Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has debunked reports of him planning to decamp to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

During the weekend, an ex-Chief Whip of the Senate and chieftain of the APC in the state, Gbenga Aluko, alleged that Governor Fayose was making plans to defect from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Promptly reacting to the claim, Governor Fayose described the report as false.

The governor’sdismissal of the reports was issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Idowu Adelusi.

In the statement, Fayose stated that leaving PDP for APC is as good as “leaving Jesus Christ for Satan.”

The statement reads, “The news going viral that Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose is making move to defect to APC, is false. It is a figment of imagination of the APC which manufactured the story.

“Joining APC is like leaving Jesus Christ for Satan. It is like wanting to die by taking Gamalin 20, or planning to commit suicide by jumping down from skye scrapper.

“Fayose will never join the APC, rather, he would welcome APC members to the PDP.

“Fayose is preoccupied with plan to transit power from PDP to PDP Ekiti in 2018.”

From the present political structure of Nigeria, Buhari can rule two terms, and can even succeed at amending the constitution for Third or more Terms.

Buhari needs 25% of votes in 24 states to win. And 19 states are in the Fulani-controlled north whose politicians profit from the political status quo. All Buhari needs is "buying" or rigging five other southern states - easy.

The fraud started when northern military dictators created 20 new states (19 +Abuja) in one northern region, but allowed only 17 states in the two southern regions. Land mass is never used as yardstick to create new political units from existing political units in a country formed by different regions.


Same northern militarily dictators supervised the 1999 constitution without plebiscite to legit the fraudulent political structure.

Constitution is not supervised by soldiers from a particular region and imposed upon a country formed by many regions - worse, without the constitution subjected to any plebiscite.

OBJ tried to change the structure and constitution, but north used undue representation it gets from the undue large number of states to kill OBJ's political reform conference.

GEJ, at the beginning of his presidency did not seem to understand the role of the political structure and governance system in undermining economic development and political participation in the south. But at last, he agreed to a national conference. It was too late.

Now, APC commandeered by Buhari's north is gradually collecting the 36 states for a long term one party democracy commanded by Fulani-controlled north. Anambra may fall next Saturday.

Work has entered second stage at the Anambra International Airport City Project, Ivite-Umueri, Anambra East Local government Area of the State.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Orient Petroleum Resources, Engr. Sunny Okoye revealed this while briefing the Press on the extent of the work so far at the project site.

Engr. Okoye during the briefing displayed the structural designs of how the airport will look like after completion and expressed strong conviction that the company handling the project – Sino King is capable and will deliver the project within the three years time frame.

The Orient Petroleum Resources boss, also stated that the Airport City Project has been fully licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Contributing, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring, Engr. Emeka Okoye stressed that the Airport City Project is going to be the biggest project and legacy the Government of Governor Willie Obiano will deliver to Ndi Anambra.

Mr. Okoye who restated that the project will not cost Ndi Anambra anything, however said that contrary to opinions of the less informed that the Airport is going to be handed over to the Federal Government through Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), explained that that the duties of FAAN is to ensure that airports have necessary safety measures for airplanes and not claiming its ownership.

On his part, the Project Manager of Sino King, Mr. Yu assured Ndi Anambra that the Airport city Project will be ready in three years, as well as within budget.

Tom Agi, one-time special adviser on public transport, Edem Ekong, former Attorney General, Attah Ochinke and nine members of the state assembly.

“In a manner that has confounded all party members, HE, The Governor has on several occasions, openly expressed his support for the APC and even admitted that he has been funding the APC in the State. Indeed, and as if to confirm the foregoing, the only contracts awarded in the state are to members of the APC,” the petition reads in part.

The petitioners cited examples of Ayade’s empowerment of the APC to include; “the Boki link Road, a project with a contract value of over N4billion, was awarded to a chieftain of the APC, and 80% of the contract sum paid upfront;

“The Governor’s very first contract upon assumption of office, was for supply of Refuse Collection Bins. This contract was infamously awarded to another chieftain of the APC from the Governor’s Local Government Area;

“The Present State Woman Leader of the PDP, was the flag bearer of Labour Party in the 2015 general elections into the State House of Assembly. While still a Labour Party member, she was nominated by a chieftain of the APC and appointed by the Governor to serve as the PDP State Woman Leader! She has never bothered to decamp from Labour Party and has maintained her dual membership of the parties till date,” the petitioners wrote.

When contacted, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Ita, promised to call back on the issues raised but he never did, while other attempts to reach him failed.

Turaki said, rather, the party would field someone who would carry everybody along.

The ex-minister in an interview with Premium Times said the current government, under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari does not have regard for other parts of the country.

According to him, the former ruling party is looking for men and women of integrity, people that will be the new face of PDP.

He said, “We want people that will not have been part of the so-called impunity that have played out in the party before. People that will raise that hope among Nigerians. People that will inspire members of the party to go that extra mile in canvassing support for the party. So that at the end of the day, we will come up with men and women of proven integrity that will stand anywhere and that would be the first step that PDP will use in telling Nigerians that we have changed, this is a new PDP.

“By the time we get to the point of selecting our party’s presidential candidate, I assure you that Nigerians will be proud of PDP. We will come out with a man or woman of high integrity, somebody who is unassailable, whose integrity is beyond reproach, somebody that Nigerians will have confidence that even though we are going to bring a northerner, we are not going to bring a northern president.

“I want to assure Nigerians and it is important that Nigerians take note of this. Even though the presidency has been zoned to the north, we are not going to give Nigerians a northern president, we are going to give Nigerians, a Nigerian president of northern extraction. Northern presidential candidate for PDP in 2019 is a brainwave product of most apolitical Nwodo of Ohaneze.

A PDP northern candidate win in 2019 means northern president till 2027. All because Nwodo wants to be closer to Aso Rock.
