I haven't been much trouble? Erm, sir, that would be if you consider dueling it out against feminists as "peaceful". I did all night and today but not the usual 'frenzied' showdown.

I've been playing the ardent literatti of late. I now keep a diary I'd be updating regularly.

The tuxedo might just be on for a little longer.cheesy

Well the showdown with the feminists most times are educating, although some get too profane while trying to make their points.

I think I would be interested in your diary, although am not a huge fan of keeping one but I always fancy reading one. Sleekyshuga's diary is a one stop for me before I hit the bed. Guess I would be including yours. cheesy

About the tux! Well, No comment. cheesy cheesy

You think so? I suppose it's because they've been relatively fewer people online since the fuel scarcity started. Maybe I am wrong.

You are very correct bruv!! I don't wanna believe all that "deactivate and gone" make believe.

Some would love to keep their online persona, considering the fact that it has an "online effect". That is why it hurts when they can't use their original moniker for a very long time to come as a result of a ban.

So many new monikers, most of which are just recycled oldies tryna work out something different so as not to be caught and sent to hades again. cheesy

Be it as it may, everywhere has been pretty calm of late which is a good thing.

You haven't been much trouble too of late I must commend. smiley wink

I'm not oblivious of the fact that joining words in issues like this is no different from the stimulation Chima gives you when home after a long day at work. But hold your breath a bit. cheesy

What we all are saying is that women should give what they want or expect from a man in a relationship. No one is championing the superiority of the male gender here like you're alluding. Give what you want in a relationship. The sex bait doesn't cut it for guys anymore. We need more than spreading of legs if you expect all those caring and worship twaddle crap you people normally rant about.
undecided

Exactly!! How hard is that to comprehend.

1st paragraph > and it's solely a man's responsibility right?

2nd paragraph > There is no amount of poverty that can stop anyone be it a man or woman from been romantic. It doesn't have to be an expensive dinner or buying expensive gifts. Oh well, you don't even know what it means to be romantic. Love/romance is a two way thing. It needs to be requitted for it to be ever green. When we show affection, we don't do it for what we will get in return(unlike most ladies). We do it out of love but when it's not requitted, it gets sour.

3rd paragraph > already answered.

4th paragraph > Nonsense!! So, because you're dating a broke girl, you shouldn't do anything to spice up your relationship right?? Humour me!

5th paragraph > You're the one at fault.

Nailed it!!! cheesy

MrsChima:
What you said has nothing to do with the core definition of romance. Romance is about doing something for your mate without expecting something in return. Each couple have their own opinions of what they think romance is but it still doesn't change the definition of romance. It is simply means doing something or saying something of love or kindness.

If you are dating a jobless or broke woman...you can't expect her to lavish you with gifts and if you are giving with hopes of getting something back then you are not romantic. Simple.

No one should not give a gift and then say because Boniface you a gift where is mine? No one is forcing you to give a gift or so things for other people. You don't get a reward for doing nice things out of your free will. You should get a thank you but that is it!

Men need to stop throwing things at broke or selfish womwn and then get mad if she doesn't do the same thing!

You are at fault! Learn and do better!

Seems you read my post in reverse. Did you skip the part where I said "she expects her man to do...."

Humour me with the core definition of romance? Who talked about getting something in return? Please don't even twist my words.

You clearly missed my emphasis on the fact that she still expects her man to give her a treat on his own birthday as if its her right.

You are so quick to start adding missing puzzles to my post. Saying what if she is jobless and broke. If I turned tables round and said the same about the guy, you would rant as how it isn't right for him to be in a relationship if he is broke.

Yet you forget so quickly where you opined that ladies should bring the same thing men bring into a relationship.

Since you have the standard definition of being romantic, what has it got to do with being broke? undecided

It's no surprise that most of their mindset have been routed in a direction that sex is their only boon. Little wonder they deploy it as a tool/bait whenever they intend to make a man fulfill his pledge or do their bidding. They have consider it their greatest asset and the the most valuable thing they have to offer in a relationship.

They keep raging on how they want a caring, romantic, and one who worships them negating or play ignorant of the fact that men need to be worshipped, cared for and loved too. Even some ladies you don't know from Adam would wake up and question your lack of concern towards her interest. Like men are a log of wood and some manipulative tool.

No one is hating on anyone, it doesn't add any value to our lives. However, a smart woman would assimilate and digest our agitations and subsequently treat their man right.

Exactly Bruv!!

Funny they keep deploying an overrated mechanism called sex. Little wonder why their hearts have multiple fragments as a result of several heart breaks. cheesy

Finally!!

Exactly what I have been expecting. Too bad a lotta ladies wouldn't agree with that. Truth is they are the ones always complaining of not finding a romantic man when they are not even close to being romantic.

For example; its her birthday, she expects her man to give her a treat, go shopping, do all sorts, spend the money he doesn't have just to put a smile on her face. Hell yeah!! Some ladies would say, he should do all that. Which is fine by me.

Then his birthday comes, she gets him a 500naira BYC singlet or probably a wristwatch and of course she still expects him to take her out and do all sorts, spend money he doesn't have else he gets tagged as being stingy.

Utter Rubbish!!

What would it cost her to give her man a simple dinner treat? It doesn't have to be something expensive. Now that's being romantic.

Well like you rightly put it, all women are not the same and do not have the same desires in a relationship. Finding that one who shares similar views always proves to be an herculean task.

Its good we have been able to find a common ground, which is that a lady shouldn't demand what she can't give in a relationship, so also the man.

I have read through the comments waiting to see who answers the emboldened last remark but still no one. These girls think life it's all about them. undecided

They wouldn't dare, cos they give us the same rhetoric as how they support, care and all those silly prattles.

Honestly they think Men are just designed to meet their needs. When guys demand for sex in return, they feel he is being self centered meanwhile they have been very self centered from the first day.

They expect us to keep up with the all the courtship charade when they themselves act like its their right of some sort.

Am not hating on them o, but I just think its about time they spare us all that "James hadley chase" crap of how a romantic man should be.

I would keep posing the question.

What do ladies bring into a relationship?

Well, women like undivided attention while she is talking

Women love for their husband to call them pet names "sugar, have you seen my car keys" not "woman, where are my keys"

Women love to be complimented. "Babe, you look terrific in that gown. I love it, you should wear it often"

Woman love to be appreciated. "Thank you honey, that was a nice meal"

Women love their men to remember anniversaries, birthdays,

You name it!

There it is!!

Here is exactly where I have a problem with most nigerian ladies. I would love to do all this if the feeling was mutual.

You all sound very funny when you claim that ladies are the ones with the emotions, as though guys are made up of rocky hearts and only "the sense of touch".

You hardly find a nigerian lady doing all these to her man and yet she expects to be treated as such. Now that's very self centered if you ask me.

If you can't do this then don't demand it either. Its that's simple. It takes two to tango.

Madam Chimo!! So what exactly is your point? What exactly is unrealistic biko?

Why do we get the same hogwash each time we ask the simple question;

What do ladies bring into a relationship?

#Gbam!!

That's why most relationships hit the rocks pretty quick. The man is expected to do everything, be romantic, be this, be that, etc. The lady is supposed to be at the receiving end.

Ask them what they bring to the relationship and they would be like, my time, my support, my care, bla bla bla.
