xtianfemi: .God bless you for this write-up,It is painful to see how Nigerians are treated outside. We know and see these "Hushpuppi"Guys around us,but we fail to report them appropriately. Please I need the contact of credible Civil Society Groups that can help fight this menace in Law Courts,
mvphenryeto5: I need your help, I changed my Lexus es 300 steering pressure pipe and the steering pump became stiff, thy changed the pump engine but the pump is still strong , it's only free on motion,
petra1: In the ongoing communion service Pastor Chris in a Question and Answer session. Answering to what was raised about those who feel they were born gay . Made it clear ftom scriptures no man is born Gay. Such practice is contrary to God's design.
Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars —they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
You can watch the communion service on the link below
He's right. The Almighty, All-knowing, All seeing God I serve is not an author of confusion. He created man and made him a help meet in form of a woman.
Eddee: Felt like trolling you this morning, so I will! I am willing to give the M112 the benefit of the doubt, but I bet your current car’s suspension can’t even handle half that speed without things breaking and vibrations to rival an angry volcanic eruption. But my Charger and even the IS does that constantly with ease and I have evidences.
FantasticJ: All these your plenty issues only happen when you buy a bad one with bad maintenance record.
I know someone who used the 2012 model like taxi in Lagos for about 4 years without any issue.
He only service the vehicle and it's done at Coscharis motors.
So, Oga, if you buy a good one and maintain it right, you will enjoy the vehicle.
All vehicles have their productions error.
You speak of the person but you don't know what he goes thru to maintain the vehicle so calm down.
You must have deep pockets to maintain a Ford, more so in Nigeria. Anything can go wrong at anytime. My cousin's dad own an Edge 2014, I've been fixing Fords for an organization for years so I know what I am talking about. I don't want to talk about the ones where dissatisfied customers pull out their faulty Ford vehicles from the dealership and handover to me to fix.
Experience based advice from usage and fixing is what I just offered.
Obiwank: Thanks for your response. I have really heard very bad things about the Acura brand in general and thats why it is not on my list.
Can you please elaborate on your point on the 2012 Ford? Is there a different year that you think it is better, especially if older (I have no intention of buying anything later than 2012 because it would be too expensive and no need to spend significantly on vacation car)
Would appreciate your insight.
Acura MDX from 2010 upwards were greatly mproved. They're highly complex and sophisticated vehicles than the two other vehicles (Pilot and Explorer) you mentioned. Personally, I know alot of cars that could fit into your bucket list for that 3rd row seats but I'd respect your choices.
Generally, Ford has quality control issues. Their 3.5 duratec whilst being powerful and more refined than the Honda J35 were known to overtime develop issues such as water pump failure which would damage the engine if not caught on time. The water pump is actually designed and placed in the heart of the engine thus making the water pump replacement a night mare job coupled with poor quality control in parts manufacturing. Their PTO shafts were known to leak oil and damage front differentials, their AC blend actuator or mixer motors and stepper motors were known to act up randomly and start pouring hot air into the cabin when the setting is on cold and that would warrant the needless manual reset of that mixer blend actuator The 2.0t ecoboost were known to run very hot and also, could rupture into fires. Also, I am not a fan of forced induction because its too many parts running together, generating great amounts of heat and reliability will be down south. Headlights though seemingly bright when you look at them, but aren't the best when you're the one driving especially on populated motor ways.
Areaboy2: Idiot.. Don't pull things out of context to feel like the bigger man.. Sh1t bag. Can you afford the damn car and you're here feeling kool about se-l Nonsense
Bro, no need to start all these dick measuring contests. Very needless. Plus, you need to tone down the insults and be nice to people.
NB, you may not even be able to afford the Headlight of the car he currently drives.
Leonardemma1: Seems getting a low mileage clean title is a bit tedious. The few i have been seeing are all AWD. I wand a RWD. Is any one worth it among the two options i suggested?
Their AWDs are actually not full time AWD. Rather, their AWD systems are mostly RWD on normal operations till slippage or hard accelerations occurs.
Truth be told, those RWDs are very high value treasures most drift fans won't want to give away. The AWD models suspensions are a tad scarce and more expensive. Also, the transmission for the AWD models are more expensive should they fail. The AWD also are heavier.
Obiwank: Hi All - I am considering buying either a Honda Pilot or Ford Explorer for use in Nigeria. I will use the vehicle during my vacation at the end of year (hopefully Covid is done by then) and will keep the vehicle for subsequent vacations. Both has 3rd row seats which is important for me given extended family.
I would appreciate views on cost / ease of maintenance and general experience using the cars in Nigeria. Even though I saw quite a number of Fords in Nigeria last trip, I am concerned whether I can get parts and mechanic easily if an emergency happens (especially in the East where I will be spending time)
No need to recommend Toyota Highlander - bought that before and honestly it is more expensive and the 3rd row does not have as much as space as the Honda and Ford.
Thanks in advance.
Guy, buy none of them. Pilot had the VCM issues which would later damage their engines, go read about it extensively online.
Ford Explorer of that year, were very unforgiving and quality of parts were questionable. They are quite unreliable and expensive when they get into their elements.
INDUSTRIALFAN: tomorrow people will come and be comparing German cars to Japanese cars..... anything Japanese just be like paper... steering sef no firm.. just soft like today bread. Small touch car don swerve.
Stockquality: He should have maintained medium speed at least 70 to 90kp/h. Lexus es 02to 06 na rear wheel drive, plus the speed too much for a sedan. I can buy a lexus, but can never use it to travel at high speed, men nawa o. All lexus es must compress, I dont know but I feel safer in an suv than sedan, fuc k.
MansoryMX: I will make it brief and mix my English with our local pigin English so expect a poor write up base on area wey I be. I won’t say the school name for security reasons but this matter xup yesterday!
My wife went to celebrate matric with her kid sister. Initially I told her I can’t make it but i planned on giving them a surprise visit with two of my friend who accompanied me since the school is my zanga I graduated from years back. I was already driving close to the close gate when I noticed my wife calling me, I picked up the call only for me to hear my wife raging so angrily that one guy approached her, she flashed her wedding ring for him to get lost and this guy had the guts to grab her hands and tell her that he will give her 50k if she follows him to an hote let them get down that he likes her. My mother in-law is there as well and overhead all the idiot said and shouted at him for disrespecting her daughter and a married woman for that matter! he cursed at my wife’s mom. I told my wife am at the school gate and she was so shocked! I got there just in time, the goat is still there sitting at the front of his Benz. The mending, beating and brutality my hommies who accompanied me gave him! Plus the flying heading I gave his mouth! He won’t forget it in a long time!
Have we lost our morals as young people? Is this the best way to approach a lady even if you want to toast one! Only God can help this country! Yahoo yahoo has crippled sanity in this country. Las last school CSO picked him up and hand over him to the police. I showed them my Navy Mess ID card and showed him that he messed with the wrong married woman. Bro begged liked a puss*. Told them to let him go. Young lads be careful how you harass young women. Some are married to educated hoodlum like me.
Guy, you did well, only that you didn't break his leg, hand and 4 front teeths for that mumu nonsense he did. Sometimes, violence is the answer since most stupid youths have lost their morals to fraud money.
SeaTrade: The only luck you get be say the guy no get crew, else you'd have been screwed for real(cultists). I don't support his act ,but you laying hands on him when he didn't lay hands on your people was wrong. Talk is free, women get all sorts of comments from different people all the time,it is only advisable a smart woman simply turn down such advances and go her way, rather than calling the husband to come and fight. Your wife is a dull and classless woman in my opinion, what if the scenario turned out worse and you and your crew ended up getting injured? Over what a simple "not interested" would have solved? I'm sure you'd want to come and beat me too,be my guest mr flying nodding. Treat things like this with tact next time.
What rubbish are you trying to defend? Are you a yahoo yahoo hoodlum? If you have no sensible thing to say just shut up cos from the rubbish you posted e be like day fowl don chop your brain.
melviniyke2002: dis is not true.... P0420 indicates that the catalytic converter is not functioning efficiently...
She gave a lot of misinformation in that catalytic converter threat that made front page. Unfortunately, most Nigerians (who do not bother to carry out independent research) have swallowed this misinformation hook, line and sinker.
eherbal: wonder why you're pained? The suggestion made to the gentleman is many out mirads of remote and immediate problems accruing to the limp issue, but you had to show off your stupidity, by trying to rubbish my posit. You joblessly went as far as checking my post about corolla being a performance car. Are you sure you have work to do? A Corolla moves from point A to point B,has it not performed it functions? Is that not a car that performs? Is that not a performance car?Abi wéré Leleyi ni?
As usual, you still failed to shock me. Rather than saying something sensible, you still resorted to say insensible things. By the way, how's your babalawo/herbalist business? It seems its no longer thriving hence your move to automobile related talks.
Well, I'd leave you to keep wallowing in ignorance and joblessness.
eherbal: these are suggestions sir,not affirmations. Pls be quick to offer your own assistance rather than trying to be a blinking smart arse.
I'd say you're needlessly arrogant and well uninformed. Have you ever wrenched a Mercedes benz? I guess not Have I wrenched a Mercedes benz? Even today, I did fix one.
From your previous post, I knew you thought of a corolla as a very high performance fast sedan.
You and I don't belong to same school of thought and demographics. Stick to what you know and stop commenting on what you know nothing about.
If you wanna disapprove of my comment, pls, shock me, say something reasonable.
Foolishbuhari: The Tacoma goes head to head with the Ford Ranger and F150 in the US in terms of reliability, ruggedness and hard-work but the F150 always trumps it, while the Ranger follows behind the Tacoma. Funny though, in Nigeria, the hilux goes head to head with the Ford Ranger in comparison Lol
You're wrong. Tacoma don't compete with F150. The Bigger Tundra does.
For that segment of mid sized pick up trucks, the Tacoma hold its own well and does a very thorough job. The Americans love it and its got some serious cult followership.
