There is a point to everything. There was a reason for visions, dreams and tongues back then because "spiritual knowledge" was it infancy, the bible was not finished,
Fast forward today we have advanced "spiritual knowledge and a complete bible and pretty much everyone around the world has some understanding about god. what is the point of vision, dreams, and tongues. There purpose was served and no longer in use. As earlier said people speaking in tongues speak gibberish which has nothing to do with spreading "spiritual knowledge".

The use of "tongues ", speech to spread God's message in those time was effective since radio, print and other media were not available. As the bible message began to spread and advance no was no longer a use for prophecies and speaking of tongues.

FYI- Speaking in tongues today is babble, gibberish, whereas during the first century speaking in tongues, meant speaking a different language. Why the change?

I am just amazed at the fact that you able to loan him a million naira, especially when it for business and not for basic needs. Many people will never know what is like to have a million naira. It time to toughen up, stop given your dad money for business. Either your dad fixes his business or try something else. Cause it not working. It time to support yourself so that one day in the future you can support your family.

Nigerian food in America is different from Nigerian food in Nigerian. There are some substitute used to acquire the real thing America. If you ever get a chance to visit Nigeria please avoid all roadside eatery or prepare for a running stomach for the rest of your vacation. You will also realize that a lot of food items in America are non existent in Nigeria or too expensive.( I have yet to find ground beef to make spaghetti) So feel free to bring a favorite snack. American type food are prepared different Nigeria, like pancake, in Nigeria they tend to put onions and peppers in it. Overall Nigerian food is the sweetest, try different food from different tribes for an experience. Cheers!

My mom will iron clothes on my bed. Some how the very warm clothes will touch my foot. Waking me up very fast. Whether that was intentional or not I do not know.

Most of what everybody says about aa men seem stereotypical. In actuality no naija girl wants to deal with her family disapproval of dating non naija men.

I learn by sight. Mama never ate food cooked by her children neither by anyone else. She told me to simmer my meat and sauces not boil it to maintain flavor. To use cornstarch to marinate meat along with spices to keep it moist when cooked. Clean as you cook. How to make quick soup in 30 min or less. Remindin me that each soup is unique as the individual I have to come us with my style.

The difference is the viewpoint. When you courting a person you see this person as a suitable and potential marriage mate. To some extents (extremes) there is no physical contact kissing, hand-holding, touching. Family members are involved. And a chaperon is with the couple.

Dating seems more casual, getting to know someone better, forming friendships, noncommittal. Courtship follows dating. Teenagers should date.

Personally, whether I am getting to know someone or finding a marriage mate I simply call it dating.
