FlirtyKaren: President Buhari's media aide, Femi Adesina, has slammed those still criticizing President Buhari in an interview he granted in New York during the 72nd United Nations general assembly (UNGA).
The media aide who said President Buhari's critics are “professional critics” who will never see anything good in anything, further said the Nigerian President critics will still complain about God if they make it to heaven.
Cable reports that he spoke in response to the criticisms that trailed Buhari’s address to world leaders.
“Those that condemn the quality of the speech have a right to their views. The funny thing is that most of them may not have read, nor did they listen to the speech,” he said. .
“They are professional critics who never see anything good in anything. If such people mistakenly get into heaven, they will complain about God. There will always be naysayers around. As the saying goes, no drummer can ever please all dancers. .
If 98 people out of 100 praise you, there will always be the two, who will never see anything good in what you have done. We must learn to live with, and tolerate the views of such people. They have a right to their opinions" he said.

RationalTV: Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has stated that the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra will affect the chances of Igbos to produce Nigeria’s president.
According to him, the agitators had every right to complain about marginalization and not a call for separation from the country. He told newsmen on Thursday that IPOB was not good for the South East, and it was not the best way for them to complain about marginalisation to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He said, “There are better ways; the IPOB way is too primitive. If IPOB must do a thing like that it should have changed the name and fought the way Ijaw youths fought, Arewa youths fought, and they would have made more impact. For everything that comes from the Igbo man, we love to go to the extreme.
“Now you want to separate yourself from Nigeria, meanwhile, South-South will not go with you, Edo, Rivers will not go with you. If you cut us off here now as South east, if I need to go to Rivers State, I will go and ask for passport and visa, and we are keeping quiet to say this. “If there is a crisis now, there is no Hausa man in Igbo land who has a duplex, there is no Yoruba man who has a room and parlour or a N20 million investment in Igbo land, but Igbo have trillions of naira virtually everywhere.
“The same people are asking for secession. If Igbo are asked to go, what happens? They would lose their property, and all of us are keeping quiet, supporting IPOB! It was very childish, and those behind this should stop, that is my advice.
“South-South has produced the president, South-West has produced a president and Vice President, the north has produced many presidents, it is hoping that one day in the next shift, by whatever arrangement, the next people that should be considered is the South-East by Nigeria’s sharing formula. “So, where are we in our wisdom and the intelligence? That is my position on IPOB; my advice is that Igbo should change their style and condemn IPOB in a manner that should be done and let us flow with the rest of Nigeria for now because we shall benefit more than anyone else.”

The worst hate speech in Nigeria was authored by the group of northern Nigeria which used military dictators loyal to the group to restructure Nigeria politically to its advantage, and supervised a constitution which it imposed upon all in a most pluralistic country. Land mass is not used as yardstick to determine where new state can be created in a country formed by many different regions. And the group uses the undue political over-representation it derives from the undue large number of states it created for its north to stop every move at political restructuring in a democracy. Politics › Re: IPOB: Chidoka Slams South-East Governors, Rejects Army’s Terrorism Tag On Group by kikake: 2:06pm On Sep 19, 2017 |
MrRationalBlog: Frontline contender and candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP) in the November 18, 2017 Anambra governorship election, Chief Osita Chidoka has slammed the governors of the south East states for what he termed failure of leadership in their handling of issues relating to the agitation by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in the region. . Chidoka, who spoke while fielding questions during a national radio interview monitored on Monday also rejected the military’s declaration of IPOB as a terrorist group, saying the military was not in the position to do so without passing through laid down legal and constitutional provisions.
The UPP governorship candidate carpeted the governors for going beyond their constitutional and legal limits to announce a proscription of IPOB, which, according to him, remains a futility under the law. He said the governors failed in their mandate to adequately aggregate the views and interests of the people of the region to other parts of the country, a situation which created a vacuum leading to the escalation of agitations, and should have used the opportunity of the face-off to revert to the people and provide the much needed political leadership in the region.
According to Chidoka, “From a leadership perspective, it would be good on the part of the governors to do something to stem what was going on with the military, but in terms of the proscription of IPOB, the governors went beyond their mandate; they went beyond their legal capacity.
“All they needed to have done, if they were listening to the wishes and aspiration of the people of the southeast, was that, instead of calling for a meeting with Nnamdi Kanu, they should have conducted an opinion poll to find out what the issues were. He said the question should have been, ‘What do you want us to tell the government that you feel Nnamdi Kanu is saying that we are not saying?’ “Then they should be able to seek audience with the President or the vice President and say ‘these are the issues’.” “I believe that the failure of leadership on the part of the governors of the southeast became glaring to the whole country and their effort at announcing a proscription was beyond their legal limits. They should have used it as a basis to aggregate the views and channeling them appropriately”, he said.
Chidoka lamented that the military action occurred at the time the people of the southeast were already reviewing the modus of the agitation to ensure that it was not in negation of other ethnic groups in the country.
Faulting the military, Chidoka said it was not in a position to declare IPOB a terrorist organization, without following certain established legal actions. “To declare an organization a terrorist organization requires certain legal action to be taken. Those legal actions were not taken. The military is not in the position to declare an organization a terrorist organization. So I think, fundamentally, the declaration was an act in futility.
“First and foremost, I think that government should follow the due process of the law to criminalize the activity of any group including IPOB if it violates the law of the country of Nigeria.
“Once they do that, then they will go to the next stage of getting the police to enforce that law. If in enforcing the law, the organization turns into an insurrection, then you can go back to the military. Anything short of that is unconstitutional and an action in futility”, he said.
Chidoka further called for auditing of the activities of the military saying such would help de-escalate the tension in the region.
“Now that this military action has happened, it is critical that we audit what happened. It is important that the claims of death and killings and no death and no killings need to be audited.
“That auditing mechanism that we have in the National Assembly, that ability to go back and look at what has transpired is important for us to deescalate the tension in the land.”
Chidoka, insisted that rule of law and dialogue, rather than force and subjugation of voices hold the answers to the agitations not only in the south east but among other groups in the country. .
. Source: http://RationalTV..in/2017/09/rationaltv-ipob-chidoka-slams-south.html The present crop of Southeast governors don't even understand the imbalance in Nigeria's political structure; they don't even understand that the political process of Nigeria is flawed. Cacawa2: In June 2013, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan proscribed Boko Haram as a terrorist Organisation. This, he did, without any recourse to the High Court as most people would expect; and reasonably so.
There are two sections in the TPA act that may be deployed into making such declarations: Section 2 and; Section 9.
The TPA act makes provision for the declaration of a group as being a Terrorist group on a number of grounds.
It is very easy to refer to Section 2 of the act which makes provision for a process that involves judicial processes, procedures and pronouncement. Most applicable to local terrorism.
However Section 9 of the actmakes express approval for the executive arm to immediately declare a group as a Terrorist group. This is specifically in relation to international affiliations and sponsorship.
In the case of IPOB, there is reliable Intel available to the Nigerian Army suggesting the foreign links and backings of IPOB to certain international terrorism networks.
The move by the Nigerian Govt. is therefore in order and can only be upturned by any aggrieved person who takes the matter to a court of competent jurisdiction. In the mean time, the declaration remains in full force and anybody (either physically or over the internet), found to be soliciting for a terrorist group may be found culpable.
Let us be enlightened.
Regards,
CACAWA2

(2) There was no evidence to adduce regarding any foreign backers of IPOB before somebody in his wild imagination declared IPOB a terrorist organization. |

Mrl1: Former Abia State governor, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, has revealed what will end the needless agitations in the south eastern part of the country.
According to Kalu, creation of an additional state in the South-east zone, would put it at par with the other zones in the country.
Kalu made this submission when he spoke with newsmen during annual youth summit of Junior Chamber International, Ikoyi, hosted by the Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation at Camp Neya, his country home in Igbere, Bende LGA.
He said the decision of the government to proscribe the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) remained the only option that would guarantee stability which he said the country needs desperately at a time like this . “I think a lot of hate speech had engulfed the country, and the matter escalated because the IPOB leader refused to abide by the terms of his bail. If he had agreed, and probably appealed against the conditions, the situation wouldn’t have gotten to this point. When two people are fighting and the court says, don’t fight, you obey the court. The court decision was not a personal decision of Justice Binta Nyako but the decision of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Kalu explained.
“Some of you know what Ojukwu said here when he was alive, one day it will be made public. If we say we are marginalised, everyone is marginalised. We are marginalised because our people refuse to work. As soon as one becomes a governor or minister he buys houses in Ikoyi and abroad and the people will celebrate him.
“Remember when I was governor, the army and police used to do joint patrol. We should not box ourselves into a corner because my conscience will not allow me to do what is evil,” he said.
“The demography of this country shows that if you go to Kontagora, after the aborigines the next is the Igbo. The same with Jos, Kano, the West, name it, so we need the peace and unity of the country more than anyone else,” he said.
The former governor and chieftain of APC, however, appealed to the Federal Government to take the issue of restructuring seriously, saying, “We have gone past going to Abuja to share money every month.”
He pleaded with the federal government to go back to the 2014 confab report, “The South East zone should have one more state,” Kalu said, lamenting that rather than discuss the interest of the zone, “some Igbo leaders go to the president with the CV of their wives and children, but I go to him to tell him the problem of the people.”
“We need peace everywhere, we condemn hate speeches,” Kalu said.
