, we make sure an individual has got the accurate knowledge of the Bible before baptism so that he/she can be fully aware of that decision to get baptised. Once saved, always saved has no Biblical backings.

So baptism is a personal decision. No infant baptism? "he who calls on the name of the lord will be saved? So there more to it?what's your belief on what it takes to be saved?

#1 So a couple of dingdong JW are alleged to bring molesters that not the whole organization or each JW

This is what happens to all JW forum it starts of with an objective and ends up being derail. Why cant someone simply share what their beliefs or answer questions without certain people having the need to air out someone dirty laundry, everyone has it we all humans.The OP aim is not to convert but to simply share his belief or answer any question about JW. Whether u agree or not that doesn't matter, take it for what it is their belief and not yours. If you do disagree, agree to disagree.Many people that come to make post (or the people that have these anti-JW websites) already have a strong dislike for JW or are disgruntled ex-JW, do you think that if I want to know what the JW are all about I will ask an opinion from them. When I no their aim is tear the religion down, there's no balance. yes you can loosen them. It takes time though. You will lose some hair in the process. Look on youtube for ideas.

I am super happy that Nigeria has a basketball team in the olympics. No other team in Africa made it that far. Neither is basketball our national sport. Wether they medal or not they have done amazing.

I'm one of those ladies that says I will never cook for a boyfriend.When I told my ex he found it hard to believe, but instead of pressuring or asking me to cook he simply found a way around it. He go out and buy whatever he needs to cook a meal, and then he ask me to come help him do this or that in the kitchen. Before you know it I, no we, were cooking together. He never complained about me not cooking, because we were always doing it together. When it comes to dating there no hard fast rules that , when people try to follow some set "rules" of dating it sucks the spontaneity and spice out of the relationship and make the relationship more rigid and monotonous. Cooking and cleaning (whatever wifely duties) are not requirements or duties that have to be followed. A women should do it just because..it something nice..it something special..Do what fits your relationship.
So no I wont cook for my boyfriend, better yet cook as wife would for her husband.

For the first time I'm flying local flight. I will land in Lagos and take a local flight(Arik Air) to fly to PH. I want to know what its like? How far is it to travel by taxi (on Friday afternoon) to catch local flight? I have heard the horror stories once leaving the Murtala to go to a local airline.....the final destination/ point of no return taxi cabs......the traffic jam that will cause you to miss your flight......the high prices of luggage....bribes......etc. Im truly just curious and want to know as much info as possible so I know what to look for.
