May 29, 2019.

On this day, people of Imo state shall reclaim their state from the Mayor of Owerri, Rochas Okorocha.

In six years, Mayor Okorocha used federal allocations to the 27 lgas of Imo State, as well as the state's federal allocations, to demolish, rebuild, often duplicate, triplicate or even quadruple whatever project he likes in Owerri. He wants to be seen in Owerri as presidential material.

The rest of Imo state outside Owerri stagnates, decay, written off.

Who on this planet can say what sins Orlu committed against Rochas Okorocha by giving him the highest number of votes in 2011?

Orlu risked everything if Ohakim had won in 2011.

But it has become political suicide for Orlu to give Rochas Okorocha the highest number of 30000+ votes, highest than any of the 27 lgas in the first ballot; votes that assured Okorocha for the supplementary elections against PDP's rigging machinery then.

Okorocha, Orlu shall never forgive you for the sins you committed against us. You have one year to retrace your steps.

All five universities and polytechnics in Imo state are in or nearest Owerri.

Orlu which has no tertiary institution gave the highest number of votes to Rochas Okorocha in 2011 and begged him to establish a public tertiary institution in Orlu area.

Instead, Okorocha built another university campus in Owerri Mbaise-Nor-Okpalla.
He built a new college of education in Okigwe zone.

But he built his private university in his hometown Ogboko. It's common knowledge that private university has little or no benefit to the area it's located.

Okorocha sold his political credit in Imo state beginning in Orlu.

Which vote?

Orlu lga voted highest - 30000+ votes for Rochas in 2011. But Rochas practically declared war of underdevelopment against Orlu.

Rochas destroyed more roads in Orlu after dualizing about 5km existing roads which he placed street lamps upon and says he has made Orlu a city.
Politics › Re: Rochas Okorocha Demolishes Dan Anyiam Plaza In Owerri (Photos) by kikake: 8:11am On Oct 10, 2017
Alas the demolition must be for Okorocha's private business interest.

This is road leading to Imo state university teaching hospital Orlu scrapped by Rochas Okorocha since 2012, for his private business interest, to make IMSUTH non-viable in its present location, so that he finds reason to trade IMSUTH with Owerri for him to fully own Eastern Palm University in his hometown in Ideato south lga.

Gov. Okorocha governs only Owerri.

Mbakwe governed Imo with Aba, Owerri, Okigwe, Orlu and Umuahia as cities.
Mbakwe provided in every city what he provided in others. He even provided for lgas and their HQs.

JEEEEZ!! OMG!!!

Who did this to Imo people? Demolition, destruction, invalidation -

Is he going to build another of his City Schools here?

Owerri people lament over Okorocha building City School on every corner of their town.

Gov Okorocha asked the heads of his Owerri City Schools to use Cut-off marks to select applicants.

In 98% of Imo state, lots of secondary school roofs are blown away since 2012, no roads leading to the schools, Okorocha does not care, so long as they are not in Owerri.

Okorocha wants people to see the Owerri City schools and his other white elephant projects in Owerri and begin to take him for a presidential material.

Of course years ago a prison in Europe is better than our 5star hotel.
Governments no longer run prisons in many parts of the world. Imprisonment is even no more emphasized for convicts, except for habitual criminals and sex offenders who are likely to be dangerous to society if left outside prison. Hard to imagine what Okorocha thinks he is doing with prison.

In the same Avu area near Obinze, , FUTO has acquired vast acres of land where it shall soon start a university teaching hospital. So prison and teaching hospital side by side is not funny.

Don't mind the doctored reportage. The prisons and police headquarters located at the heart of Owerri is simply being relocated to Avu town which is only about 8 kilometers away. Okorocha has built more schools and hospitals than any Governor in Nigeria.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8h1G44ZLEA
Name any functioning hospital in Imo state except Federal medical centre.

Roads to Imo state university teaching hospital Orlu were deliberately scrapped or abandoned by Gov. Okorocha, because he wants to relocate IMSUTH to Owerri to placate Owerri when he shall announce that remaining govt shares in his Eastern Palm University in his home town has been fully purchased by a private organization - Rochas Foundation. Since 2012, IMSUTH started to quench, salaries owed doctors to make them leave, darkness all over IMSUTH at night, he refused to go for accreditation of medical courses. Alas, last October, Okorocha called barely-informed local chiefs in Orlu and told them to sign that IMSUTH is not viable in Orlu. As if he did not know that even if you locate a hospital in a cave, so long as the owner of the hospital runs it efficiently, patients from all over the world shall visit for cure. He so much infuriated the pillars of Imo state with that IMSUTH act.

But by 2007, IMSUTH was so viable that it was rated among the best ten teaching hospitals in Nigeria.
Just 1/1000th of money which Okorocha uses to build prison, inland roads, flyovers, tunnels, 8 to 10 lanes streets in Owerri could have asphalted the 1km road to IMSUTH which Okorocha abandoned since 2012.

Dud, Okorocha is overplaying his malicious ways. Yours Truly sacrificed a lot to have him elected in 2011. But let him mend his ways, make you help remind him that 2019, he shall be out of govt house.

You can now see the reason why I support iPod but y'all are too emotional to see the big picture. Ipob is a means to an end. Their agitations made a lot of things to happen. People are now seeing that one Nigeria is a fraud and the biggest scam. Fine, we Yorubas have been advocating for restructuring long since before kanu came on board but we cannot deny the fact that Ipob agitations played a key role in making states and Southerners to stand up and speak in favour of restructuring.

But you guys were so happy that the military dealt with ipob. you were having hard on about the military invasion and killing of unarmed protesters. Y'all happy about the demise of Ipob.

Now, that ipob have been decimated, what next? I wonder why you guys don't know that this military invasion was a tactics by the Hausa Fulani to kill every agitation and demand for restructuring. They thought ipob is making people to speak up and demand for justice. They see it and know that impact of ipob. Ever since that Ibadan summit, The north has been unsettled. They made an unanimous decision to eliminate KANU once and for all, damning all consequences. Now it is done and y'all are happy.

it's fine. Mark my words - we should all kiss restructuring good bye. Once again, the southerners have lost. note this.

Funny enough, when someone speaks the real truth, you're always keen to say they're not Yoruba. isn't this surprising that a statement such as this is coming from you:

"Those asking for Biafra are far much more sensible than my Yoruba people that are asking for regionalism.

We should also start questioning your Yorubaness since that's all you do when slapped with hard facts.

Yoruba is asking for regionalism just for passing time, until oil proceeds may not flow much. Regionalism cannot work anymore. You can't ask a Yoruba from Ekiti or Lagos to return to Ibadan as regional capital

Neither can you expect an Owerri man who is used to seeing that every development in Imo must be meant only for Owerri capital city to return to Enugu for regional capital.

Those agitation for Biafra were right, because it is not possible to restructure Nigeria politically anymore.

And as the Yoruba and Igbo fight each other for which of the two gets a better crumb, what Kano and Katsina states alone say remains a law in Nigeria.

More than 90% of Yoruba do not understand that land mass is not used as yardstick to create new political units in a country formed by many regions. So north gets away still with the twenty new political units which northern soldiers forcefully created in one northern region, but allowed only seventeen units in two southern regions. This particular structure of 36 states and Abuja makes northern politicians derive political over-representation to lord it over all of Nigeria.

If Igbo say restructure or dissolve the country of unequal partners, Yoruba shall respond with hostility that Igbo wants to seize the oil wells in the non-Igbo southsouth.

Owerri people see tunnels and flyovers as symbols of Owerri becoming a Mega Metropolitan City. But in reality, flyovers and tunnels are very disadvantageous to a city because they waste space and cause too much obstruction, apart from being very expensive to erect and sustain.

Tunnels and flyovers are the last resort which urban city planners go to in a city not well planned.

Hatred for people in one other city in Imo state is reason why the governor made Owerri the only city he knows for development in Imo state, after expanding about 5 km of existing roads in Orlu and Okigwe in 2012 but left many more kilometers abandoned in Orlu and Okigwe since 2012.

And it's believed that no Jupiter can ever make Okorocha return to Orlu and Okigwe to complete those abandoned roads.
