if you've ever discussed corruption in high places in the midst of the average Nigerian, you would relate to it

after talking about the billions being embezzled by our politicians, it almost always end with "God would punish them, most here on earth and all in hell"; they'll use Abacha's death, Adedibu's death etc as example of god losing Patience with them

they'll then give examples of the rich man and Lazarus to buttress the hell example, some would even talk about certain people who died, went to hell, saw our popular politicians there and god gave them the chance to come back and tell the tale

now try to imagine if there's no idea of eternal bliss after this one we all are living, Nigerians would have been much better for it, they won't look at corruption in a neutral manner but as a horrible thing that needs to be nipped in the bud fast so that this bird at hand (earthly life) you have won't be made to be so unbearable

"Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the corrupt" has never been truer than Nigeria

So what then do you propose? How do we deal with the corrupt politicians? Do we murder them? That again is also a form of anarchy. Wisdom is the principal thing here, and if we believe in a just judge above all we must know when and how to act to help our nation. There are also times where in order not to make a sour situation worse we can do nothing but to leave it to a superior judge above all. Also the bible verses he quoted do not correlate with his points, especially the ones in points 5 and 6.
The article is well written though, and there are elements of truth in it but the author blows things out of proportion sometimes.

Points 5 and 6 do not look to be very sound points though.

To be frank, ever since l began watching our female youth teams in 2008, l have never seen a team as bad as this team, that lack ideas upfront. Even in 2008, when they failed to get past the first round, the likes of Ebere orji entertained even my mom who doesn't watch football that often, but there's almost nothing to be proud about as far as this team is concerned. They should all focus on their studies and forget football for now except maybe Rasheedat and opeyemi sunday( though they were not also really exciting to watch).

Nigeria beats Northkorea then they qualify, simple. I don't see England getting a draw with Brazil.

To be frank, Nigerian teams at any level and any gender(male, female, hermaphrodite) are usually known for their attacking style and yet not so good defense, but this team seem difficult to break down but lacking in attacking ideas.

I expect the game to be physical, so it comes down to the officiating. I watched Cameroon vs Venezuela yesterday and the ref was unkind to the Cameroonians. I expect us to get the same treatment today and we may be out of the tournament before 4pm today.
Whichever way it goes, its been a good exposure for the gals. FIFA is not Africa friendly when it comes to women competition. Its like a cult.

Of a truth, this is what l hate about the south american style of football, but then l still blame our girls for their lack of tactics. If they were more tactically aware they would have frustrated the Brazilians with more accurate passing and possessive football (yes it was possible). My major concern here is how we play as well as our creativity, l know that Rasheedat and Cynthia can take their chances, but sometimes the midfield is where a game is usually lost or won. I wish Naija good luck and all the best.

I'm very sure this team will improve, they didn't have the much time to prepare and play intl friendly.

That's what l complained about at the beginning, preparing for a tournament only by playing Amazon Babes or Osun Babes is not good enough. Also the Brazilian girls were always quick to fall, if we had played Columbia or Paraguay in a friendly for instance we certainly could have been aware of such tricks now and would have learnt how to deal with such. Anyway we would get better from now on l believe.

Lol na now you won blame sport management? calm down l still believe in the girls though. I said it before that they kept playing the likes of osun babes in a friendly and needed international friendlies but let's hope for the best still. Nigeria would win, the match is not over yet.
