Just send it to famous Nigerians on Twitter, they will pick from there, or post it on local station's Facebook pages, some have e-mail adresses and contact info on their websites too.

As long as we have power decentralized to the smaller units nearer to the individual communities.

If they want to merge or split up further, then let them. As long as they can survive on whatever they produce, and whatever businesses they can attract. If they can't, no one will need to tell them to find some place to merge with.

Keep the Central Naija identity through defence, cental currency policies and Federal Universal Laws, but protect the local ones too as long as they do not violate the agreed-to laws. It is possible.

These by the way, are the same points a lot of sensible Nigerians had been making for decades now. We will all be alive to see what the next dispensation will bring.

I really do not see anything wrong with an Urhobo "State" (State: as in political administrative block) distinct in its character, local laws and administrative responsibilities. I think we allow the idea of a State to scare us too much because we share Oil money monthly + of course the impact of colonial rule and the way Nigeria was created.

If Delta state communities can sort their issue out and create 100 counties out of that state, it will work as much as having 3 regions, the UK has almost 50 counties, which work like states in the Nigerian sense. I understand a lot of them were created out of the geographical boundaries of Old Kingdoms, some dating to pre-Norman rule. UK's Sussex county for example must have been split once or twice before into west and east, Cities get re-organized everytime in the US, We can do the same. why not?

Cities in the USA operate like Nigerian states, with Mayors and Councils in charge of everything from utilities to codes to independent School boards, there are thousands of them.

We have 774+ Local government in this country each with administrative heads and fake Lawmakers with no duties more that sharing money from Abuja. nonsense! same with our so called 36 states.

Why can't we have 250 Admin counties based on our languages, cultural affinity and shared history? what is the difference between 250 and 774+ or even 1000 or 10,000. Why stop at 36 or 774?

because we have shortsighted and corrupt leaders, who are themselves victims of a society bastardized by self hate and a legacy of subjugation and oppression from outsiders, both Home and foreign.

Did you listen to what Tim Sebastian said about their assessment of the 2003 election? It mirrors the same assessment they gave to this same rigged elections, International Republican Institute, IDI and others are just trying to prevent another conflict in West Africa. I can't blame them though.

GEJ will win this election no doubt. Buhari cannot save Nigeria neither can Ribadu.

It is sad that you see Buhari as a mess and GEJ as an angel and a saviour, don't get carried away by political rhetoric. Politics is a game of spin. Vote whoever you like, but remember that politicians are masters of spin and politics is a game of interests.

Buhari and Ribadu are the better candidates IMO, but since they cannot form an alliance I support Buhari because I believe he has demonstrated the greater resolve to deal with the issues I consider paramount.

If you've read my post in the last few months, I believe you will see my reasons for that.

At the end of the day, I pray you will be around to question your leaders when they refuse, not just fail, but refuse to do the things they've promised you. I'm confident I will, I hope you will stand by your people and question them too

Just be a smart Nigerian about politics, demand for good service from whoever wins and call them out if they fail to deliver.

I don't know anybody here personally, this is a faceless forum to me. BUT I'm humbled by and proud of the Men and Women I've collaborated with so far on this thread. Their passion represents the Nigeria of my dreams.

@ Topic, merger is not a do or die affair. PDP is as unsure about the results of this coming election as anybody else, if they are not scared, they will not be negotiating up and down.

Let's focus on the messages we can send before Saturday, the BB campaign has come a long way already to scare PDP this much in such a short time, folks should be proud of that.

Let's keep sending those SMS messages, our people are not block-heads a lot of people can reason for themselves and some will not decide until they get to the polling booth.

Preventing rigging should be the focus now.
