She looked at my suit and insulted it. By the way, that was my best suit. I bought that suit for the Diamond Awards for Media Excellence, because I won an award for action photography.Eeyah ![]() See oppression ![]() |
Congrats to Nnedi. Brilliant writer. Time to pick up Akata Witch then. |
I re-read the report and it's lame. These people are still agreeing, they are not fighting at all. ![]() This does nothing for me. They need to be at each others neck for oppressed Nigerians to see any radical change in their salary and spending. |
Shots fired! Although I'm sure these looters will protect each other eventually. GEJ should answer by sponsoring a bill to cap the salary of these looters at minimum wage. Of course he won't ![]() If you cannot serve us on minimum wage go and start a business. Politics is not by force. Awon jaguda gbogbo ![]() |
Did somebody high up cover up this story? It has been removed from the link, it seems only The Punch carried the original report. Where is this boys family? The mother especially, who was also a witness according to the story. Silenced? ![]() |
^ Carry your cargo abeg. Sylvia na spoilt market. But why did he burn The Nation's property though? Na violent lovemaking stylee be that o |
Unfortunately, the executive "owns" the judiciary here. So an unfavorable case will likely stall in the courts. ![]() |
Damn! Adimeru don lose weight. Sh/it business is serious business o |
Beaf:And you keep telling me you are not connected. This one wey u dey chop alone no good o. Anyway beaf., let ACN speak. I see no evidence of this connection yet. All I see is internal PDP politics. We need to first address how Sylvia, the PDP darling + his party failed Bayelsa people so woefully before we can sell him to another party. They can't just sell bad market like that, we must do appraisal. |
Is Sylvia not the PDP Governor of Bayelsa State? Did Sylvia not win the last PDP primaries? Then the Gov. Election as a PDP candidate? So why this crude attempt to dump a Useless and current PDP cargo on another party? I hope ACN people are not falling for this evil propaganda. PDP Bayelsa must carry their load, Na dem buy the market. |
Section 41 Nigerian Constitution: Fundamental Rights (Freedom of Movement)I guess Mr Ababakasanga has now placed himself in a position where he will have to prove that these Citizens of Nigeria committed a crime or at least prove the crime he reasonably suspected them of committing. I'll also wait for the victims of this violation to tell their own side of the story. I find it hard to believe that those folks kept mute and did not say a word to the policemen. They did not even say "we are going for a visit" or "to attend a court appearance" or "a meeting" They just went mute?? ![]() |
That's right! All us rascally Lagosians just instituted the same rule: If you don't have an appointment with the Governor, or the Oba, of Lagos, don't even THINK of resting there. Ma rin lo! ![]() Kilode?! Kilode?! Kilode?!
Isale bawo ni jare. E joo, e ma se bi e ti to o If you do as you big reach, we alejos and squatters for Lagos go suffer o. Visa to enter Lagos go hard pass NY own. Anyway I'm off to queue for my Abuja visa at Lokoja Border. Dem don divide Nigeria into two. Wish me luck. |
You are right, I didn't look at the Lagos numbers that way initially, that % of debt to revenue is pretty low. I don't have The real Lagos debt:revenue numbers, we are just assuming this DMO data is good. |
Ekt, I was half kidding, but I just can't call 6 stadium "capital" anything. I know for sure that many of the water, health and agricultural projects we have in our states are partly funded by ADP, DFID IFC e.t.c. Those projects go through better due process from consulting > award> completion. And I assume that they keep records of what we owe them and expect us to pay back. If I get data on state revenue/expenditure i'll post on the thread. |
His words: “Somebody that is going to Abuja, should be ready to tell us his mission. So, since they don’t know their mission to Abuja, we stopped them from moving further. This is why you don't Staff your police service with im/be/ciles. This is why you don't promote idiooots. This man should have just kept quiet. |
^ In this part of the world, at 13, you can't even ask questions about money and sex, talk less of questioning God in front of elders and pastors. They would've chased him out with slaps and multiple konks on his head. ![]() |
^ This was probably the picture he saw. There are others, worse than this. At 13, it's hard to comprehend such evil and suffering I don't blame him.https://www.lifemagazineconnection.com/images/7-12-68.jpg http://digitaljournalist.org/issue0309/images/life/biafra.jpg This one is heart wrenching ![]() |
Beaf:One day Aregbesola go troway you one hot slap. I go buy the video walahi ![]() |
You actually raise a good point. How has the debt evolved over time? I honestly wish record-keeping in naija weren't so damn poor ![]() Btw, here is a table of the debt loads (thanks to Beaf for that formatting, less work for me): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0AsNUaGBnBF1KdGxWRUc4aTNjbFc1VkFNa2xQdmlKbFE&output=html
That was quick ( the spreadsheet ) Yes the debt load % looks very small on average. Lagos looks high though. Ekt_bear can you get data on ratio of State revenue to recurring expenditure? That will be good to know. I suspect the debt is low because they are actually focused on embezzling available revenue ![]() Seriously, I won't be surprised if these debts are actually for capital projects they were forced or shamed into by multilateral organizations like UNDP, World Bank, DFID, ADP and co. |
^ That aside, with the exception of Lagos, most of the borrowing probably happened during 8 years of PDP rule in those SW states. They def didn't borrow all that between April and today. Didn't Gbenga Daniel try to raise some 500m bond shortly before he left? |
Omisore, Oyinlola vs Professor AdeyeyeIt should be an Abomination to put Adeyeye's name in the same line with those two pigs. DK, May we be forgiven. ![]() |
Hahahaha, Sorry 'bout that. The name Eyowo is, well, Yoruba in origin. It's "E yo Owo" which loosely translates to "To bring out Money" (sorry, my Yoruba sucks) Again, thanx
I totally like the name. Very apt! But your translation has K-leg tho( your translation is plausible but unusual) I take that to mean you have nothing to do with the naming of this platform. Eyo owo = Cowrie Shells . The logo actually looks like one. |
Seun don Censure b.rea/st for NL again? That Seun boy na Aro Walahi ![]() |
UYCO:So how much did you say her foundation is worth again? Billions? una money don finish if na true ![]() Breast cancer awareness is a good thing tho. But who gave her the money? post her foundation website. |
^ E be like sey I see small thing for dia o. maybe na fake sha, what do I know ![]() She looks like her father tho. |
He said overheating the state could distract government attention and would force it to channel its scarce resources into maintaining peace and beefing up security instead of focusing on developmental projects.Kai! Uduaghan wants them to stop protesting about lack of development and jobs so as to prevent a situation that will cause him to stop spending money on development and jobs. You've got to give it to Nigerian Politicians. They are masters at vomiting absolute fuckery. |
But this kind of act, if true, will hurt GEJ and his FG, not help him na ![]() I don't know why the police or maybe GEJ's aides are trying to sabotage him. Who did the cops receive "orders" from? I hope they have a good explanation for this. |
UYCO:I guess this partly answers Sagamites question here -> https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-546215.0.html |
They have not yet started. Dont worry, I've got Seun's back, Ekiti style
We believe you, Ileke Idi. The one woman battalion ![]() |
I'm sure they will soon start harassing Seun Osewa, that is if they've not started. Keep us posted Seun. I don't trust that nest of killers |
