If you read his analysis of Buharism, you will see that he talked about draconian laws.
SLS knows that  draconian rules do not work in democracy and he know Buhari enough to say he is not suitable for Democracy!

I'm not worried about people like Agaba and Beaf, they know what they are doing and they know why they support Jonathan. I'm worried about the gullible Nigerians who base their support on silly things like ethnic sentiments and goodluck smily faces.

I agree with a lot of Sanusi's conclusions here, but considering the poor candidate pool we have and the fact that we need to stamp out corruption and remove the influence of those who are holding our people to ransom, like Sanusi, I also concluded that I WILL VOTE BUHARI and others should do the same.

This write-up from a respected Nigerian has shown that Buhari is not as rigid as his opponents try to claim. he made very flexible, very pragmatic choices as a leader.

Haba Kilode? You know better nooow!! Resurfacing is the first and quick fix solution. That road was a death trap. It needed a quick remedy.
I agree that it needs a a wider road but that would take at least 5 years of construction to put an 8- 10 lane on that road. Lekki Epe which is just 50km and 4 lanes is taking more than forever, talkless of 8 lanes on a 400km (Benin-Lagos) road. The plan I think is to enter a PPP that would make an 8 lane a possibility.

Asides, the plan for the Calabar- Lagos coastal road project and the Calabar Lagos Railway project which when on stream would make the Benin- Ore road less congested. These are some of the reasons why any reasonable person would thumbprint Umblerra for Jonathan come Saturday!!

This Government is doing great things quitely at a very steady pace!!

My guy, resurfacing is not the solution to the problem on that road, dunno about you, I practically grew up travelling on the Benin-Ore-Sagamu road, I was on that road few months ago.

I really expect more from you as a Nigerian, and probably a Southerner, we've lost friends and relatives on that road, we all have tales to tell about the Benin-Ore-Sagamu road. You and I can count how many times that road has been resurfaced in the last 20 years, plenty!

I do not know what your expectations are papabrowne but You will agree with me that for a road that carries a large chunk of our economic activities and our loved ones -if you are middle class like me- IT DESERVES MORE THAN A MERE RESURFACING!

The Abuja Lokoja road will be a 10 lane road. this road Linking WEST and EAST practically built Nigeria, they promised an expansion to 5 lane each since democracy restarted in the early 2000. Mimiko still complained about that unfulfilled promise few months ago. Anenih choped money, Ogunlewe choped money, PDP choped the money. That is the reason road projects take forever in Naija,

Then they dangle lame carrots and expect us to start? clapping. Classic oppression tactic = make them suffer so much that they will accept crumbs as a banquet

Early last year, we had to pass the bush travelling that road. In the bush there was a massive hold up. That tells you how bad it was.

I've been through that horror before too, dunno if it's worse now.

Papabrowne, we can applaud GEJ for other things, not for resurfacing this road.

Even Military killers resurfaced it, they always resurface it. let's not get carried away by political gimmicks, demand for a permanent solution.

That road is too dangerous as a dualized two lane road with the massive amount of traffic that passes through everyday, very dangerous. We all can't fly Arik Air.

Don't allow politicians to keep bamboozling you. Your people deserve better.

@GenBuhari, I understand your passion and your point, but we simply do not have the resources and capability to conduct exit polls on the ground and make people see that as enough evidence to challenge election results, The Nigerian law and our political culture is not designed to recognise that yet, it will not convince gullible Nigerians and get the reactions we need if PDP rigs.

Now, you can create an exit poll on Nairaland and ask Jarus and other MODs to sticky it for us, tops we will have 500 to 1000 comments on it, it will not constitute an evidence of rigging. it Will not make people doubt these PDP lies. it's just Nairaland.

I'm certain PDP is rigging this election. I posted a story about CPC challenging the Nasarawa result yesterday and I'm sure you've seen other challenges in Kwara, Sokoto, Abia and Anambra, Only gullible and any-thing-goes Nigerians will call this election free and fair. I agree with you on that.

To wake the people up to challenge this subtle PDP rigging CPC is now asking for party mandated agents and volunteers, because the lack of that critical logistic led to massive rigging at the rural areas and at the collation centers last week.

The argument for more party agent and CPC eyes in the rural and urban areas is that, if CPC party agents have documented evidences of rigging and also refuse to accept or sign doctored INEC result sheets, then we will have a basis to challenge PDP's rigging both legally and by popular uprising.

The PDP strategy is simple: make GEJ look nice, humble and fair so the people will not hate him like they hate PDP, but still rig massively when they are not looking,: at collation centers, rural ares, government offices Police stations. e.t.c

Unfortunately millions are drinking that GEJ cool aid, but with evidence of rigging and the hard core rejection of doctored results by CPC and ACN, GEJ's fake persona will be clear for all to see, then we can ask the people to come on the streets and challenge them.

PDP is sure playing with fire, but we must do our best to make sure they get burned.

^^ As long as you are ready to work and serve our people with integrity you can always come back and try again, politics can be very forgiving, it's nice to read that you appreciate the criticism, that is the beauty of representative democracy.

Get the grassroots excited sell your vision and ideology and keep trying. Your people are worth the trouble if you really want to serve them.

OGD is an Awoist to the core, even more so than Tinubu.  Omisore is an awoist, just like Akande. Williams started in AD, but left because of lack of internal democracy. Olusegun Agagu started from AD.

So how is ACN different from PDP? We need to stop fooling ourselves, else, these guys would continue to take us for a ride.

I agree with you in principle, I cannot defend the excesses of those people, but it's easier to deal with your freak than someone else's b$$$ch. remember, those people were largely appointed by OBJ aside from OGD who I believe actually won, some may disagree.

I think we disagree on how much risk is necessary, I believe local politicians can be better controlled when their power is home based. I honestly do not understand PDP at all. But yes the differences are not too much.

I just think you Yoruba's are in danger of selling to the devil. The only state that can cope without the FG is Lagos and the natural allies of the SW are not in the core-North. Those are the two biggest clangers. I'm hearing stuff about rural states thats unreal; its best for the whole of the South and Middle Belt to sit and reach common ground than have unacheivable dreams. The only state that can afford to dream is Lagos.

I hope I've not been too diplomatic to be understood clearly. There realities on the ground we all need to face, I believe GEJ's view is quite longterm, but there is no better time than now to sieze opportunities.

I understand the coded diplomacy, but we don't know where his mind is, we don't know who is controlling him, there will always be an opportunity for the "Allliance" for now we need to be careful lest they sell us some useless widgets again. There is nothing wrong with opposition if you have decent local politicians, people like Awolowo, papa Ambrose Alli Of old Bendel state and co.

The collaboration hinted by Mimiko, Aregbe and Fayemi is nothing new at all. Awolowo did it with Odua group and SW governors revived it in 1999 with all of them, Adebayo, Adefarati,  Akande and Lam they jump-started Odua with joint restructuring of Wema, deep push into telecoms with Oduatel, Ikeja Hotels, Odua Textiles and many other Odua companies.

I was priviledged to see a bit of their early efforts and meetings plus attempts to get Lagos contributions into Odua before OBJ and the politics of Lets-join-the-center truncated the good moves they were making. You can imagine what one or two Fasholas would have done with that kind of determination.

PDP governors ignored that when they came in and messed up the inter-Odua cooperation, I can only imagine how much they could have achieved, now they have to relearn the ropes, make mistakes and restart again. Anyway won bi Won da to do any GNU that will put OBJ in charge again.

Ok I checked the Canbeck company out, they seem respected, but since I'm not sure about the methodology i'll just take it with a pinch of salt, KPMG and the Millenium Cities Initiative(MCI) data of 2008 contradicts them anyway at least in regards to Ondo State.
